At this mont, in the enormous forest.
Kane and the others were hiding under a giant leaf.
Before them was a patch of grass taller than they were.
Kane carefully parted a section of the grass and looked into the distance.
Kreya also curiously peeked over from above.
In their line of sight was a giant boar rooting around under a tree, seemingly searching for sothing.
This boar was the first creature they encountered after entering the forest, so they needed to observe it closely for a while, especially since the boar was unusually large.
The boar looked to be about seven or eight ters long, and its height was around four or five ters, with enormous tusks over a ter long on either side of its mouth.
It seed that not only the plants and trees in this forest were unnaturally large, but even the animals were enlarged.
Kane turned his head and looked at his teammates.
The others also exchanged glances with Kane and finally nodded.
Kane tilted his head slightly outward, signaling everyone to get ready, then rushed forward by himself.
The commotion of Kane rushing out imdiately startled the boar, which swiftly turned around with an agility that didn’t match its size.
It saw Kane and the others, snorted loudly, dug its left hoof into the ground in anger, and charged toward them.
Seeing the boar not retreating but instead charging toward him, Kane was all smiles.
He sped up to collide with the boar, his fist gradually clenching, with dense steel slowly extending outward from his arm.
Just as he was about to collide with the boar, Kane swung his fist heavily, and a giant iron fist punched the boar’s face, instantly breaking one of its long tusks and knocking its head sideways to the ground.
The enormous weight crashed to the ground, sending dust flying everywhere.
When the dust settled, the boar was on the ground, blood streaming from its mouth and nose, twitching slightly, clearly no longer capable of fighting.
Kreya and the others then surrounded it. Initially, they planned to encircle the boar to prevent it from escaping, but unexpectedly it saw Kane’s smaller stature and charged head-on instead.
Kane and the others began circling the boar, inspecting its flesh and hide, clicking their tongues in amazent.
"This boar seems to be just an ordinary beast, just unnaturally large in size, with nothing special about it otherwise." Longbei concluded after a long observation.
Kreya, on the other hand, drew her weapon and cut open one of the boar’s hind legs to check the blood and at quality inside.
Then she looked at Kane and the others and said, "The at is just regular pork, only of a slightly better quality, but not quite at the level of magic ingredients."
Upon hearing this, Kane and the others were visibly a bit disappointed.
With such a large boar, if its whole body were composed of magic ingredients, that would be amazing, suitable for a grand feast of pure magic pork to eat to one’s heart’s content.
Alas, what a pity.
But at this mont, Kreya was still closely examining the boar’s neck area.
"What’s wrong, Kreya?" Kane asked, noting Kreya’s strange behavior.
Upon hearing Kane’s query, Kreya squatted on the boar, pointing to the area in front of her, saying, "This spot feels different from other areas."
Hearing her words, Kreya rushed over, bent down, examined the area Kreya indicated, touched it, and then drew a small knife to cut it open.
The mont the boar’s skin was cut open, a clear smile appeared on Kreya’s face.
"This area’s at is a magic ingredient and very high-grade."
Upon hearing this, Kane and the others bead with smiles, their discontentnt cast aside. Although the boar wasn’t entirely composed of magic ingredients, its neck area contained a substantial amount.
Kreya then ticulously examined the entire area, not missing a single bit, striving to cut away the entire portion of magic-grade at without any wastage.
Under Kreya’s skillful blade and sharp weapon, the boar didn’t last long before being completely dismbered, with its at ticulously categorized and stored in Kreya’s food-type space equipnt. Even with Kreya’s spacious equipnt, it was partially filled after storing the entire boar’s at.
One could foresee that Kane and the others would not lack for high-quality at in the foreseeable future.
However, the bloody scent of dismbering the boar’s carcass inevitably spread throughout the forest.
Moreover, the wild boar was enormous, and the blood it spilled almost ford a small pond. The intense sll of blood made Kane and the others next to it frown.
"Alright, let’s hurry and leave. Who knows how many beasts this sll will attract. Though their power might not be strong, they sure are annoying."
