Not far away, the two in the cave paused their ga as the earth shook beneath them, confused.

The red-robed elder chuckled and reached out his hand.
The black-armored elder could only admit defeat and tossed his black armor to the red-robed elder.
The red-robed elder took the armor, then strolled over to Lin Chang’sheng.
"Young man, could you help with sothing?"
The red-robed elder’s expression was kindly, nothing like the impatient black-armored elder.
"Please, senior—if I’m able to help, I definitely will!"
Lin Chang’sheng replied.
"Among the Demon Race, we have rules: any retired demon emperor who can’t break through further must spend the rest of their days inside the Spiritual Spring Sacred Land, cut off from clan affairs. I stepped down over six centuries ago, and I have no idea what beca of my Fox Race descendants. After you leave, I hope you can investigate for so I can be at peace."
The red-robed elder told Lin Chang’sheng what was on his mind.
His biggest worry was his grandson.
His grandson was hot-tempered, always wanted to achieve sothing major, and he feared the boy might go astray.
"Alright. After I leave, I’ll find out what I can, and let you know if there’s news!"

The red-robed elder handed Lin Chang’sheng the treasure armor he’d just won from the black-armored elder.
