Chapter 128: Nurse Miss

Dinner.

Eggplant stir-fry, shredded eggplant, deep-fried eggplant squares.

Side dish accompanied by carrot salad.

Generally speaking, the last al before a prisoner’s execution is called the “last al”, and it’s often sumptuous, with a variety of poultry, fish, and at dishes.

But for Leon, this highly targeted dinner was a clever combination of his last al and his execution.

He held the knife and fork, unsure where to start. After so consideration, he decided to start with a glass of water to calm his nerves.

But when he glanced aside, he found that Rosvitha had already placed a large glass of carrot juice on the table, replacing the water glass.

She even blocked his last attempt to drink water until he was full. “She’s really punishing just because I didn’t teach our daughter fire magic?” Leon thought sardonically.

Crunch—

The crisp sound of a carrot being bitten ca from beside him. Leon looked over.

Rosvitha rested her chin in one hand, holding a carrot in the other. Her lips parted slightly as she bit off the tip of the carrot, then slowly chewed it.

Seeing Leon’s gaze, Rosvitha generously offered the carrot to him. “Want so? Here, have a bite.”

Leon lowered his eyes to the carrot, noticing the faint lipstick marks left by Rosvitha on the bitten end. The next mont, the rich scent of carrot wafted into his nostrils.

Wow, it felt like Rosvitha had just injected twenty pounds of nthol directly into his brain—refreshing beyond belief.

He quickly turned his head away, trying to find sothing else on the table that he could eat.

Unfortunately, there was nothing.

Mother dragon always did things decisively, leaving no room for Leon to maneuver.

anwhile, Muen was happily munching on the fried eggplant made by her mother, which was stuffed with delicious at filling, not making a sound with every bite.

It seed the little sweetheart had no intention of helping her old father out, so Leon had to figure sothing out on his own.

The dragon slayer had an idea. Suddenly, he said, “Oh, I’ll go check how much of last ti’s birthday cake is left. If we don’t eat it soon, it’ll go bad.”

Just as Leon was about to get up, Rosvitha said, “I already distributed it to Anna and the others this afternoon. Don’t worry, it hasn’t gone bad. Sit down and eat, dear.”

“…” Leon sat back down awkwardly, pursing his lips. He tried to feign indignation, “How could you give it all away? Muen really likes that cake. If you give it all away, what will Muen eat?”

He attempted to regain so semblance of control over the dinner through moral pressure.

But Rosvitha seed to have anticipated his response. She calmly brought out a slice of cake from the side and placed it next to Muen’s plate, then looked at Leon with a smile.

“You’re right, I almost forgot. I did save a slice for Muen. Thanks for reminding , dear.”

As the saying goes, when God closes a door, he opens a window for you.

But here, Rosvitha was like a god, not only closing the only door but also welding shut all the windows. And she filled the room with eggplants and carrots for good asure.

Leon pursed his lips and quietly set down his knife and fork. It wasn’t a big deal to skip one al; after all, it wouldn’t starve him.

The queen glanced sideways, seeing her captive showing signs of stubborn resistance and persistence. So she decided to deploy her next move.

“Muen,” Rosvitha suddenly called out her daughter’s na.

“What’s wrong, Mom?” Muen looked up from her battle with the fried eggplant.

“Is learning magic these days very hard?” Rosvitha asked.

Muen shook her head. “It’s not hard for . Dad teaches so well and patiently explains all sorts of magic techniques to . So if anyone’s having a hard ti, it’s Dad.”

The little sweetheart always understood her father’s intentions.

But for now, she could put that understanding aside…

“So you’ve been working so hard, dear. Why didn’t you tell ? I’d like to share the burden with you,” Rosvitha said affectionately as she sat down next to Leon.

Leon had a bad feeling about this and tried to shift away, but Rosvitha had already grabbed his wrist. Then she placed a piece of roasted eggplant on his plate.

“I’ve been busy with work lately, and there’s not much I can do. You should eat more, dear,” she said softly.

“I… I’m not really hungry…” Leon tried to protest.

“Tsk, that won’t do. After a hard day’s work, your body won’t hold up if you don’t eat. Muen, tell Daddy, isn’t it necessary for him to eat?”

The little dragon girl nodded earnestly. “Daddy, you taught that you have to eat three als a day to stay healthy.”

Adding a rhy to it. Darling, are you aiming for a scholarship?

“Dear, are you too tired to feed yourself? It’s okay, I’ll feed you.”

“Stop… no need…” Leon tried to struggle.

“It’s okay, co on, dear, open your mouth, ahhh~”

The aroma of roasted eggplant wafted up.

From an objective perspective, Rosvitha’s cooking skills were unparalleled, and the roasted eggplant was delicious in every aspect.

But for Leon, it was poison, it was despair, it was the root of the world’s destruction!

“Rosvitha!—”

Before he could finish uttering her na, Leon blacked out right in front of him.

If Rosvitha could contact the Empire, she would definitely provide the newspaper with tomorrow’s front-page headline:

Shock! The strongest dragon slayer, Leon Casmode, taken down by roasted eggplant!

It would surely cause quite a stir.

“Hmph, no wonder there are no eggplants in your nutritious als. Turns out they work so well.”

When she saw Teg, the old guy ntioned that Leon hated carrots and eggplants the most.

Last ti, Rosvitha had achieved good results with just one carrot.

But this ti, she went all out, despair squared, and the effect was remarkable.

