Chapter 543: Chapter 547 Flying Immortal Together
An old man stepped forward, cold and ruthless. He decided Ye Fan’s fate, intending to execute him immediately.
“What’s with your arrogance, old fellow? Didn’t you see this emperor here? Get over here and pay your respects!” the Black Emperor swaggered, its four large paws pressing on the ground, sticking out its bright red tongue as it scolded.
As a Grand Elder of a Sacred Land, he was incredibly respected. Who would dare speak to him like this? Being mocked by a mere dog outraged him. He desperately wanted to curse, but because of his status and face, he held back. That damn dog! he thought.
“Hey, you mangy mutt! This emperor is talking to you, didn’t you hear?” the big black dog snarled, glaring sideways. “You like finding people guilty, don’t you? Well, I’ll give you a taste of your own medicine! e here and meet your doom!”
“I’ll slaughter you!”
Even a clay figure has some temper, let alone a person of such eminence. Who dared to defy him? He was instantly furious.
“Damn it, hold on!” The big black dog stretched out a large paw, tilting its head without looking at the man, blocking him.
“So, is this a one-on-one duel, or are you planning to gang up on me?” the big black dog bared its teeth, spewing vulgarities while striking a pose like some unworldly master.
“Nonsense, your grandma! Is it a life-and-death duel between us two, or are all you old geezers going to jump this emperor at once?” The big black dog’s relentless taunts made the man’s chest ache with fury.
“Damn it, I’ll kill you right now!” he finally roared, unable to bear it any longer.
“My, my, what kind of person are you?” the big black dog remarked. “To live to such an old age and still be so crude. You have no class at all.”
Everyone was dumbfounded. This dog had been cursing nonstop, yet here it was accusing others of having no manners. It was truly one of a kind.
“WHOOSH!”
The Grand Elder couldn’t bear it any longer. Feeling like smoke was about to erupt from his head, he thrust out a finger. A black light tore through the air, aiming for the Black Emperor’s skull.
“You have no integrity! A sneak attack!” the big black dog bellowed, its maw gaping wide. “This emperor demands a fair and square deathmatch with you!”
Everyone felt their teeth ache. This dog was infuriating! Some wished they could throw it into a pot right then and there, stew it with oil, salt, soy sauce, and vinegar, give it a good stir, and then eat it.
“For fairness, we fight outside! A one-on-one, life-and-death battle! When this emperor makes a move, it will be a legendary fight for the ages!”
“That dog talks too much! Elder Qi, go outside and dice it up!” many people yelled, unable to stand it anymore.
The big black dog shot out like a bolt of lightning, faster than a rabbit, making a clean getaway.
“Damn you, dog! Stop right there!” Elder Qi roared, his forehead throbbing with black veins of fury.
“Like hell I will! You think this emperor actually wants to waste time on you? Let’s just call it a day. See you in five hundred years!” The big black dog sprinted madly, glancing back to add, “Ye brat, hang in there! I’ll avenge you in five hundred years!”
That infuriating dog! everyone cursed inwardly.
Unfortunately, its jubilation was short-lived. THUD! It was struck and sent flying back. A peerless expert had secretly sealed off the entire area; not even a sparrow could escape.
“AOW…”
The big black dog let out a miserable howl. Injured, it tumbled through the air, using the momentum to land near Liu Yiyi.
Liu Yiyi had been tossed aside and ignored by everyone, deemed useless. The Black Emperor managed to sneak over and hoist her onto its back.
From the shadows, where peerless masters lay in ambush, a sovereign-level expert stepped forward.
“Damn it! This emperor will fight you all to the death!” the Black Emperor raged.
“Black Emperor, get over here!” Ye Fan transmitted his voice secretly.
Unfortunately, an expert was isolating them, preventing them from reuniting. Silently and without a trace, several old men appeared, suppressing the entire area. There were even sovereign-level individuals among them!
They really hold me in high regard… Ye Fan marveled. Even sovereigns have e.
“You damned dog! ARGH—” Elder Qi, who had been rushing forward, clutched his throat. He let out a strangled cry as his headless corpse slumped to the ground. A streak of rainbow light had flashed past, obliterating his head into a bloody mist.
“What was that?!” Everyone stared in shock.
In its paw, the big black dog clutched a small black wooden box. Inside, a tiny one-inch sword trembled, emitting a palpable sword aura. It was this very sword that had flown out and beheaded the Grand Elder.
I didn’t expect this little trinket from some forgotten corner to be so effective, the dog thought. Needless to say, this was something the Black Emperor had brought out from the Ancient Emperor Mountain.
