A crossbow arrow flew by, piercing into the sli’s body.
The green sli was indeed resting. After the arrow hit its body, it inexplicably wobbled, as if just waking up.
Slowly, it fell from the tree, its body transforming midair into a broad mbrane, allowing it to glide toward Kane and his group.
"This is pretty interesting," Kane thought.
Throughout the sli’s glide, Kane and his team did not attack, waiting for the sli to strike first.
When the green sli finally glided over and fell before them, part of its body morphed into a spike, aiming at Kreya.
To make the spike powerful, it had to be solidified. Kreya’s hand instantly wielded a long-handled warhamr.
The warhamr in Kreya’s hand was as nimble as her arm, striking the spike and shattering it, spreading the green sli’s gel everywhere.
The green sli didn’t behave like the blue sli, which imdiately sought its missing parts, but instead started attacking again, sending several spikes at once, all of which Kreya shattered.
From nearly a ter in diater, its body shrank to the size of a head, moving very sluggishly, then shattered without waiting for Kane’s group to attack.
All around, there were large and small green water droplets; before the sli’s death, they felt gel-like, but upon death, they turned into liquid encased in bubbles.
Everyone collected the water droplets around them.
With the sa motion, they sliced open the droplets, pouring out the bubbly liquid inside.
Kane thought the liquid from the slain green sli’s droplets wouldn’t be carbonated water anymore, but surprisingly it still was. After tasting it, he realized the taste was sowhat familiar.
Yes, it hit him.
It’s Sprite.
"Ah, this brings back mories."
Thinking about it made Kane suddenly excited; with the taste of Sprite, there might be a flavor akin to cola.
That was Kane’s forr favorite.
Without hesitation, Kane and his teammates began searching the area, testing the different colored slis to see if their flavors varied.
Not all colored slis left behind carbonated water once dead.
Only those whose leftover droplets had fine bubbles tasted carbonated, many tasted like fruit juice.
Kane’s group defeated two orange-yellow slis; one tasted like juice, the other classic Fanta.
The sa colored slis could have different tastes.
Kane kept seeking slis with bodies colored black or close to black.
Because the sli’s body color is greatly linked to its flavor.
During their quest, Kreya and her group tasted each sli’s liquid, searching for their preferred flavor.
Ultimately, they each found their favorite type, and Kane’s group allocated the sli droplets according to their tastes.
Lilulu and Kreya preferred juice-like liquids while Longbei favored carbonated water, especially one with a hint of alcohol; his favorite.
izike and Kane liked various carbonated waters, so they split that type of droplet but Kane still sought a cola-like flavor.
"Wait, is that one golden?"
While wandering the forest searching for flavorful slis, they finally spotted their mission target.
A ray of golden sunlight pierced through the canopy gaps.
The light fell upon a golden object—a sli, making it shine more brilliantly.
"That must be it. The mission goal is to capture it alive," Kane said, swinging to the golden sli using Spider Silk.
The golden sli noticed Kane’s group but didn’t attack like the others; instead, it swiftly began bouncing away without the slightest thought of engagent.
This confused Kane a bit, but he didn’t let the golden sli escape. In a split second, a transparent box trapped the bounce in mid-air.
The box containing the golden sli floated toward Kane.
Holding the transparent iron box, the golden sli inside imdiately beca a puddle, its liquid undulating, attempting to escape.
"What flavor might the golden one be?" Lilulu asked, flying over and looking at the transparent box in Kane’s hand.
Seeing Lilulu’s questioning gaze, Kane shrugged, indicating he didn’t know either, since he hadn’t tasted it before.
Suddenly, a blue holographic projection appeared before them.
It showed the introduction of Honey Sli.
When they accepted the commission, it noted the sli’s liquid was extrely sweet.
Now through the display, the imagination of such sweetness reached a new level.
It revealed the golden sli’s liquid had the top-tier sweetness in the world, resembling honey.
Kane didn’t need to look back to know Lilulu and Kreya’s eyes must be sparkling.
Looking at their captured target, Kane turned to his teammates.
"We’ve captured the target, should we head back or..." Kane tilted his head, suggesting.
Seeing the group’s expression, Kane laughed: "Alright, let’s continue."
And with that, he led the team toward the forest boundary, ensuring no sli would escape their grasp.
They aid to make every encountered sli part of their beverage stash.
Wherever they passed, no sli survived, their trail like an eraser wiping a pencil-written notebook.
"Brown-black, a brown-black sli." Kane suddenly exclaid, noticing it hiding near the tree corner.
Kreya’s group found Kane’s excitent curious; what was special about this color sli?
Without explaining, Kane flashed over next to the black sli.
The black sli was startled by Kane’s sudden appearance, turning part of its body into a black giant hamr, swinging at Kane.
Standing his ground, Kane’s transparent hamr under his control struck back. The black sli showed its temper, attacking fiercely, unbothered by its shrinking body.
Soon it had shifted into a very small form, shattering on the spot.
Gazing at the scattered black droplets all around, Kane’s mood surged with excitent.
Collecting all the black droplets, Kane looked at the liquid bubbling from the black droplet.
The liquid inside bore an uncanny resemblance to cola; though it had been long since Kane drank it, he still rembers vividly.
Could it be cola? Is this the taste of cola?
