Dungeon Hall

Kane and the others appeared on the Teleportation Stone that led into the dungeon, passed through the empty hall, and arrived outside the stone house.

Outside, the sky had already turned to dusk, according to their sense of ti.

It should be the night of the second day now.

Passing by the Potion Shop, Kane suggested to izike, "It’s not too late now, Burton should have recovered. How about we go to the tavern for a al first?"

izike, who was already prepared to return to the shop, stopped and after thinking a bit rejoined the team.

The group was not in a hurry, chatting casually as they walked.

When they returned to the Big Gold Tooth Tavern, they happened to see Mala about to close the tavern door.

Seeing Kane and the others, Mala halted his actions, waiting for them to enter.

"Good evening, Mala. How is my brother? Still acting like he’s on the brink of life and death?"

Upon seeing Mala, Longbei imdiately expressed his unique concern for his brother.

Visible changes appeared in Mala’s expression, but he quickly restrained himself and nodded to indicate Burton had recovered.

The group entered the tavern.

The hall was devoid of custors; even the drunks had been dragged away at this hour.

As they entered, Burton was seen slumped over the bar of the tavern, sound asleep, his face flushed red, likely from drinking a lot.

Perhaps sensing Kane and the others’ arrival, Burton stretched lazily, and the flush on his face instantly faded quite a bit.

He looked at Kane and the group and said, "You stayed quite long in the dungeon this ti, didn’t you? Are you going to fight the boss of the second stage soon?"

The group sat down at the bar, Kane nodded upon hearing Burton’s question.

Longbei directly addressed his brother: "You stone-head are quite clever. Quickly whip up a feast, I’m starving."

"Idiot," Burton said, sending his brother flying with a punch, then headed to the kitchen.

"Don’t worry, there are plenty of ingredients in the kitchen. I’ll whip up a feast for you now."

Longbei, who had been sent flying, dusted himself off and ca back over.

"Your way of interacting with your brother is quite unique indeed," Kreya comnted.

Longbei slid behind the bar and asked the group what they needed to drink.

While grabbing drinks, he answered, "It’s our family’s unique way of showing concern. If he didn’t punch one day, then I’d be the one truly worried."

So that’s how your family is.

The group started chatting casually.

Before long, Burton started bringing out food continuously.

Kane looked at the sudden pile of food that had been prepared.

"How did you cook so quickly?"

Burton’s beard fluttered a bit, and he replied smugly, "I’m a gold-tier chef who once studied various culinary skills in the City of Gastronomy."

He waved his hand as a signal for Kane and the others to start eating before picking up his pipe.

"Don’t even talk about basic skills like cooking quickly; I used to be considered an auxiliary in the team, and could grant all sorts of enhancents to my teammates with food."

He noticed the sparkle in Kreya’s eyes and addressed her, "Kreya, when you’re silver-tier later, make sure Kane takes you to the City of Gastronomy. It’s practically the center of world’s delicious food, and it will definitely improve your culinary skills imnsely."

He pointed his pipe at Kane, "Did you hear that, kid?"

Kane nodded, thinking not only about Kreya, but he himself already wanted to visit.

Seeing Burton in this state eased his mind a bit.

Burton continued, "You guys will soon fight the boss of the second stage, make sure to be cautious. Don’t lower your guard even for a mont despite the ease in front; I’ve seen too many fall because of this."

The smoke rings he exhaled circled in the air.

Kane took this advice to heart.

After eating, Kane greeted his teammates and returned to his room.

He filled the bathtub with water and lay down.

It was then that Youyou suddenly slid in.

"What’s up, Youyou?"

Seeing Youyou, Kane was a bit puzzled since he usually left Youyou to Kreya.

"Master, I have sothing to tell you," Youyou whispered.

"What is it that you’re being so secretive about?"

"Youyou is running out of power."

Kane slapped his forehead, realizing why he had never wondered about Youyou’s energy consumption issue.

Perhaps because it seed normal in a fantasy world for things to be intelligent or mobile, so he hadn’t asked if Youyou required charging.

He quickly asked, "What type of energy does Youyou need?"

Youyou slid out and shortly returned holding sothing.

Seeing it, Kane’s heart sank.

"You need Magic Materials to recharge?"

"Hmm."

Kane hurriedly ran out, searching around his storage.

He took out Magic Materials he had previously bought from the shop, handed it to Youyou and asked, "Will this work?"

Please let it work!

Youyou took it, using the antenna on its head to scan.

"It works, master."

"Phew."

Kane let out a long sigh of relief, thankfully it was only Magic Materials needed.

Since they can be bought, Kane’s concerns were alleviated.

It was quite a scare, realizing Youyou required Magic Materials for power.

Youyou held up the Magic Materials and slid out.

Kane prepared to rest as well.

————————

Sunlight stread through the window, directly onto the bed in the room.

Kane faced the sunlight.

How annoying, why doesn’t soone help pull the curtains?

Absolutely unwilling to move.

Under the assault of sunlight, he had to get up.

After washing up and dressing, he ca out.

Kreya and Longbei were already at the bar, even izike had co.

Seeing his teammates gathered, he felt curious.

"Why are you all here? Isn’t it a rest day?"

Kane walked over.

Burton laughed heartily and said, "Mist eats all."

They were playing Dungeon Cards, a rather popular entertainnt in this world.

According to Burton, it has a history of over 2000 years.

However, Kane didn’t quite get it because the ga was complex, most people played it from a young age, it’s even considered the sole childhood entertainnt.

Kane, being sowhat of a half-transmigrator with no childhood filter, experienced too many entertainnts, hence couldn’t develop a liking for this ga.

Watching them, despite engaging in entertainnt, they still looked bored.

"How about heading to the training ground to teach so weapon skills?" Kane suggested.

The close-combat mbers of the group were considered ageless for humans, making their skills far beyond his own.

Thus, Kane wanted one of them to train him a bit.

"Sure," Kreya threw down her cards, ready to go.

Even Kane, who wasn’t familiar with the ga, could see she had a bad hand.

Nonetheless, she agreed, so Kane took Kreya along.

Longbei and izike followed too.

Burton watched the group leave suddenly, then turned to Mala.

"Again, left with you, the silent one. So boring."
