The buildings weren’t made of so gray-black material, but rather appeared charred and smoke-stained, with clear signs of fire damage along the collapsed structures.
Beneath various collapsed buildings were buried dark skeletons.
Skeletons lay on the roadside clothed in tattered rags, devoid of any armor and missing several body parts.
Parts like hands or feet were scattered throughout the city.
All of this indicated that the city had ultimately fallen, ravaged by enemy forces—burned, plundered, and left in ruins.
As Kane and his team approached, these skeletons did not rise; they lay quietly, seemingly untouched by the Undead Energy.
The power of the ordinary people’s souls was weak, barely noticeable after death. Perhaps that’s why the dungeon neither wished to nor bothered to invest power in reviving them.

Walking through the city streets, Kane’s Eagle Eye vision was significantly limited, the nurous obstructions hindering the range of his Magic Vision.
Besides distant sounds, the street where Kane and his team were remained relatively quiet.
A clatter of bones echoed from a nearby street corner, followed by the clang of loose armor.
Kane, eyes wide open with his Eagle Eye, looked toward the street corner from where the sound ca. A strong magic reaction gradually appeared within his Magic Vision range.
"Enemies approaching, ready yourselves."
As Kane’s words fell, the magic reaction at the street corner revealed its true form.
It was a group of Skeleton Soldiers clad in fine armor. Judging by their weapons, these skeletons were once an elite squad.
They also discovered Kane’s group, their Soul Fires fixating directly upon them.
A Skeleton Soldier resembling a captain in the squad raised his Long Spear and shouted at Kane’s group, "Heroic Blade Legion, defend our city, destroy the invaders."
Then, leading his subordinates, he charged at Kane’s team.
Nobody expected this squad of Skeleton Soldiers to have a captain with so intelligence, repeating behaviors from his lifeti, which was quite rare.
This indicates that this level of the dungeon has made so improvents compared to the upper three levels.
Longbei raised his Shield high, activated Iron Wall Shield Defense, and barreled forward.
Kreya transford into a pale Undead Knight, closely following behind.
Kane advised Lilu to rest for a while on Cotton Candy and gave her a small gun to shoot within a two-ter radius of himself.

Lonbei taunted the Skeleton Soldiers, continuously banging on his shield, while Kreya swung her Golden Light Blade at their rear, reaping them rcilessly.
The Light Blade sliced through their pristine armor, splitting their bones in half.
Lonbei’s Giant Hamr also smashed through them, one by one.
Their Holy Light Attribute weapons cut through the Skeleton Soldiers like a hot knife through butter.
The 10-mber squad of Skeleton Soldiers was completely wiped out within minutes under Kane and his team’s onslaught.
The only Skeleton Captain remaining dragged his upper half, muttering, "Defend... ho..."
A golden Light Blade plunged into his skull, extinguishing his Soul Fire.
"Rest in peace... knight."
As the skeletons turned to dust, Kane and his team began gathering the loot from the ground.
They found three minor materials and a rather fine Helt.
After collecting the spoils, the group continued along the city streets.
They had no map of the city, so they proceeded along the streets randomly. With Yoyo’s presence, they wouldn’t be taking any detours.
The fewer collapsed buildings they saw, the deeper they ventured into the city.
Well-preserved structures stood around them.
These buildings had an odd aesthetic, quite twisted and bizarre, inducing visual discomfort.
So building entrances occasionally flickered with blue flas in their torches.
"Whoosh!"
Suddenly, Kane shot a bullet imbued with Holy Light at a window of a nearby two-story building.
"Aaaah!"
A sharp, female wail ca, and a faint blue smoke ford a screaming face that vanished into the sky.
Kane’s Eagle Eye hadn’t detected this ghost, implying so hidden detection abilities.
But his Martial Intuition sensed sothing amiss, prompting him to shoot instinctively in the direction of perceived danger.
"We’ll have to be even more cautious. Ghost-type monsters are starting to appear, and they seem to be able to hide their magic reactions."
Kane warned his teammates.
Not far ahead, Kreya suddenly slashed beside her.
An erging ghost with hands extended in a grasping motion towards Kreya was sliced away, screaming as it turned to a wisp of blue smoke.
"These ghosts seem to possess quite an impressive Invisibility Skill."
izike’s Magic Palm appeared, scattering a bottle of Visibility Dust into the air, then he turned to Lilu and said, "Wind, encircle."
After spending so much ti together, Lilu had grown accustod to izike’s silence and his habit of speaking only in keywords.
She waved her Magic Wand, and a light breeze picked up the Visibility Dust, swirling around them.
The effect was obvious. As Kane and his team walked down the street, every so often, a ghost showed itself due to the Visibility Dust, swiftly cut down by those closest.
Everyone’s weapons were laced with Holy Light Potion, deadly poison for these physical-resistant ghost monsters.
Though their course seed aimless, they were actually heading towards the continuous sounds in the distance.
As they drew closer to the source of noise, the sound of battle beca more distinct.
It seed like the team of explorers ahead of them was engaged in a fierce fight.
When they were just one street away from the battleground, they heard the explorers’ shouts, and Lilu suddenly beca excited.
"It’s Philis, I hear Philis’s voice."
