Chapter 582: Chapter 586: The Sacred Bones of Wu Chao

In this small world, the vegetation was lush, spiritual medicines were abundant, tides surged, and a vast amount of Innate Essence Qi existed—it was an ancient heaven and earth.

“I finally understand why the Ancient races were so powerful! The environment they lived in was just like this, with Spiritual Qi like water. They certainly progressed rapidly!”

“These ancient trees, towering to the sky, have been growing for tens of thousands of years and haven’t died yet. If they were outside, they would have long dried up.”

Dongfang Ye and the others couldn’t help but be amazed. This was a Spirit Realm akin to Ancient times, filled with a mysterious Qi Mechanism.

In this Inner World, various rare treasures and exotic items could be seen, but there was one peculiar point: ancient trees could not transform, and strange and spiritual beasts could not transcend tribulations.

This area had mysterious Array Patterns suppressing everything. There were incredibly powerful beast kings, yet no humanoid ancient demons.

“This small world…” Ye Fan stared blankly. He felt physically fortable, his pores relaxed, making it easy for him to enter the Enlightenment Realm.

The Laws of the Great Heaven and Earth outside had changed, making it unsuitable for the Sacred Body to cultivate; one could only advance by defying the heavens. But this place was different; it preserved all the Order and Laws of the Ancient era, which resonated with his physical body.

“The Immortal Path is often auspicious. The Ghost Path is often ominous. Exalted and clear spirit beauty. Sad songs echo in the vast sky. I only wish the Immortal Path succeeds, not that the Human Dao is exhausted.”

Ye Fan spontaneously recited. After speaking, he was momentarily dazed; it was a flash of enlightened inspiration. This small world made his heart feel clear, with the Dao acpanying him.

“This is truly a good place! Cultivating here for a year is equivalent to decades outside!” Daoist Duan De rubbed his hands, his eyes passionate, actually wanting to collect this small world.

“Unless an Ancient Saint arrives, no one can collect a small world,” the old blind man said, shaking his head regretfully.

“This is a pond formed by liquified Spiritual Qi!” the barbarian exclaimed.

Just ahead was a pond, only about a meter across. Colorful mist surrounded it, and enormous Qi surged forth. Flowing mist overflowed with bright, auspicious light, creating a splendid and peaceful scene.

It had formed from the liquefaction of the energy of heaven and earth. Some Sources had crystallized into transparent crystals by the pond, and many spiritual medicines grew nearby.

“This is an Exotic Source! We’re witnessing its evolutionary process!” The group was amazed.

Then they searched with excited hearts. They knew that if they could find a Divine Source Pond, it would truly be a priceless Immortal Burial. This was because Divine Source Liquid allowed a person to seal themselves and exist forever.

For everyone below the Great Emperor, it was a method of indirectly achieving Longevity. That was how the Royal Families of Ancient Times had survived.

“Divine Source Liquid!” Fat Duan shouted, rushing over immediately. Under an Ancient Tree, there was a small pit, only fist-sized. Divine Light soared from it, illuminating the whole Ancient Tree in brilliant green.

The group gathered around, marveling. Ancient Times had long passed, and by now, such Divine Source Liquid had bee legendary, essentially unseen.

“It could allow you to preserve a fist or two eyes in immortality,” Ye Fan joked.

Fat Duan laughed endlessly. He took out a small cauldron and carefully sealed the Divine Source Liquid inside. He then applied eighty-one heavy seals with a plex mysterious art, fearing it would solidify instantly.

“We must keep searching! Who knows, maybe we’ll find a Divine Source lake!” Daoist Duan De exclaimed, still unsatisfied and eager for a greater harvest.

Sadly, they knew it was impossible. Even during Ancient Times, Divine Source Liquid was extremely rare, something encountered by chance but not sought.

“ROAR…”

From afar, a roar echoed. Magnificent landscapes trembled, and the leaves of endless Spirit Wood scattered chaotically. Leaf-green light twinkled, and spiritual medicines exhaled fragrant mist, swaying in response.

“Damn, that is… a dragon!” the old blind man exclaimed, so shocked the whites of his eyes showed, his black pupils darting around, brighter than anyone else’s.

