I let out a sigh as I stared up at the ceiling, stretching my arms up lazily. I feel so...lethargic. I’m really not sure what to do with myself anymore.

When I reincarnated in this era, I was determined to wipe out the Monsters and avenge the deaths of my family in my previous life...not to ntion my own death, of course.

And now, that goal has been realized, the Monsters are gone. Honestly, I didn’t think it’d happen this soon, it really hasn’t been that long since my reincarnation.

I figured I’d have to spend at least a few decades fighting before I even got close...but it’s only taken a few years.

Well, to be fair, my contribution wasn’t the most significant, and I do wish that I’d been able to do more in the battle against the Demon Lord.

Still, I’m not too hung up on it. The fact remains that he was defeated, and even if I wasn’t a key player in the final battle, I did still play a role and make sothing of a contribution in his ultimate defeat.

But...what now?

I an, I don’t plan on quitting being a Hunter, but there’s definitely going to be a hell of a lot less work than before, at least for the foreseeable future.

I guess...I could just follow Kai’s lead and continue lazing about. I have plenty of free ti now, and more money than I know what to do with, so I can indulge in my hobbies to my heart’s content.

Yeah, watch so movies, play so gas, eat a ton of junk food, get drunk and high...all of that sounds pretty good. But I...I just don’t feel like it.

After I was discharged from the hospital, I’ve been spending most of my ti doomscrolling for hours on end. Not exactly productive.

I suppose I don’t really need to be productive, but I should probably entertain myself with more than just endless brainrot.

Maybe things would be easier if I had a boyfriend...but I don’t have any prior romantic experience.

The Monsters showed up around my mid-teens in my previous life, and between that and my social anxiety, romance was the furthest thing from my mind.

It’s not like I’m not interested in romance, but I don’t even know where to start. I don’t have anyone that I’m interested in in that way, in the first place...maybe I should give dating apps a try?

But, again, I just don’t feel like it.

"," I chanted as I sat up, taking out a beer before opening and expanding the display of my I-Watch.

I accessed the archive of dia from my old era, scrolling through a bunch of movie options as I cracked open the beer, taking a sip before settling on a cody and playing it.

Hopefully, I get hooked at so point. It’s a movie I’ve already seen before and enjoyed, but I haven’t watched it in this life, so I don’t rember much.

I then took out a large bag of chips, opening it before tossing a chip into my mouth, a crunch echoing out as I chomped down on it and savored the flavor.

Mm, not bad...they’re steak-flavored chips, and they don’t really taste like steak, but they’re pretty good, nice and savory. Goes well with the beer.

Yeah...I guess this is fine.

Setting aside how important my contribution was, I did still risk my life to save the world. So, it’s fine if I don’t spend my ti productively.

I have all the ti in the world, considering my lifespan is estimated to be around seven hundred years now.

So, I don’t need to be in any rush to figure out what I need to do next, I’ve got nothing but ti on my hands. I bet I’ll figure sothing out eventually, so for now, I’ll just continue taking it easy.

I wonder how the others are doing?

Kai and Ariella did invite to drop by the Guild a couple of hours ago, around midday, but I’d only just woken up and was feeling lazy, so I turned them down.

But maybe that was for the best, I’d just be all awkward anyway.

I hope Ciel is doing alright. Out of the five of us who survived the Final Dungeon, she had it the worst out of any of us, having lost Rex. But she’s strong, so I bet she’ll bounce back before too long.

As for Jaden...he’s probably just chilling. He did say that he was feeling burnt out too, so I doubt he’s training or anything like that. Oh, he must also be working on his rehab to get used to his prosthetic legs, hope he’s making good progress with that.

I took a deep swig of my beer, letting out a sigh as slumped back against the headboard of my bed, relaxing as I absent-mindedly watched the movie, not really paying attention to it.

Yeah, this is fine.

After getting clawed, bashed, blasted, and to cap it all off, petrified, in the Final Dungeon, I need so down ti.

Ti to just relax, without needing to worry about being put through a crazy amount of pain at the hands of absurdly powerful, otherworldly beings.

Sure, I can regenerate, but getting injured, even for a few seconds, still hurts like hell.

As I polished off the beer, I took out a joint from my Item Box, along with an ashtray, before forming a small fla over my index finger to light it up.

I let out a content sigh as I took a deep puff and exhaled slowly, the smoke wafting up and dispersing by the ceiling.

I picked up a handful of chips and shoveled them into my mouth, crunching them to bits with a slight hum, before taking another puff as I swallowed.

Hm?

Oh, I got an email, it’s from the HUC. Let’s see, what’s this ab-...?

I let out a dismayed groan as I opened the email...right, the press conference, I totally forgot about that.

It’s set for tomorrow...I really don’t wanna go, it sounds like a pain. I should try and figure out a way to get out of it...