“Mom, why did Dad faint?” Muen asked with concern.

“Oh, Dad might be too tired. He’ll be fine after resting,” Rosvitha replied.

“Is that so… Hmm… then Mom will be spirited tomorrow morning…” Muen muttered softly.

Rosvitha raised an eyebrow. “Hmm? What does that an?”

She thought her daughter was hoping she would feel better because she seed a bit unwell these past few days and hadn’t been eating much. But how was that related to the first half of “Dad’s too tired”?

Muen explained,

“Earlier, my sister and I noticed a pattern. Whenever Dad is lively, Mom seems weak, and vice versa. There’s always one of you who looks a bit low-spirited,” Muen said.

“But this hasn’t happened for a long ti, and now Dad fainted again… So Mom will be lively again tomorrow morning, right?”

Children’s worlds are always so innocent and pure. But Rosvitha couldn’t explain to her in detail why this phenonon occurred.

After all, a child who covers her eyes even when her parents kiss can’t understand such things.

“Yeah, Mom will be fine soon. I’m sorry for worrying you these days,” Rosvitha said.

Muen shook her head and then instructed, “Mom, you must take care of yourself and Dad.”

Rosvitha glanced at the prisoner who had been defeated by eggplant, her lips curling up slowly. “Okay, Mom will take care of him well.”

Leon slowly opened his eyes.

The ceiling in front of him was familiar, but it wasn’t from his nursery. It was Rosvitha’s.

His brain instantly cleared — oh no.

He tried to sit up, but as soon as he moved, soone pressed him back down on the chest.

His senses gradually returned, and the pressure in his abdon made Leon realize that tonight might be another long night.

“Using eggplant, how despicable of you,” Leon said dully, staring at the ceiling.

“The struggle between dragons and dragon slayers is never ordinary. How can you call it despicable?”

Rosvitha paused before adding, “Besides, I didn’t say I was going to do anything. I just wanted to help you… with your illness.”

“Illness? What illness do I have?” Leon asked, curious now as he looked at himself.

He was taken aback when he finally looked at the person sitting on him. She wore a white mask, revealing only her enchanting eyes that sparkled like the night sky.

Her beautiful and silky hair was neatly tied behind her head, and her tight white uniform accentuated her seductive curves. Between her short skirt and white boots lay the “absolute territory” of her alluring legs.

With one glance, Leon recognized the outfit — after the classroom play, was this dragon queen now trying out nurse play?

But where did she get the nurse uniform from?

No wonder she used the line “The struggle between dragons and dragon slayers is never ordinary” to set the stage for this!

“Rosvitha… Can’t we try a more normal profession?” Leon sighed.

“Mr. Leon, please cooperate with the treatnt,” Rosvitha said firmly.

Leon rolled his eyes in silence and lay back on the pillow. The dragon had taken the initiative, so he couldn’t retaliate imdiately.

He would have to wait for an opportunity when she let her guard down. But she probably anticipated that Leon’s current physical condition was different from before, so she would be more careful.

Leon silently planned his next move, pondering the upcoming strategies.

anwhile, Rosvitha continued to play her role.

“Mr. Leon, according to your dical records, you often experience chest tightness, is that correct?” Rosvitha held up a dical file, looking serious as she asked.

“No, Nurse, I have depression. I often feel like smashing purple clay teapots,” Leon replied.

Smack!

Rosvitha slapped Leon’s head with the dical file and repeated sternly, “Cooperate with the treatnt, Mr. Leon.”

“Um… yes, yes, I have chest tightness,” Leon obediently responded.

“Now, let see your clothes torn open,” Rosvitha commanded.

“Is it appropriate for a nurse to use the word ‘torn’?” Leon questioned.

“Mr. Leon, do you want to say it a third ti?” Rosvitha warned.

Leon reluctantly opened his shirt, revealing his well-built chest and dragon tattoo.

“What’s this tattoo, Mr. Leon?” Rosvitha inquired.

You don’t know what this is? Are you just trying to disgust ?

The infuriating dragon.

“I don’t know, Nurse. Maybe you should check your own chest to see if you have the sa tattoo?” Leon retorted.

“Please refrain from making offensive remarks, Mr. Leon, or I will report you for sexual harassnt of a nurse,” Rosvitha threatened.

“You’re sitting on in a mini skirt, making open my shirt, and then you’re going to accuse of sexual harassnt?!” Leon protested.

The nurse nodded seriously. “Yes.”

Fine, if that’s how you want to play, you’ll pay for it later.

“Since you’re unwilling to say, let carefully examine your body,” Rosvitha said, undeterred.

Opportunity is coming.

Leon beca serious, ready to counterattack at any mont. He watched as Rosvitha approached slowly, slowly taking off her mask, revealing the stunningly delicate face.

However—

Just as Rosvitha leaned in close to Leon’s face, her expression suddenly froze, then quickly retreated, covering her mouth as if suppressing so discomfort.

Leon raised an eyebrow, teasing, “What’s wrong, Miss Nurse? Can’t heal yourself?”

Rosvitha frowned, her discomfort intensifying.

She had to step away from Leon and hurriedly ran into the bathroom, stepping on her boots.

Then ca the sound of running water.

Leon was about to make a few more remarks, but as the words reached his lips, he sensed sothing was amiss.

This reaction from Rosvitha had occurred too many tis these past few days…

Suddenly, Leon abruptly realized,

“It couldn’t be—”