Eight or nine miles away, among those majestic mountains, a dragon leaped into the sky. It was more than two hundred zhang long, with azure scales sparkling. Its dragon head was held high, its Divine Horns branching like a forest.

The barbarian’s eyes burned intensely. “I ate a Wild Dragon before,” he said. “They said it was actually just a Flood Dragon. Could it be that today I’ve truly had the good fortune to see a True Dragon?!”

An old monk and two top sovereigns were subduing the dragon. The three of them battled it together but only managed a draw; the fight was extremely intense.

“That’s a Flood Dragon. It has already achieved the Dao and bee a Barbaric Ancient Beast King. It’s even about to break through! It’s overpowering three peak human race powerhouses. Truly powerful,” the old blind man finally confirmed.

In another part of the sky, flames towered. There stood a Fusang Tree, reaching into the heavens. Atop it was a crow’s nest, with fire raging.

A Three-legged Golden Crow broke through the sky and battled two Emperors. Its golden bird body seemed tempered from gold, and its divine flame burned so intensely that half the sky seemed on the verge of collapse.

“Treasures are everywhere here…”

At this moment, the old blind man’s eyes were sharper than anyone’s. They shot out two green lights, like a wolf’s, piercing the crow’s nest on the Fusang Tree. “There are three eggs inside,” he declared. “Although they aren’t true Golden Crows, with proper nurturing, they’ll be inparably powerful divine birds.”

He wanted to borrow Star River, the only spiritual treasure left by the Star River King, from Daoist Duan De. He intended to steal a Golden Crow Egg to nurture an avian king and use it as a mount.

Needless to say, once such a Golden Crow matured, it would be two points more formidable than the Peacock King. It was invaluable beyond measure; no one could resist.

However, stealing eggs now was akin to taking chestnuts from the fire, fraught with life-threatening danger.

“Will you lend it or not?” the old blind man asked, rolling his eyes.

“So the one borrowing the treasure bees the master now? Old coot, let me tell you, it’s no big deal if you perish, but you absolutely must return my ‘Star River’! Don’t lose it,” Daoist Duan De said, reluctantly lending it to him.

WHOOSH!

Star River spanned the sky like a celestial river, instantly spreading out and carrying them all towards the Fusang Tree.

“Old shaman, you brought us up here as well!”

“Everyone, please help. It’s difficult for me to approach the Ancient Tree alone,” the old blind man apologized.

Everyone: “@##¥%…”

Everyone wanted to kick him, but they were already flying high. In a blink of an eye, they were submerged in the branches and leaves of the Ancient Tree; it was too late to retreat.

This Fusang Ancient Tree stood half a head taller than the surrounding mountains, reaching into the sky. Its entire body was a pale gold, with infinite fierce flames burning on it.

“This Ancient Tree is a strange treasure! It can be refined into a Fire Divine Treasure!” Daoist Duan De drooled.

“It is not the genuine Fusang Divine Tree; this is a similar Fire Tree King. According to legend, the true Fusang Wood is in the Immortal World, where undying Ancient Golden Crows reside. Even Daoist saints are helpless against them,” the old blind man said.

The pale golden leaves of the Fire Tree King RUSTLED loudly. Flames soared, scorching hot, and they all had to use their divine mystical arts to withstand the heat.

In the nest, there were three golden eggs, none too huge, only about the size of a human head. However, they emitted a powerful wave of Divine Energy.

Each egg was like a golden fireball, radiating an intimidatingly high temperature. It was so hot that even at a distance, one would feel a burning sensation all over.

“I will only take one Divine Egg. I won’t sever this exotic divine poultry’s bloodline inheritance,” the old blind man chanted, adopting a passionate expression.

“Clearly an egg thief, yet still acting so pretentiously!” the barbarian scoffed. He had originally intended to snatch a Divine Egg too, but now he felt embarrassed.

“Something’s not right! There’s a supreme treasure in this nest!” Daoist Duan De cried out as they got closer. The others also sensed an unusual Qi Mechanism.

Holy, harmonious, vast—a pure Origin Power flowed, making the entire nest extraordinarily clear and unique.