With that, Kane led Kreya and the others to quickly leave the scene.
The reason they were reluctant to kill more beasts was because they couldn’t necessarily dismantle all the beasts’ corpses into at and take it all away. However, leaving just one or two would feel like a waste and it would be heartbreaking.
All the creatures in this dungeon are ingredients hard to find in the outside world, whether magical or ordinary, they’re all top-notch.
Hence, most of those who co here as dungeon explorers adhere to the principle of not killing unnecessarily if they don’t plan to eat.
The entire forest spans a vast area. Not long after Kane and the others killed the wild boar, the whole forest fell into complete darkness due to the tall trees blocking out the moonlight and starlight.
Still, as silver-level explorers, Kane and his team have excellent night vision capabilities, enabling them to find a good spot to rest.
Traveling in the forest at night is quite troubleso, requiring constant vigilance to maintain their condition.
In truth, Kane and the others were looking forward to the barbecue they were about to have, using the giant wild boar they hunted earlier as the ingredients.
This barbecue wasn’t held in a cabin but outside, with Kane setting up a temporary site.
Regarding the light and aroma emanating from the barbecue, Kane and his companions employed thods to send them high into the sky to avoid attracting too much trouble.
Kane cleverly used his origin skills to create a broad grill platform, allowing each of his teammates to freely barbecue. After all, anyone can cook as long as they master the heat, and with Kuria’s secret sauce on the side, even without skilled techniques, they could still make food not much different from that of Kreya’s delicious cuisine.
Wearing a slice of thick pork on the grill, Kane slowly roasted it, as the fragrance from the burst of oil and sauce powerfully penetrated his nostrils, causing his stomach to growl in hunger.
This particular pork slice is the essence of magical ingredients from the giant wild boar.
Every piece of at roasted with secret sauce and pork slice can be considered magic cuisine with the function of boosting attributes, but all pork’s attribute boosting is the sa - strength.
But concerning such cuisine, its effect is rely a byproduct. The main attraction is the taste derived from the ingredients, which, through various processes, burst forth into an ultimate flavor, offering an exquisite enjoynt to the palate that leaves Kane and his team insatiable.
...
In a dimly lit camp.
Through the surrounding cliff walls, it can be deduced that this camp is hidden inside a cave.
The cave is fairly spacious, judging by the size of the camp and the number of tents, there should be two or three teams of explorers.
At this mont, by the campfire, two hooded figures sat by the fire, chatting indistinctly.
"Are you sure you saw them?" the taller figure asked in a coarse voice.
The figure sitting opposite looked more ordinary and replied, "I didn’t see wrong, and besides, they noticed when I saw them, which also confird their identity."
"That’s a bit troubleso!" Upon hearing this, the tall figure scratched his head.
"Yeah, the first news that ca said they had just reached silver-level, hadn’t had ti to classify them as targets, and they’ve already reached such strength."
"Why don’t we lay low for a while, let them clear the dungeon and leave, then we’ll continue our action."
"But should we just let him go? If we don’t eliminate him early on, he’ll certainly beco a major threat to us in the future."
"But we’re nearing the end of the era, already short-handed, we can’t spare more manpower against him. Besides, you’ve seen those reports, right?
He’s always with his team, their strength is not sothing you or I can handle alone, even assembling all companions in this area wouldn’t be enough."
"I’ve already inford the clan elder, he will arrive here soon. All we need to do is delay them a bit, so they don’t clear the dungeon too quickly."
Upon hearing his words, the tall figure’s coarse voice was filled with confusion and puzzlent: "But why, why would an elder be willing to deal with such a person at this ti?"
"Because his grandson was the one who died last ti."
"Oh, no wonder."
"Do you have a plan? If the plan isn’t thorough enough to convince , even if an elder cos, I won’t take the risk to act."
"Rest assured, of course, there’s a plan. Co, let explain in detail."
Nebulous shadows gathered around them at so point, sitting around the fire as if drawn in by the promise of explanation.
The sound of plotting echoed within the cave walls, while the tiny exit offered no escape to intrigue.