Several Elders surrounded the dog, but a tense standoff formed as none dared to advance.
On the Great Snow Peak, majestic ice pines stood with branches reaching skyward. A cold wind howled, whipping up flurries of snow and sending ice shards flying.
Here, ominous figures gathered, surrounding Ye Fan. Ignoring the motion with the big black dog, the crowd prepared to attack him all at once, intending to give him no chance to escape.
The Wanchu sacred lady stood among them, her face pale. One of her jade-like arms had been torn off. She was drenched in cold sweat, her waist-length black hair stained with blood, and she looked as if she might faint at any moment.
“Isn’t there a single one among you who dares to face me in a duel?” Ye Fan challenged, looking at the thirteen Saint Heirs with a hint of mockery.
The expressions of every Saint Heir present changed. No one had ever spoken to them with such contempt, not since they were children!
They were the prodigies of the Eastern Wastelands, always the center of attention, proud and revered. When had they ever been so disdained?
Yet, at this moment, not a single one stepped forward. None of them had the confidence to overpower Ye Fan; they had all probed his strength just moments ago.
The thirteen Saint Heirs were helpless against him. Some had been severely injured, and one had even been killed. The bloody price of their previous attempts was a stark warning.
“Haha…” Ye Fan laughed wildly, his arrogance blatant. His unruly hair danced in the wind, and his eyes flashed like lightning.
This manding aura, this air of absolute superiority, infuriated them. Yet, still, no one dared to confront him.
The sacred body had developed to such an extent that few in the younger generation of the Eastern Wastelands could rival him. This was a source of helpless despair for them.
Apart from the Flickering Light Saint Heir, the Eastern Wastelands Divine King, and Hua Yunfei, who else could possibly stand against him? they wondered. They truly couldn’t think of anyone.
He crippled his own cultivation base? To hell with that! Who would believe such a lie?
“If that’s how it is, then all of you e at me together!” Ye Fan declared, looking down on the assembled masters with utter disdain. “I’ll send every last one of you on your way to the afterlife!”
Seeing his demeanor, everyone grew uncertain. No one stepped forward, fearing he had some devastating trap prepared. They hesitated, indecisive.
“Haha…” Ye Fan laughed again, his gaze sweeping over the thirteen Saint Heirs, then lingering for a moment on the Grand Elders and half-step sovereigns.
His laughter was particularly grating. Everyone felt the condescension in it and seethed with fury. So many of them surrounded him, yet he dared to be so brazen!
“I’ll kill him!”
An Elder from the Wanchu Sacred Land, at the sixth transformation of the Dragon Transformation realm, stepped forward, advancing aggressively. It was well known that experts of this level had been able to hunt Ye Fan down in the past.
“BOOM!”
He held a Copper Tower in his hand, which pressed down with the weight of a mountain. Standing atop the tower, his power was immense, causing the Snow Peak itself to crumble and trigger a terrifying avalanche, like a colossal tsunami.
“BANG!”
Ye Fan leaped like a dragon, his entire body surging with enormous Qi. He triggered the All Secret, his bat Power instantly increasing tenfold, and threw a punch that seemed to tear through the sky!
“CLANG!”
A thunderous sound erupted. The Copper Tower, a secret treasure, sucked Ye Fan inside. Everyone rejoiced.
However, their smiles froze before they could fully blossom. Cracks began to spread across the body of the tower, and the mountain-sized ancient pagoda shattered.
From the very top, Ye Fan burst out, his attack shattering the expert who had been standing there into several pieces!
His golden fist smashed forward relentlessly, as if punching through soft mud, tearing the Elder into multiple segments. Bones and bloody flesh splattered everywhere.
An expert at the sixth transformation of the Dragon Transformation realm, along with his spiritual treasures, was dealt with by Ye Fan in a single punch. There was no suspense, and everyone gasped in cold horror.
“Has he achieved the circle of perfection in the Four Extremes realm?”
“Previously, when Ye Fan was at the Second Layer Heaven of the Four Extremes, he could battle experts at the fourth transformation of the Dragon Transformation realm. Deducing from that, he must have advanced even further!”
“No, that’s not right. He’s at the Third Layer Heaven of the Four Extremes. He hasn’t reached the circle of perfection yet!” someone observed, noticing the details.
“But… why do I get the feeling he *has* reached perfection?” another person voiced a different opinion.
It wasn’t Ye Fan’s current bat Power that truly frightened them, but his astonishing cultivation speed. It was simply too fast! Less than a year had passed. Could he really have advanced two entire layers?
