"Honestly, I’m still a bit conflicted over the fact that my son has beco so nonchalant about killing, I’m certainly not thrilled about it, but...I suppose I’ll just have to move past it," Mom sighed wistfully.
"Yeah, probably for the best. I’m not going to change at this point, that line has been well and truly crossed," I replied with a wry smile.
"Right, guess there’s no undoing the past. Now, then, let’s get down to business, shall we?" She suggested, as she glanced at Zelmira, who nodded in response.
A few days had passed, and now, we were gearing up to make our move. If all goes according to plan, we’ll be back ho before too much longer.
"The plan is quite simple. A week before we make our move, I’ll activate this Ritual Scroll. Doing so will send a signal to my allies, and they’ll carry out the first phase of the plan. I activated this scroll five days ago now, and I’ve received return signals from my allies, so it seems likely that things are going well on their end.
Specifically, they’re to run wild in the Capital, draw as many of the Knights’ forces there. But that’s not all, we have a number of mbers of our group scattered throughout the rest of the nation, they’ll be causing chaos too. The entire nation being thrown into mayhem should keep the King in the Capital," Stated Zelmira confidently.
"Perhaps, but there is the possibility that the King has a shelter in so remote location that you don’t know about," Pointed out Kritak.
"Yeah, I can’t imagine that a guy that self-centered doesn’t have a back-up plan or two," Added Jaden.
"Possibly, but highly unlikely. We’ve seen no evidence of that. Besides, the shelter hidden under the castle is highly secure, he has absolute confidence in it. If he feels he’s in danger, that’s where he’s most likely to go. And since he doesn’t know that I’m a part of the resistance, let alone leading it, he shouldn’t have any concerns about anyone else being aware of that shelter," Zelmira inford him.
"And there’s no possibility that he’s already left the Capital?" Chid in Reritea.
"No, there isn’t. Revolt has a barrier set up around the Capital, it detects the use of teleportation. And based on the signals I’ve been receiving from my comrades, no unusual teleports have been detected. Now, then...when we head to Lynocyes and get close to the Capital, I’ll activate this Ritual Scroll," Remarked Zelmira, holding up a scroll and continuing, "It’ll teleport us into Revolt’s base. There, we’ll get the Ritual that’ll take us to the hidden shelter in the castle. Two or three of us should be enough for that, while the rest of us eliminate the core of the Knights’ forces."
"Yes, that sounds like a reasonable plan. So, then, the question is, who’ll target the King, and who will fight the Knights?" Responded mom.
"I know it’s selfish, but...I’d like to be a part of the group that goes after the King. Maybe it doesn’t really matter, but...as he is my father, I feel I have a responsibility to see this through, I have to be there when he ets his end. I’d also like for you to be there, Kai. Since you’re the strongest one here, and the King is the most crucial of our targets for elimination, your presence will give us the highest chance of success," Remarked Zelmira, as she glanced at .
"Sure, no objections here. I do have a bone to pick with that bastard, seeing how he tried to enslave us and all," I huffed dryly.
"In that case, I’ll co with you too. I am the Demon Lord, after all, so it’s fitting that I be there to face the leader of my enemies," Chid in mom.
"Alright, then it’s settled. There are eleven of us here, the remaining eight can form four pairs and target the Knights. I would have like to make our move with an entire army, but larger numbers ans a proportionately higher risk of being noticed before we make our move," Zelmira sighed wistfully.
"Regarding that, I have a thought. We’ll coordinate our forces...right as we make our move, I’ll concentrate a significant portion of our forces to the border. That could help serve as an added distraction," Suggested mom thoughtfully.
"Yeah, they’ll think that the Demons are making a big move against them, that should keep reinforcents away from the Capital," Nodded Jaden in agreent.
"Yes, but regardless, my father won’t allow the strongest Knights to leave the Capital, he’ll prioritize his own safety above all else."
"Perfect, that’s exactly what we want. Our main targets are the King and the biggest threats among the forces of the Knight Order, after all," Spoke up Reritea.
"Will the civilians be evacuated after Revolt runs amok? I’d like to let loose, so I don’t want the possibility of civilians getting caught up in my blasts," Frowned Ciel warily.
"Don’t worry, there are several underground shelters scattered throughout the city. By the ti we make our move, all the civilians should be safe," Zelmira inford her with a smile.
"That’s good. Regardless of whether this turns out to be easy or difficult, it’s bound to be intense. It’ll be hard to fight if we have to worry about avoiding civilians," Aria nodded in agreent.
"Good, this makes it simple. We just have to massacre everyone we co across, right?" Surmised Zevek.
"Er, well, no...please don’t attack anyone from Revolt. Only targets Knights and any Nobles you might co across. I’ll write out a description of the Knights’ uniform after this eting, and all Nobles dress in lavish, luxurious clothes and are often adorned with jewelry and other such accessories," Zelmira inford him.
"I’d like to second that request, don’t attack any innocent people or those fighting on the sa side as us, Zevek," Mom warned him with a frown.
"Very well, I understand, my Lord."
