Noon
Sunlight stread into the training ground next to Crystal Town, where Kane was practicing with his new weapon.
The modifications to the equipnt were done late last night, yet it hadn’t been truly tested—only theoretical plans had been made.
As soon as he woke up, Kane headed to the arena, holding high expectations for his new weapon, as he felt he’d found the path forward for his Origin Skills and the correct way to use them.
With a wave of Magic Power, he controlled the clay, constructing a four-hole launcher that was invisible to ordinary people.
Kane raised the launcher, inspecting it intently to perceive its structure, nodding in satisfaction once assured of its perfection.
He raised the launcher, aiming at the wooden target 100 ters ahead, infusing Magic Power into the launcher and creating Crossbow Arrows inside the launch chamber.
He pulled the trigger.
"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh"
The four Crossbow Arrows in the launch chamber swiftly shot out, the sound of air being sliced as they flew.
The four Crossbow Arrows lodged deeply into the wooden target.
Kane walked over to inspect, finding the arrowheads buried nearly 8 centiters deep into the wood.
With so effort, he pulled the arrows out, highly satisfied with their power.
He then reconstructed the launcher in his hand, rging the four launch holes into a larger opening.
The physique of the launcher started elongating, being remodeled internally.
Eventually, a launcher over a ter long was crafted in Kane’s hands.
This was Kane’s trump card—the Launcher-Annihilation type.
It’s essentially Kane’s most powerful single-target offensive thod now.
Lifting the launcher, he aid at the wooden target ahead, pouring in Magic Power in large amounts.
The Powerful Shot skill activated, and three of the four arrows from earlier were from the Critical Strike.
Now, this arrow would show the maximum output achievable.
He quickly pulled the trigger.
A sound of machinery connecting rang out, and a hand-length Crossbow Arrow shot forward, its arrowhead shaped diamond-like for Armor Piercing.
"Plop"
The arrowhead pierced straight through the wooden target, lodging firmly into the wooden dummy behind.
Kane walked over and found a large hole in the middle of the wooden target, far larger than the arrow itself.
After penetrating the target, the Crossbow Arrow buried one fist deep into the wooden dummy behind.
Kane was very satisfied with the damage, although such an attack consud a significant amount of Magic Power, but it was ant to turn the tide with one decisive strike.
Plus, the arrows were swift and invisible, making defense difficult, and more material could be added to the arrowheads for additional effect.
Kane clapped his hands, dispelling the launcher in his hand, exited the training ground, and compensated for the damages.
On his way back to the tavern, he passed the old lady’s clothing store and recalled Kreya’s and others’ robes were torn, so he bought two new ones.
Returning to the tavern hall, Longbei and others were drinking and chatting at the bar.
When they saw Kane return, they waved and said, "We wondered why we didn’t see you all morning since you went out."
As Kane sat down at the bar, Kreya’s Cotton Candy flew over from her arms, perched on its head.
With a swift charge, Cotton Candy bumped into Kane’s face.
"Beep beep"
"Alright, alright, you’re still too young, go eat your food first."
Saying so, Kane handed over a bit of water from the side to Cotton Candy, who wouldn’t take water from anyone except Kane’s team.
Cotton Candy puffed up, quietly drinking his water beside him.
Kane reached into his Space Equipnt and handed the newly bought robes to Kreya and Longbei.
Receiving the robe, Kreya asked, "Why didn’t you sleep in this morning? Out so early?"
"Hehe," Kane boasted, "I made so precious goodies, and tomorrow you’ll get to see."
"What kind of treasure?"
Longbei curiously leaned over to ask.
Kane replied enigmatically, "Can’t tell, can’t tell, you’ll see tomorrow, definitely a surprise."
"Tch, keeping secrets."
Kreya turned her head away, looking displeased.
"Exactly, exactly,"
Longbei chid in.
Yet, even with their prodding, Kane didn’t give in.
Kane suddenly glanced around and noticed soone was missing and asked, "Where’s izike, haven’t seen him."
Longbei pointed toward the door, saying, "Just like you, he went out early, saying he’ll prepare sothing back at his shop."
As soon as that was ntioned, izike walked in from the tavern entrance.
Kane scooted over, giving him space.
izike sat down and brushed past his Space Equipnt at his waist with four hands, revealing several Potions in his hands.
He handed the potions to Kane.
Kane looked at them and asked, "The Blue Potion you gave last ti isn’t finished; you don’t need to give more, right?"
izike shook his head.
"New Potion, faster recovery, more volu restored."
Seems like recent Dungeon explorations made izike aware of Kane’s skills consuming Magic Power rapidly, identifying Kane’s weakness.
Thus, in his free ti over these days, he tailored more suitable potions for Kane’s needs.
This morning finally produced results.
He then pulled out three Potion Bottles different from before, which were the types of Enhancent Bottles he controlled.
He lifted them to showcase to everyone.
Then he said, "Healing Particles, now capable of targeted healing, even during battles, they can heal your injuries."
With that, he tossed three Potion Bottles simultaneously, allowing them to hover around everyone.
izike waved his hand, tilting the Potion Bottles to release the red particles from their openings, directing them toward the three.
These Healing Particles didn’t scatter as before but drifted purposefully toward individuals.
Burton seeing this, nodded with appreciation.
He always understood izike’s talent, far surpassing his old teammate, izike’s grandfather.
izike’s grandfather often chatted about his grandson’s talent with Burton and his worry for his grandson’s introverted personality.
Sure enough, after his grandfather’s passing, izike seed to lose direction, his skills stalling as though frozen.
Now, seeing izike rekindling his talent for the sake of his teammates and honing his craft, Burton felt deeply gratified.
Seems like tonight he’d have to et up with his old friend for a drink, sharing news about his grandson’s endeavors, assuring him down below not to worry.
Kane and the others praised izike continuously, patting his shoulder.
In response, izike flashed a stiff smile.
