After returning to the hotel room, Kane and company had just cleaned up and showered when they heard a knock on the door as Funa and the others arrived.
"Excuse , is Mr. Kane here? We are from the council."
Hearing the voice outside the door, Kane got up to open it.
Standing outside were a man and a woman, both human, wearing the Mist Council uniforms.
"Captain Kane, I’ve heard much about you. I’m Lu Keqi, and this is my assistant."
"Hello, my na is Emma."
Kane nodded, shook hands with them, and invited them inside.
Seeing Kreya and the others, they nodded at each one to get acquainted.
"Captain Kane, we heard you retained the bodies. Can we check them?"
Hearing this, Kane nodded, then dragged out two corpses from his storage-type space equipnt and laid them on the floor.
The two bodies still emanated a rather fresh bloody sll, without the typical putrid stench of corpses.
Being Silver-level Explorers, the bodies’ attributes were extrely resilient, and it takes a long ti for them to rot.
As Lu Keqi saw the birdn, he was almost certain.
"Ah, it’s those birdn again," Emma couldn’t help but comnt.
"Is there a problem with this race?" Kane asked, unable to help himself after hearing her words.
"Yes, these birdn are known as Celestial Dogs and are almost a cornerstone race for the Black Mist Organization; nearly two-thirds of their population is part of the organization. They are rumored to be among the founders of the Black Mist."
Hearing Lu Keqi’s explanation, Kane nodded. No wonder he encountered these birdn both tis with the Black Mist.
Yet, despite this, Lu Keqi still took out so equipnt to start examining the white birdman’s body, including the blood and feathers.
Speaking about it, Kane never learned these people’s nas, as it seed to be the case every ti he encountered them.

After inspecting them, Lu Keqi nodded: "These are indeed Black Mist Organization mbers. Do you have more bodies?"
After putting the two cadavers into his space equipnt, Lu Keqi inquired Kane.

Inside, Lu Keqi, still looking towards the door, widened his eyes in shock, then quickly stood up.
Approaching the man, he imdiately bowed at a 90-degree angle, saying, "Master Bagri, how co you’re here?"
With his beer belly, Bagri still sported a friendly smile, patting Lu Keqi on the shoulder: "No need to be so tense, don’t call master, just call president. I prefer that title."
He explained to Kane’s side, saying, "What I’m proudest of is establishing the Food Guild, you see."
By his friendly deanor, it was hard to associate him with a five-colored powerhouse.
He strolled over to the pile of bodies, glancing at them.
"These guys are truly troubleso, like cockroaches, never-ending."