“If you’re not convinced, then e at me together! I’ll cut every single one of you down!” Ye Fan’s confidence and arrogance ignited their fury. A half-step sovereign stepped forward, intent on destroying him.
“CLANG!”
Above Ye Fan’s head, an ancient cauldron materialized. It emitted a resonant, vibrating tone, like morning bells and evening drums, shaking one’s very soul. Countless strands of Origin Qi flowed down from it, enveloping him in a tight defense.
At this moment, everyone’s gaze burned with an intense fire. All eyes were fixated on the Origin Qi foundation—a holy divine relic left behind by an Ancient Heavenly Emperor!
“Foolish!” the half-step sovereign sneered, a mocking glint in his eyes. He stretched out a large hand, reaching forward to seize the cauldron directly.
“ARGH—!”
Suddenly, blood gushed from the half-step sovereign’s hand. Flesh and bone became a mangled mess, as if crushed by a Great Mountain; his finger bones had shattered.
“What is inside that cauldron?!” he shrieked, recoiling in horror and stumbling backward. He felt a terrifying presence, as if a fierce, dormant phoenix lay within, capable of incinerating all existence.
It was, naturally, the Ancient Saint, sealed within the Divine Sources. Even Ye Fan felt as though his body might disintegrate if he got too close. For others to physically reach into the cauldron would undoubtedly result in grievous self-injury.
Several half-step sovereigns pressed forward, intending to join forces against Ye Fan and kill him.
“AWWOOO…”
On the other side, the Black Emperor yelped miserably. The black wooden box was struck from its paw. It bit into a mouthful of snow, nearly tumbling into the Snow Valley, and Liu Yiyi slid from its back to the ground.
“SWISH!”
The Wanchu sacred lady rushed over, snatched up Yiyi, and laughed with cold cruelty.
“Ye Fan, kneel before me immediately and beg for mercy like a dog!” she screamed. Though her severed arm could regenerate in the future, she was now teetering on the brink of madness.
“You want me to kneel before you?” Ye Fan sneered coldly. “That’s something you’ll never witness in this lifetime.”
“If you don’t kneel, I’ll make you watch her die right now!” The Wanchu sacred lady’s eyes flashed with a frigid light.
A bloody line appeared on Liu Yiyi’s slender neck where a Silver Blade was held. A trickle of bright red blood oozed out. Her face was a mask of sorrow and confusion, and for her, time seemed to freeze.
Ye Fan’s heart nearly stopped beating. He seethed with a silent rage, his fingers clenched so tightly they turned white, and his black hair trembled though there was no wind.
“Kneel before me in public and beg…” the Wanchu sacred lady smirked, her voice dripping with cold malice.
“Ye Fan… go…” Liu Yiyi managed to say.
Ye Fan calmed himself. He took the cauldron from above his head, shrinking it to the size of his fist, and held it in his palm. Looking at everyone, he declared, “Whoever is the first to kill that vile woman and rescue Yiyi, I will give this cauldron to them.”
These assailants had all e with their identities concealed; no one knew who was who. Upon hearing Ye Fan’s words, many grew visibly agitated. A palpable killing intent began to spread. Who wouldn’t be tempted by a holy divine relic from an Ancient Heavenly Emperor?
“You—!” The Wanchu sacred lady was startled. She shoved Liu Yiyi away. The Black Emperor immediately leaped up and caught her again.
“Enough talk! We can discuss the cauldron’s ownership after we kill him!” a sovereign declared, pressing forward. Everyone else converged.
“CLANG!”
Ye Fan threw the cauldron onto the ground. This caused an instant uproar. All the figures who had been lurking in the shadows emerged, surging forward, afraid of being left behind.
“Let’s see what miracles you can perform now!” a sinister voice snarled, filled with endless hatred.
“The chance to slay the sacred body is right before us!” the crowd roared, their murderous intent flooding the mountain range.
“Everyone,” Ye Fan laughed, “let’s all ascend to immortality together! I’ll send you on your way!”
He naturally had a trump card up his sleeve; otherwise, he would never have dared to e here just to die. He wouldn’t sacrifice his life in vain.
However, it’s not about using the Ancient Saint, he thought. That’s a double-edged sword. If I unleash it, I’ll likely die too!
“BOOM!”
A vast Thunder Sea descended from the sky, instantly inundating the area. This was an ocean of Heavenly Tribulation!
“Damn it, kid! You forgot about me! Including me in this mess—you’re utterly shameless!” the Black Emperor shrieked, desperately shielding Yiyi.
Ye Fan had been in seclusion, not to achieve a breakthrough, but to reach this precise critical point. He had been suppressing his advancement, only to unleash it now, here, to undergo his tribulation!
