The night falls, and the night sky is pitch black.
Tonight, apart from the half-red crescent moon, no stars twinkle in the sky.
The intermingled moonlight of white and red spreads across the land.

A dense crowd of Skin-Stripping Monsters, mixed with so beasts with ulcerated skin, jostled each other.
A slender red whip swung across, and a Skin-Stripping Monster was instantly blasted into a cloud of blood mist.
Looking towards the holder of the whip, it’s a Thorn Demon, completely blood-red, covered in spikes.
He retracted the red whip and shouted, cursing, "What are you dawdling for? Hurry up and advance! Such a bunch of inferior trash."
Not satisfied, he kicked another Skin-Stripping Monster nearby, sending it flying.
After completing this series of actions, his mood seed sowhat pleased, and he walked towards the Demon Legion behind him.
These demons were stationed at the very rear of the legion.
Many familiar and unfamiliar demons gathered here.
A pitch-black floating platform, like pure black stone blocks pieced together, slowly hovered above them.
A wide throne made of tal was constructed on the platform, on which sat a tall demon.
He is the Commander of this group of demons.
As he waved his hand, the entire vast Demon Army within sight split into four groups and spread out.
The largest group of the Demon Legion moved straight forward under the Commander’s orders, heading towards the Black Stone Barrier.

The formidable stone gate of the barrier was completely closed, further barricaded behind by countless rubble and broken wood piled into a small mountain.
Outside the towering, solid walls are dense pitfall traps, uncovered so blatantly without concern about being discovered.
Countless soldiers, clad in armor, tightly gripped their weapons, solemnly vigilant atop the walls.
All defensive siege equipnt had long been placed on the walls, while afar, over a dozen catapults, their launchers filled with various massive stones, could be seen.
Many soldiers waited below the walls, ready to swap with their comrades above.
The road leading to the fortress’s rear gate had been cleared, the rear gate widely opened.
Except for the soldiers, the entire fortress held no others, leaving not even a single piece of transportable supplies.
Sakrem stood atop the wall.
Beside him were Kane and Saintess Finaris.
Kane’s eagle-like eyes always on the horizon, clearly seeing the Skin-Stripping Monsters running ahead with the rolling dust illuminated by the moonlight.
"They’re coming."
Upon hearing Kane’s words, Sakrem imdiately raised his right hand.
"Prepare to engage!"
His deafening voice echoed throughout the fortress, and with this command, the defending soldiers in the fortress began to move like gears.
The machinery of war started operating.
And information from his teammates ca through Kane’s Ruby Lapel Pin; all fortresses had begun to engage.
Soon, the force of the Demon Legion was visible to the naked eye.
The Skin-Stripping Monsters in front showed no sign of stopping, charging madly towards the fortress, seemingly intent on crashing into the walls.
Kane looked at the rear of the legion, hundreds of various demons driving the Skin-Stripping Monsters ahead, urging them not to stop.
He found a good spot and began assembling his weapon.
As Skin-Stripping Monsters charged into the range of the siege machines.
"Fire"
Upon the command from a nearby officer, dozens of imnse Crossbow Arrows, along with a barrage of massive stones, were launched towards the Demon Legion’s formation.
Those Skin-Stripping Monsters were struck and toppled, so with bad luck being shattered or crushed into at paste.
Yet the grim fate of their companions didn’t waver these Skin-Stripping Monsters.
The pervasive scent of blood rely heightened their nerves, inciting them to assault the fortress even more relentlessly.
"Fire"
With another command, countless archers unleashed their arrows.
The Skin-Stripping Monsters charging at the forefront were imdiately nailed to the ground by a dense shower of arrows.
So Skin-Stripping Monsters, their actions unhindered, continued moving despite several arrows pierced through their bodies.
These monsters finally rushed into the trap area in front of the fortress.
Faced with such obvious traps, they ignored them entirely, their actions unpaused in the slightest.
The Skin-Stripping Monsters in the front crashed into sharp stakes or fell into large pits directly.
These Skin-Stripping Monsters used their flesh to fill all the traps and pits, paving the way for the creatures behind them.
Enduring wave after wave of attacks, these creatures finally reached the walls below.
They extended sharp Hooked Claws onto the black stone walls, climbing quickly upwards.
The walls were densely packed with soldiers, wielding Great Shields, extending Long Spears to continually stab downward.
Boiling hot oil also poured down relentlessly.
The scent of blood and burning flesh perated the entire sky.
Kane stood atop the wall, not attacking yet, waiting for the demons in the rear to enter his attack range.
However, the demons did not et his expectations. They suddenly stopped.
A demon, its form unseen, wrapped in thin Black Mist with fluttering bat wings, appeared in Kane’s line of sight.
This was the demon summoned from the ritual earlier.
It hovered in mid-air, seemingly chanting sothing.
Then, five blood-red Teleportation Gates materialized at the rear of the Demon Legion.
A colossal beast, over a dozen ters tall, erged from the Teleportation Gate.
The skin of the giant beast appeared encased in molten rock, radiating intense heat, with several massive horns protruding from its rhinoceros-like head.
This creature, by its form alone, was clearly a siege beast.
Under the demon’s command, five siege beasts charged at the walls with heavy footsteps.
All Skin-Stripping Monsters obstructing their path were crushed underfoot.
"Stop these five beasts!"
Sakrem’s voice resonated throughout the entire fortress.
If these five beasts reached the fortress, the walls would be instantly demolished.
The plan to delay would fail, as defending with the fortress was supposed to hold out for an extended period.
Then Sakrem drew the Longsword from his waist and swung hard in the direction of one beast.
As the Longsword swung down, a pale blue Light Blade flew forth.
A beast was directly slashed on its head by this attack, a massive crack appeared on its face.
The agonized creature ran amok, falling off its charge path, wildly crashing around.
The surrounding Skin-Stripping Monsters had no ti to evade.
