Woah, for real? That’s aweso!
"You catch that?" I asked Aria, who had a bemused look on her face.
"Yeah, I heard. Wasn’t expecting this turn of events, but I’m definitely not complaining," She replied wryly, as the others gathered around us.
"That was amazing, Ariella, easily the most one-sided battle in our favor against the Sentinels!" Exclaid Cleo excitedly, a bright gleam in her eyes.
"As far as Power Level goes, it didn’t look like your Aura spiked that much, the Sentinel’s Aura was still slightly stronger, but I could barely keep up with your speed," Added Jaden in fascination.
"Well, because I’m constantly using bursts of heat to boost my speed while at my full power," She inford him.
"And how were you able to shoot out flas? That shouldn’t be possible for a Combatant," Chid in Aarav.
"Yeah, that is usually the case, but when I use Blaze Ignition: Supernova, I have complete and absolute control over my flas," She explained with a smile.
"The shimr around you made it extra hard to follow your movents, it’s like you were leaving a trail of mirage-like afterimages with every move," Spoke up Ciel, an intrigued look on her face.
"Mhm, the heat I generate is pretty intense, it was a bit hard to move freely because the sand below my feet kept lting."
As the others continued to question Aria about her newly mastered power boost, the Apostles gathered around the newest addition to their ranks.
"," Smiled Superbia in a friendly tone.
"," Avaritia nodded, before glancing at .
"Yup, play nice with the others. And, I can assure you of this...if you help us conquer this Dungeon and win this war, I’ll do what I can to grant your desire of experiencing everything this world has to offer," I replied with a smile.
"."
"?" Luxuria asked .
Huh?
"Hey," Interjected Aria with a frown.
"Yeah, that’s a bit much," I added with a wry smile.
"!"
"Wow," Blurted out Cleo in bemusent.
"Ugh, I’m not particularly thrilled about it, but I suppose it’s harmless enough," Muttered Aria hesitantly, Luxuria perking up in response.
"I don’t-...alright, fine, I’ll okay it for now," I relented reluctantly.
"!"
Hm. Yeah, I’m already starting to regret this.
"Anyway, moving on from that...looks like we’re in for another floor with tough terrain," I remarked as I glanced around.
It’s a swamp terrain, and much worse than the one a couple of floors below. The toxicity doesn’t look as intense, but there’s a lot more water, with murky ponds and streams scattered all around us.
The ground with slick and muddy, and there was an unpleasant earthy stench in the air, perating the space.
"Yeah, this isn’t great," Nodded Jaden with a grimace.
"Hey, Avaritia, any idea what species of Monsters are up here?" I asked her.
"...," She mused, sniffing around before adding, "."
dusa, huh? I don’t know what era Vaszel lived in when he was a human, but evidently, he was born after whenever the story of dusa was written.
A fitting na for a Monster evolved from a Basilisk, this Sentinel likely possesses a petrifying ability. Probably poison too.
"Then, we’re probably looking at Hypnoserpents and Basilisks on this floor," Responded Aarav warily.
"Hm...would you be able to lead us straight to this dusa, Avaritia?" I inquired hopefully.
"," She nodded affirmatively.
"Aweso, that should save us a good amount of ti. Focus on tracking her scent and lead the way. We’ll cover you," I replied, before adding as I addressed the other Apostles, "As for you guys, let’s shift back to our previous strategy, form a ring around the party and cut down any Monsters we co across along the way."
We should be able to progress a lot faster now, especially considering that this floor should be smaller than the previous one.
This is the fifth floor of the Final Dungeon, we’ve conquered half the floors. Three more Sentinels to go, and then, we’ll reach the Demon Lord...
"!"
"," Mused Superbia prudently.
"."
"," Added Ira confidently.
"!" Grinned Luxuria cheerfully.
Yeah, definitely regretting it.
