"Immortal Master, spare our lives! We wouldn’t have ssed with you if we’d known who you were—just let us go like a fart, okay?"
The one-eyed man saw the situation turning sour and dropped to his knees, begging for his life.
The other two imdiately followed suit, kowtowing over and over.
"Weren’t you all after a Spirit Treasure? I already brought it out—now you don’t want it?"
Lin Chang’sheng grinned. This guy actually had so sense. If he hadn’t knelt, he’d probably be dead right now.
"Immortal Master, please, we’re not joking with you! We wouldn’t dare! We’re just small fries clowning around—please don’t hold it against us!"
The one-eyed man was full of regret. If he’d known Lin Chang’sheng was a Golden Core expert, even ten lives wouldn’t have been enough for him to try this shit!
"Fine, I won’t hold it against you—just answer a few questions for !"
Lin Chang’sheng put away the Spirit Treasure and spoke up.
"Of course! Not just a few, ask dozens—hundreds if you want!"
The one-eyed man saw hope for survival and started kowtowing with gratitude.
"Are there any boats here heading out to sea, going to the Celestial Ghost Sect or Corpse King Sect?"
Lin Chang’sheng didn’t beat around the bush.
This trip, his goal was those two sects.
He was going to Celestial Ghost Sect for the Myriad Ghosts Pulling Technique, and to Corpse King Sect for the resurrection coffin holding the Eastern Desolate Demon Emperor’s daughter.
When he said that, the three kneeling guys just stared at each other, and no one answered for a long while.
"So, you don’t want to say, or you just don’t know?"
Lin Chang’sheng’s tone cooled, turning almost sinister.
Did these idiots have a death wish or sothing?
"Immortal Master, please don’t be angry! We really don’t know about that. I do know the fishing boats, but as for boats heading to Celestial Ghost Sect—no one dares. The mont you go three hundred miles from shore, sea demons start appearing. Without cultivation, it’s certain death!"
The one-eyed man spilled everything he actually knew.
I an, who the hell would go to the lairs of those Demon Dao maniacs for fun?
That’s basically suicide, isn’t it?
"Since you don’t know, can’t bla , then!"
Saying that, Lin Chang’sheng was about to finish all three off on the spot.
"Immortal Master! I may not know, but the Giant Whale Gang definitely does! They’re the top gang in Triangle City—constantly heading out to hunt sea demons for profit! They’re loaded!"
Next to the one-eyed man, the guy with the knife scar blurted out.
If he didn’t say sothing useful, they were dead at for sure.
"Giant Whale Gang?"
Lin Chang’sheng muttered to himself. "Take there."
As soon as he said that, all three went pale and kowtowed hard. "Immortal Master, please spare us! We really can’t go to the Giant Whale Gang! They’re not in the city—they live in a cave mansion twenty miles north, outside Triangle City. I heard that cave mansion used to belong to a Demon Dao Immortal before he ascended. It has a Grand Array protecting it. Without any Array-Breaking skills, going in is just asking to die!"
"Oh?"
Well, that got Lin Chang’sheng’s attention. Who knew a re gang could live in a cave mansion with an array out front?
Definitely beats living inside the city.
"You don’t need to bring inside—just show the way."
He was worried they’d try to pull so tricks if he dragged them along for too long.
In the end, the three were forced to lead Lin Chang’sheng to the Giant Whale Gang to save their skins.
Turned out, they weren’t lying.
Twenty miles north of Triangle City, there really was a giant mountain range.
The mountains hugged the shoreline, and on the beach lay the giant skeleton of sothing whale-like—probably a sea demon of so level.
"We’re here!"
The one-eyed man pointed nervously at the mountain range just ahead.
One more step felt like walking to their deaths.
None of them dared go further.
With the Giant Whale Gang located, Lin Chang’sheng didn’t make things harder on these three and let them go.
He wasn’t interested in the crap a bunch of Foundation Establishnt cultivators had on them anyway.
If they really had anything good, they wouldn’t have been reduced to robbing loose cultivators out here.
Lin Chang’sheng started walking toward the mountain range step by step.
Soon he reached the foot of the mountain.
At the base, sure enough, was a blood-red stone door.
But the stone door was tightly shut at the mont.
Lin Chang’sheng probed with his Divine Sense, only to find it blocked by an invisible barrier.
Yup, definitely so kind of array here.
Not wanting to barge in blindly, Lin Chang’sheng threw a punch at the crimson stone door.
BOOM—
The stone door didn’t budge an inch under the deafening noise.
Normally, forget a stone door—even the whole mountain would’ve shattered from a punch like that.
This array was definitely no joke.
"You’ve got guts! Which bastard dares to cause trouble at my Giant Whale Gang?"
A voice bellowed from inside the mountain.
The doors opened, and a middle-aged man strode out, bringing a whole group with him.
The man looked around forty or fifty, long brown hair, wearing scale armor made from fish hide—he looked odd as hell.
"I’m Yu Xiaochang. I an no offense—just hoping the Gang Leader can help get to sea, to the Celestial Ghost Sect. Of course, you’ll be well paid in Spirit Stones!"
Lin Chang’sheng cut right to the point, not bothering with pleasantries.
"Heading to the Celestial Ghost Sect? You trying to get yourself killed, kid? That’s way out of your league!"
Ao Chengfeng snapped, figuring this kid was tired of living.
The Celestial Ghost Sect was nothing like the little gangs around here—they had a Middle Stage Nascent Soul expert overseeing things.
They could be wiped out with a snap.
The fact that those guys didn’t ss with them already was a blessing, and this kid wanted to walk right in?
Tosser was courting death, no question.
"I just need a ride—one thousand Spirit Stones as paynt, how about it?"
Lin Chang’sheng said again.
Hearing one thousand Spirit Stones, Ao Chengfeng’s lips curled slightly.
So this brat really did have so nice goods on him.
Probably another so-called genius sent out to ’train’ by his sect—didn’t know how dangerous the world was.
Better to take his stuff for myself than let him die in the Celestial Ghost Sect for nothing.
"Alright then, co on in. We’ll discuss the details."
With that, Ao Chengfeng turned and gestured for Lin Chang’sheng to follow.
Lin Chang’sheng thought the gang boss was actually being cooperative, but the mont he stepped into the cave mansion, everything changed.
The cave mansion and mountain landscape vanished—instead, he was suddenly standing on a boundless ocean.
Lin Chang’sheng quickly activated his Magical Power, suspended in the air.
Down below, huge black shadows swam in the sea—a suffocating sight.
All around, water stretched off into the horizon, with no end in sight, and no way to tell directions.
"So this is the ’Grand Array’ they talked about?"
Lin Chang’sheng thought to himself, not worried at all.
If a normal person entered this array, they’d end up lost and panicking.
Once their Magical Power ran dry, they’d be fish food for the sea demons below.
But Lin Chang’sheng had his own panel to work from—he imdiately started analyzing the array. Since it was an array, there had to be a way to break it.
"You dumb brat! You really don’t know your place. You think the Giant Whale Gang is just waiting for you to waltz in? After you die, I’ll make sure your bones are buried nice and proper! I an, you brought us all these Spirit Stones from a thousand miles away—what an effort! Hahaha—"
Ao Chengfeng’s voice echoed through the Grand Array.
Sounded like he was sure Lin Chang’sheng was dead at.
