Chapter 91: Breaking the Unsaid Rule

"Seris?" Liana asked softly, noticing the veiled girl’s slight pause. "Is everything alright?"

"Yes, Lady Liana," Seris quickly replied, turning her attention back with a soft, polite nod.

"Good. It is quite late, and the streets will be chaotic. Let my guards escort you back," Liana offered with a warm smile, genuinely fond of her new friend.

"Thank you," Seris accepted quietly, walking away with the Silvercrest group.

anwhile, at the grand exit of the Mirravele Auction House.

Matthias, Atlas, and the rest of the Ashvele Clan mbers walked out of the towering double doors with such horrible faces as if they had eaten poop.

They had lost the Epic-Grade formula.

They had been played like fools.

"Atlas..." Matthias ground his teeth so hard a trickle of blood leaked from his gums. "I will kill him. I swear to the Gods, I will tear that Solari bastard’s heart out of his chest."

"Keep your voice down," Atlas barked, his own eyes bloodshot. "It’s all because of your foolishness. Do you want to start a clan war right here in the streets? We return to the estate first. We will—"

"Oh? Going ho so soon?"

An arrogant, grating voice suddenly drifted from the shadows of a nearby marble pillar.

The Ashvele mbers stopped on their tracks.

Their heads snapped toward the sound.

Leaning casually against a pillar, with his arms crossed and a deeply mocking sneer plastered across his face, was the very man they wanted to murder.

Jarek Solari.

Rhain pushed himself off the pillar and slowly strolled toward them, with his hands behind his back.

"What a tragic sight," Rhain chuckled, shaking his head with exaggerated pity. "Look at the mighty Ashvele dogs, walking with their tails tucked firmly between their legs. Are you gonna cry, Matthias?"

"JAREK!" Matthias roared, the veins on his forehead bulging as his Level 3 Spirit Manifestation aura erupted.

"You little piece of sh*t!" Atlas snarled, taking a furious step forward, his fist radiating lethal green essence.

"Co on then, hit !" Rhain laughed without caring about their violent reaction, "Do it! Let everyone in Mirravele City see that the great Ashvele Clan are not re barking dogs, they are biting dogs."

The commotion at the entrance imdiately drew the attention of the massive crowd pouring out of the auction house.

A crowd had already ford at the auction house exit.

Seeing this scene, the onlookers instantly retreated to a safe distance.

Whispers rapidly spread through the onlookers.

"Look, it’s Jarek Solari... He’s actually picking a fight with the Ashvele elders right outside the auction!"

"That fool is far too reckless. He truly thinks he owns Mirravele City."

"He’s just an arrogant, brainless piece of trash relying on his father and his uncle," another cultivator sneered quietly. "If it weren’t for the protection of the Solari Clan’s two Core Formation Realm experts backing him, with his rotten mouth, he would have died a thousand tis over by now!"

Rhain heard every single whisper, but his disguised face only stretched into an even wider, more punchable smirk.

He leaned forward, pouring more venom into his words to push the Ashvele mbers over the edge.

"Matthias, oh Matthias, I have never seen a moron as great as you. Four million crystals for a pile of trash. You practically bought the Solari Clan that Epic-Grade formula yourself," Rhain sneered, "If your Clan Head Brycen knew his n were this pathetic, he’d probably kill himself out of sheer embarrassnt."

"I’LL TEAR YOUR MOUTH OFF!"

Matthias lost his mind entirely.

He was already ashad of his actions, and Rhain’s words acted like salt poured directly into an open, bleeding wound.

His Level 3 Spirit Manifestation aura erupted like a volcano.

Atlas hastily reached out, grabbing Matthias by the shoulder. "Stop! Are you crazy?! If you harm him here, it will trigger an all-out war between the two clans!"

"Get off !" Matthias violently shoved Atlas away.

"I won’t kill this bastard! But I am going to shatter his bones and teach him a lesson he will never forget! Because of him, we lost the Epic-Grade pill formula! If I don’t vent this frustration right now, I won’t have peace in my life."

Without giving Atlas another chance to intervene, Matthias shot forward like a cannonball.

His fist tore through the air, aid directly at Rhain’s face.

Rhain simply stood there, his hands still casually clasped behind his back.

But at the exact Matthias’s fist entered his lethal range, the drunken, arrogant smirk on Rhain’s face vanished, replaced by a chilling indifference.

His right hand shot forward like a striking viper.

Void Fist!

But this ti, it was different.

Dancing beautifully across Rhain’s knuckles was a srizing, subtle blood-red fire.

Bam!

The two fists collided in mid-air.

Matthias expected to hear the satisfying crunch of Jarek’s arm splintering into pieces.

Instead, an expression of horror warped his face.

Rhain’s fist phased straight through his dense as if it didn’t even exist.

The strike landed against his knuckles, and the scorching blood-red fla was directly injected into his body.

"AAAAAHHH!"

Matthias let out a inhuman shriek that chilled the spines of every single onlooker in the street.

The terrifying heat of the Heaven-Grade fla erupted inside him, bypassing his physical defenses to wreak havoc on his insides.

It felt as if his internal organs were being brutally roasted and cooked alive inside a blazing, inescapable furnace.

Smoke literally sizzled from Matthias’s mouth and eyes as his body struggled to escape the unbearable pain.

Before Atlas, the Ashvele clan mbers, or any of the paralyzed onlookers could even process what had just happened—

A streak of crimson light flashed.

The Rare-Grade Crimson Serpent Blade materialized in Rhain’s grip.

Swish—!

A clean, swift arc of red slashed through the air.

Matthias’s agonizing screams were cut short.

A severed head flew high into the night sky, a fountain of blood erupting from the sliced stump of his neck.

Thud.

Matthias’s headless corpse collapsed onto the marble steps.

The sound echoed like a death knell in the silence that had abruptly seized the street.

Every single onlooke watching from the distance had gotten paralyzed.

Their brains simply refused to process the scene unfolding before their eyes.

Jarek Solari had just killed Matthias Ashvele.

The shock wasn’t rely born from the impossible disparity in their cultivation. How could a pampered, arrogant Level 1 Spirit Manifestation trash instantly slaughter a seasoned Level 3 elder?

No. The true horror ran much deeper.

For decades, an unspoken rule had governed Mirravele City.

Core mbers do not kill each other.

The Three Great Clans constantly sched, sabotaged, and extorted one another in the shadows.

But no matter how bitter the conflict, high-ranking bers were never to be publicly slaughtered.

Because the mont a high-ranking ber or direct descendant was murdered, it would inevitably ignite a catastrophic, city-wide war of mutual destruction that no one—not even the Core Formation Realm patriarchs—wished to spark.

Yet, under the watchful eyes of hundreds... Jarek Solari had just casually decapitated Elder Matthias.

It had a hazardous implication.

War!

A bloodbath that would burn the entire city to the ground.

The Solari Clan is officially declaring war on the Ashvele Clan!
