Bang!

The deafening explosion drew the attention of all creatures on the battlefield.

The sound of the explosion was novel to all creatures in this Dungeon; for every creature with hearing, it was impossible not to be drawn to such an explosive sound when heard for the first ti.

As the explosion sounded.

The blinding light from the explosion made everyone involuntarily squint their eyes.

So quick-witted soldiers seized the opportunity to slash their enemies, the Skin-Stripping Monsters, to death.

Of course, only humans with flexible thinking could grasp such opportunities; for the low-intelligence Skin-Stripping Monsters, such maneuvers truly challenged them.

The dozen or so Demons within the explosion’s range also perished in the intense energy, their mangled bodies turning into ashes scattered on the ground.

The Demon Commander on the black floating platform did not chase after Kane, who vanished from the scene.

He could clearly tell that Kane’s condition at the ti was unsustainable.

However, Kane was indeed troubleso at the ti, yet the Commander was a rational Demon, a high-level Demon.

Belonging to the Magic Professions renowned for their intelligence.

Also, it was daylight now, and the crescent moon could not affect him.

After weighing the options, there was no need to pursue. It was too tiring and pointless.

He walked leisurely to the throne beside the floating platform, transforming from the previously fierce, tall Demon into the shape of an ordinary human male as he moved.

Turning, he lifted his cloak, sat on the throne, and lazily leaned against the hard backrest.

The arm dangling beside the throne gently stroked the heads of the three-headed hound that sohow ended up next to the seat.

As for his subordinates, currently attacking the human battalion, and the nurous Skin-Stripping Monster cannon fodder.

They were rely residue.

He had already discerned the humans’ purpose: to delay them, buying ti for those weak ants in the region.

Killing these humans here had no aning whatsoever.

Having seen through the humans’ actions, there was nothing intriguing anymore.

The timing was not yet ripe, and today’s objective had been achieved; any more gains were aningless.

Now, he could enjoy this feast of slaughter.

Seizing the daylight, before the crescent moon appeared.

Kane, having returned to his squad, remained vigilant against the Demon Commander on the floating platform.

Seeing him return to the throne, uninterested in fighting, Kane felt a little puzzled.

He seed entirely disinterested in pursuing Kane and the defeated humans.

This didn’t align with their ferocious pursuit and slaughter last night.

Shaking his head, Kane pushed these thoughts aside.

The Demon Commander not entering the fray personally couldn’t be a bad thing.

With Kane joining the frontline against these monsters, the humans faced no pressure whatsoever.

The soldiers thus assembled into formations, coordinating and dividing tasks to systematically slay the attacking Skin-Stripping Monsters.

Aside from the demons that had just charged forward, no more demons attacked Kane and his group.

The demons restrained their instincts, gathering beneath the commander’s floating platform, watching the fighting with a sort of amused gaze.

Both sides remained in a stalemate, using Skin-Stripping Monster cannon fodder as pawns to maneuver back and forth.

The sun had fully risen from the horizon.

The first ray of morning sunlight shone onto the battlefield.

Their mission was complete; a few soldiers behind the battalion rode warhorses, rushing from the first line of defense toward them.

Behind these soldiers, billowing dust and the sound of galloping horses could be seen and heard.

The sound of hooves indicated that the coming units were not small in number.

These soldiers were here to assist them.

As these soldiers approached, the Demon Commander no longer stayed in place, waved his hand, and controlled his Black Stone floating platform to drift away.

With the commander’s departure, the demons controlled the remaining Skin-Stripping Monsters to follow.

Watching the demons leave.

All the soldiers couldn’t help but cheer; it was the joy of surviving after a disaster, grateful for life.

Regarding this scene, neither Sakrem nor other captains or commanders disturbed it.

Soldiers from the distant reinforcents also stayed in place, quietly watching the unfolding scene.

They could see how their comrades had resisted the demons with their might.

Kane stood at the forefront of the squad, watching the departing demons.

Kreya slowly approached him and patted his shoulder.

"What’s the matter? Is there still sothing to see? Are you afraid they’ll suddenly co to attack?"

To Kreya’s question, Kane shook his head lightly.

Slightly squinting, he pointed with his finger at the demons that had already gone far away.

"Do you feel any difference in these demons during the dayti?" His tone was both questioning and sowhat certain.

Regarding Kane’s question, Kreya gave a straightforward answer: "They’ve beco less reckless, warlike, and bloodthirsty than at night."

"What do you think is influencing them, causing such a change between night and day?"

"The moon."

Hearing the voice coming from behind, Kane and Kreya turned to look.

It was izike who had co to answer Kane’s recent query.

The moon was indeed the most obvious marker, but Kane and Kreya had no evidence to substantiate their speculations, relying purely on conjecture.

However, since izike said so, he must have conducted careful research.

Over this ti, izike had been studying the demons to formulate Potions against them, and perhaps through this, he had uncovered so interesting findings.

"Did you discover sothing?"

Kane asked curiously.

izike didn’t elaborate, and instead, he directly retrieved a Potion from the quick-access tool space at his waist.

The Potion contained a transparent liquid with threads of pale blue and red swirling inside.

Kane took the Potion from izike’s hand, surprisingly it was identifiable.

[Desire of the Dark Moon]

[Consumable]

[Color: Copper]

[Attributes:]

[Slightly increases all attributes]

[Slightly increases physical damage]

[Description: Formulated by harnessing the power of the nightti moon from a certain world, it enhances all attributes while amplifying desires, with negative desires being the most uncontrollable.]

The description was crucial; the moon must be the half-red crescent seen in the Dungeon during the night.

Demons are coincidentally chaotic, possess extre desires, all being various negative desires.

Simultaneously strengthened in power during the night, they also lose their sanity.

From the Demon Commander’s actions, it seems they cannot resist this power.

They gained an informative piece, though its practical use was uncertain.

Returning the Potion to izike, Kane rejoined the squad to retreat toward the final line of defense at the rear.
