"Ugh, you guys are so lucky...I wish I had an Arcane Class too," Sighed Iseul, her chin on the table.
She’s a bit more tipsy now, but she’s definitely taking it pretty easy...well, she’s still drinking more than the rest of us, but not as recklessly as she did during the day.
Hm, maybe it’s because she talked about her past?
"Yeah, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t share than notion. Having Magic that’s unique to you, it’s pretty cool," Nodded Jin in agreent, an envious smile on his face.
"I an, you’re kinda unique yourself, you’re literally the only Ranger in the world who can fire arrows made purely of Elental Magic, aren’t you? All other Rangers need physicals arrows or so other kind of projectile to serve as a conduit," I pointed out.
"And I bet your drunken fighting style is unique to you too, Iseul, so there’s that," Added Aria with a smile.
"So, then, you don’t wish you had an Arcane Class?" Iseul asked her.
"Well, I used to. But after I developed Blaze Ignition, I didn’t really feel that way anymore."
"That Skill is pretty incredible, those explosive bursts of flas every ti you hit or get hit are amazing," Remarked Jaden, before adding, "Also, that other Skill you used, the one that tore my arm off, that’s an original Skill too, right? I think you called it Fla Lance?"
"Mhm, but I can only use it with Blaze Ignition active, I can’t use it in my normal state, at least not yet," Aria inford him.
"How exactly did you figure out how to create new Skills? I’ve tried it myself, but it’s really tough, the best results I got were basically just slightly different versions of Spells that already exist," Iseul sighed wistfully.
"I’d say it’s even worse in my case, the Ranger Class is probably the least versatile Class that exists, Rangers are basically one-trick ponies," Remarked Jin with a slight grimace.
Well, he’s not wrong, Rangers really don’t have a lot of options in their arsenals, they’re basically built to specialize in long-range attacks.
"Hm, I’m not really sure what to say, the ideas occurred to , and I worked at it until I figured it out," Responded Aria uncertainly.
"In other words, you’re a prodigy," Surmised Jin wryly.
"Oh, um, I don’t know about th-...wait, this might help! Yeah, so, have you guys ever tried manually channeling your Mana?" Aria asked them.
"Huh? What do you an?" Inquired Iseul curiously.
"Wait, really? You can control the flow of your Mana way better if you focus on manually channeling it through your body. I improved pretty drastically after I mastered my control over my Mana," Chid in Jaden.
"Yeah, sa here. Well, to be fair, we had to flesh out our Magic and Spells from scratch, so we inevitably had to experint and go through way more trial and error than Hunters with established Classes would have to.
But, yeah, once I figured out that I could channel my Mana manually and worked at it, my Spellcasting improved by leaps and bounds," Nodded Aarav thoughtfully.
"So, then, this isn’t common knowledge? Why?" Responded Jaden incredulously.
"That’s simple, it’s because it ain’t practical for most people. From what I’ve seen, you need two things to be able to channel your Mana manually...the first, is to have a whole lot of it, at least a Mana Level of 500,000.
And the second, is to have a knack for it. In other words, only a small minority of Hunters are capable of channeling Mana manually at all," Explained Beatriz, a high-pitched ringing echoing out of her fingertips as she raised her hand.
"Huh, I see...gotta keep that in mind, definitely worth giving it a shot," Mused Iseul, before adding sheepishly, "So, uh...how exactly do you go about doing it?"
"You focus on your solar plexus first, that’s where the flow of Mana starts. From there, it spreads out through your torso in a swirling pattern, before flowing straight through your arms and legs. The flow through the head is extrely complex though, it’s almost impossible to fully control.
But that’s mainly around the brain, channeling Mana into your mouth and eyes are pretty easy. Actually, you guys definitely have channeled Mana manually before, you’d have to in order to focus Mana into your eyes to perceive Auras," I realized thoughtfully.
"Oh, yeah, now that you ntion it, firing Spells out of my mouth is pretty easy. Does that an I’ve been channeling Mana manually without even realizing it?" Responded Iseul with an intrigued look on her face.
"Not quite. When you channel Mana into your eyes to see Auras, you’re actually just focusing the Mana that’s already running through that spot.
To properly channel Mana manually, you have to focus on the entire process from start to finish...how the flow begins in your solar plexus, the way it spreads out, all of it.
You have to take control of it and guide its flow consciously," Iseul inford her.
She’s pretty knowledgeable about this, seems like she’s worked pretty hard at it.
"Mhm, yeah, that sounds pretty spot-on," Nodded Jaden in agreent.
"Huh, I wonder if I’d be able to fire arrows from my mouth and other parts of my body if I can get the hang of channeling Mana manually?" Muttered Jin curiously.
"Heh, like out your butt? That’d make sure no one can sneak up behind you," Smirked Aarav, letting out a chuckle.
"...no. I’m not even going to try to do that."
"By the way, Aarav, I think you could really improve the force of your attacks. You’ve got a lot of versatility, but your attacks are just a bit lacking in penetrative power," Remarked Jaden, as he glanced at him.
"Not exactly, I think it’s more than your attacks lose montum too fast. You launch them with a fair bit of force, but they run out of steam pretty quick. They’re still plenty dangerous at close- and mid-range, but against stronger threats, they’re not going to be all that effective at long-range," I added objectively.