“SQUEAK, SQUEAK, SQUEAK…” In Daoist Duan De’s sleeve, the spirit rat squeaked continuously. It was a descendant of a Treasure Hunting Rat. Although its bloodline was thin, preventing it from achieving divine munication, it could still sense something at this close range.

They landed on top of the nest and nearly toppled over, overwhelmed by a surging, awe-inspiring force that made them tremble.

“A divine object!”

The group finally discovered the anomaly. Beneath the three golden eggs in the center of the nest lay a bone. It was extremely ancient, with a pale golden glow flowing from it.

“A Saint’s Bone!”

“An indestructible Saint’s Bone!”

“This is… the Saint’s Bone left behind after self-transformation into the Dao!”

They all exclaimed.

Even after Ancient Saints passed away, their flesh would endure immortally. However, some Saints did not wish to leave their physical forms behind and opted to disperse themselves through Transformation.

However, occasionally one or two of their most resilient bones would remain. These were the strongest parts of their bodies from their lifetime, which even their Transformation could not erase, and so they were preserved eternally.

“This is an arm bone left by a Saint after Transformation! It’s an invaluable divine object! If refined into a weapon, the results would be unimaginable!”

They were all tempted and reached out simultaneously. Even Jue Youqing, usually so ethereal and detached, couldn’t help but wield her Bodhi Branch, its green leaves flickering.

However, none could move faster than Ye Fan, because he had mastered the Art of Swift Motion. He snatched it up instantly. At that moment, his entire body trembled; the Saint’s Bone contained supreme power that made his Heart Spirit quiver.

“Brother Ye, please give me this Saint’s Bone! Consider it as if I owe you my life!” the barbarian earnestly pleaded.

Daoist Duan De and the old blind man also clamored, willing to trade everything for it. This included the Star River treasure, turtle shells, Divine King Weapons; even hundreds of thousands or millions of jin of Sources would be no problem.

“This Saint’s Bone is crucial for me…” Dongfang Ye solemnly requested, explaining his situation.

He hailed from a remote ancient forest in the Central States. The Wolf Fang Club he wielded was once a supreme divine weapon but had unfortunately been severely damaged in an ancient, world-shaking battle. To repair it, a divine object like this Saint’s Bone was needed for refinement.

“Don’t tell me this Wolf Fang Club was originally a Saint Soldier…” Daoist Duan De and the others exclaimed, astonished.

The barbarian didn’t respond. Instead, he looked at Ye Fan and said, “Later, I’ll help you acquire the Ancient Scriptures. I have my own Ancient Heavenly Technique, so I don’t need another method.”

Ye Fan thought for a moment. He possessed the Origin Qi Cauldron. Although the sole Saint’s Bone left after an Ancient Saint’s Transformation was powerful and an invaluable divine object, it still couldn’t rival his cauldron. Thus, it was of little use to him.

Immediately, he handed the Saint’s Bone to the barbarian, knowing that he had gained a powerful ally for the future.

The barbarian was extremely excited. “In the future, once the Saint’s Law is engraved onto it, this Wolf Fang Club will be pletely restored!” he exclaimed.

The old blind man and Daoist Duan De had fiery looks in their eyes, but they maintained decorum and did not resort to fighting amongst themselves or snatching it.

“Don’t be disappointed. I’ll give you a Golden Crow Egg,” Ye Fan said with a laugh, handing a scorching hot, golden Divine Egg to the old blind man.

“This was originally what I was going to take…” the old blind man grumbled, rolling his eyes.

“Oh, there’s a piece of green copper here,” the barbarian said, squatting down. He retrieved a Rotten Copper Plate from a crevice in the nest beneath his feet. It was unknown how many countless ages it had existed, and it was covered in mottled green rust.

On the Green Copper Plate, even the rust couldn’t conceal the engravings. Tiny characters densely covered it, like an Ancient Scripture, and a Dao rhythm flowed from it.

“Brother Ye, have a look,” the barbarian said, handing it to Ye Fan. (To be continued. If you want to know what happens next, please log in to . More chapters are available. Support the author and support legitimate reading!)
