Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have Any More Children With You Vol. 5 Ch. 44
“At six in the morning, the puppy-shaped alarm clock on the bedside table rang precisely on ti.”
“Beep—Woof! Ti to wake up, Mommy Dragon! Ti to wake up, Mommy Dragon!”
After a mont, a slender, delicate arm erged from beneath the blankets, fumbling to turn off the clock. A silver tail slowly stretched out next, lazily draping itself over the edge of the bed like a soft, relaxed snake.
Five minutes later…
“Ti to wake up, Mommy Dragon! Ti to wake up, Mommy Dragon!”
“Ugh… annoying…”
A muffled, slightly aggrieved murmur ca from beneath the covers. Monts later, an exquisitely beautiful face, still touched by a hint of drowsiness, peeked out.
Silver eyes opened slowly. Reaching for the puppy alarm clock, she pressed it with so irritation.
“You’re disturbing , Mommy Dragon~ You’re disturbing , Mommy Dragon~ Get up quickly~”
This puppy alarm clock had been a gift from Leon two months ago.
Its design wasn’t particularly impressive—just a rather crudely made, tongue-wagging puppy.
But what caught Leon’s interest was its recording feature. By inserting a shadow crystal and setting a ti, the clock would play a recorded ssage every day at the sa hour.
He had even recorded additional ssages:
“Ti for breakfast~ Ti for breakfast~”
“Don’t stay up late~ Don’t stay up late~”
“Miss yet~ Miss yet~”
And the most unforgettable one for Rosvisser, the one she couldn’t go a day without hearing (but hated hearing all the sa):
“Show off your dragon mark for ! Please and thank you!”
For Rosvisser, an alarm clock was completely unnecessary and even a little noisy. For the past ninety years, she had maintained an impeccable daily routine without needing any reminders.
But ever since Leon gave her the clock, she had used it every single day without fail.
The reason?
“Miss yet~ Miss yet~”
Her silver hair was slightly disheveled from a night’s sleep. Leaning against the headboard, she gently pressed the playback button on the puppy clock.
Each press made it repeat in Leon’s voice: “Miss yet?”
After pressing it a few more tis, Rosvisser smiled softly.
“Alright, ti to get up!”
She set the alarm clock down, threw off the blanket, and sprang out of bed with renewed energy.
She slipped off her satin nightgown and dragon-patterned slippers, replacing them with an elegant queenly dress and matching heels. After a quick wash and brush, she braided a small section of her hair into a delicate plait by her temple.
Without needing excessive adornnt, Rosvisser’s natural beauty made her the most radiant presence in the Silver Dragon Sanctuary.
Once she was ready, she opened the bedroom door.
“Good morning, Mom!”
“Morning, Mommy!”
“Good morning, Mama!”
“Mommy, hug !”
“Good morning, my darlings.”
Rosvisser bent down, scooping her youngest daughter into her arms and nuzzling her adorable little face. Then she asked,
“So, how was your first night sleeping with your sisters?”
Muse raised her tiny arms enthusiastically.
“It was great!”
“Big Sis is cool and snuggly!”
“Second Sis is soft and snuggly!”
“Third Sis slls nice and snuggly!”
The queen chuckled and touched noses with her youngest.
“Sounds like you were busy last night, cuddling everyone.”
“Yes, Mommy! Muse wants to sleep with Big Sisters again tonight!”
“Alright, but you have to listen to your sisters and not stay up late.”
“Got it, Mommy.”
Rosvisser set Muse down and said,
“Co on, let’s have breakfast.”
“Okay!”
In the sanctuary’s dining hall, Rosvisser and her daughters enjoyed their breakfast. However, she noticed that each daughter seed to have a different mood this morning.
Noa, usually quiet, appeared even more serious than usual.
Muse, despite normally eating the most, was barely touching her food. Instead, she was sneakily trying to move her fried egg onto Aurora’s plate.
Aurora, on the other hand, was barely able to contain her excitent, practically vibrating with anticipation.
Rosvisser narrowed her eyes. Unlike Leon, who could see through their thoughts with ease, she preferred to ask directly.
“Noa.”
“Yes, Mom?”
“Are you planning to play a ga today? Or practicing magic?”
Noa hesitated for a mont, her eyes darting.
“Uh… we’re playing a ga. Yeah, a ga.”
When she lied, she always included an extra “uh” and tended to repeat part of her response. However, Rosvisser didn’t sense anything particularly suspicious. She nodded.
“Alright, be careful.”
“Got it, Mom.”
“Big Sis, are we going to play that ga you ntioned yesterday?” Muse asked, her gemstone-like eyes sparkling with excitent.
Noa’s brow twitched slightly, and she avoided eye contact.
“Uh, yeah.”
“Yay! I even practiced the song you told to!”
Rosvisser raised an eyebrow.
“What kind of ga requires practicing a new song?”
“Oh, um—breakfast is over!” Noa suddenly exclaid. She jumped off her chair, scooped up Muse, and bolted toward the door.
Aurora and Moon seed to receive so kind of signal because they quickly followed suit.
“We’re done too, Mommy!” they called out in unison before darting out of the room, leaving behind a chaotic clatter of dishes.
“Seriously… why can’t they just explain things properly…” Rosvisser muttered, shaking her head.
After tidying up, Rosvisser began her day’s work. As she reached the sanctuary gates, Anna, the head maid, greeted her with a bow.
“Good morning, Your Majesty.”
“Morning, Anna. Do I have any scheduled outings today?”
“No, Your Majesty. The diplomatic matters you planned for this month have all been addressed, so you won’t need to leave the sanctuary for the ti being.”
“Good. Anything unusual within the sanctuary?”
“Last night, a shadow beast attempted to breach the rear mountain. However, the protective thunder array intercepted it successfully. It has been dealt with.”
“Understood. And the monthly reports?”
“They’ve been compiled and are ready for your review.”
As Anna handed over the reports, Rosvisser couldn’t help but glance toward the empty breakfast table behind her.
“Today feels too peaceful,” she mused aloud. “No tasks, no docunts… It’s almost unsettling.”
Just then, Milan, another attendant, entered the room carrying a letter.
“This morning’s ssenger dragon delivered this, Your Majesty.”
Rosvisser opened the letter, her eyes widening slightly as she read its contents.
“So, that’s what Noa and the others are planning to do…”
