When she saw the ssage, Suzy’s pupils shrank abruptly.

In the span of a single heartbeat, anger surged upward, rushing straight to her head.

But just as quickly, she forced herself to calm down.

The ssage was from her scumbag father, George Kale.

This was precisely the turning point that had pushed her onto the tragic path of becoming a disposable tool in her dream.

In that dream, she had trusted her father, George, and her sister, Wendy, without reservation.

Under their honeyed coaxing, she had signed the property transfer agreent—handing over everything her mother had left her to George Kale for "safekeeping."

An inheritance worth billions.

Enough to ensure Suzy a lifeti—several lifetis—of comfort and security.

Yet she had given it away for nothing.

The reason Wendy had been able to stockpile such an enormous amount of supplies was entirely because of Suzy’s inheritance.

When Suzy thought about what the Kale family had done to her during the apocalypse, her eyes burned red with fury.

They had taken her money, transford the villa into a post-apocalyptic fortress, and hoarded vast amounts of supplies, living in comfort and indulgence every single day.

After the apocalypse, money beca nothing more than worthless paper.

Once Suzy had exhausted all the food she had at ho, she went to them for help—only to be shut out.

They were living in the villa her mother had left to her, yet they wouldn’t even let her through the door.

An entire family, living off her money, enjoying themselves day after day, unwilling to spare her even a single tuna can.

Even later, when Wendy was finally willing to take her along, it was nothing more than an excuse to flaunt her own superiority.

Family? She grunted. What family?

They were enemies.

Suzy ground her teeth in hatred.

Dream or not, but now, she would never sign that damn agreent!

She had already activated the space.

She wanted to see how Wendy would survive this ti—without money and without the space—how she could possibly live as comfortably as she had in the dream.

And the Kale family—could they still afford to live so carefree? She would like to watch them try.

Suzy took a deep breath, slowly steadying her emotions.

Of course, she would return to the Kale house tomorrow.

Because it was closer to her university, Suzy had bought an apartnt near campus and usually lived there.

She only went back to the Kale family ho on weekends or holidays.

So valuable jewelry and important docunts were still kept there.

For the sake of those things, she had to make a trip back—otherwise she’d just be handing them over for free.

Once she had sorted out her thoughts, Suzy adjusted her mood, added a few more lists, and then went to bed.

She slept straight through until noon.

When she woke up, she saw multiple missed calls on her phone.

Aside from George Kale, there were calls from Wendy—and even her stepmother, Fiona Smith.

A trace of mockery flickered in Suzy’s eyes.

So they couldn’t wait anymore.

She had just sat up when George Kale’s call ca in again.

Suzy answered, casually switching to speakerphone. A man’s impatient voice imdiately spilled out of the phone:

"Suzy, why haven’t you co ho yet? Did sothing happen?"

The irritation beneath his words was obvious, though he still tried to sound gentle. It made her nauseous.

On ordinary days, George always maintained the image of a loving father in front of Suzy.

If not for last night’s dream, she might still have been kept in the dark even now.

"I had a nightmare last night and overslept," Suzy replied calmly. "I’ll be back shortly."

George Kale offered a few perfunctory words of concern, then reminded her as if it were an afterthought, "Don’t forget what you promised Dad. Bring the transfer docunts when you co... and the gold pendant your sister wants."

A cold glint flashed through Suzy’s eyes.

Without revealing anything, she answered softly, "Okay."

Satisfied with her response, George hung up without hesitation.

Fiona was sitting across from him. The mont the call ended, she asked anxiously, "What did she say? She’s still coming, right? She’s not backing out, is she? It took so much effort to convince her to transfer the inheritance—if she doesn’t co, everything will be ruined..."

That was an enormous sum of money...

Just thinking about it made Fiona’s chest ache.

George glanced at her sternly. "She’s coming. Says she overslept."

When he spoke about his daughter aloud, a trace of disgust flickered through his eyes.

Sleeping in until noon—so lazy. She didn’t deserve to be in possession of such wealth.

Then he asked, "Where’s Wendy?"

"Wendy caught a cold yesterday," Fiona replied. "She’s still resting in bed."
