When Kane and the others stepped out of the city, the sun had completely set behind the hills, yet the sun’s lingering glow still prevented the sky from falling into complete darkness.

"Don’t you have a fixed residence?"

Kane suddenly turned his head and asked Umberto beside him.

Umberto shook his head: "I’m always on the road."

"Is that so? Then where are you planning to go now?"

He pointed in a direction and said, "My intuition tells to move forward in this direction."

"Is it that magical?"

...

As the sky was about to turn completely dark, Umberto found a small hill, planning to rest here for the night.

They were already deep in the forest, and although the sky hadn’t fully darkened, it was pitch black inside.

"It’s already dark. Traveling at night would be inconvenient and very dangerous. Can we make do here tonight?"

Umberto was seeking Kane and the others’ opinions.

If it were just him, he wouldn’t mind, but now he had to consider the extraordinary beings following him.

"It doesn’t matter; staying here for a night works too."

Upon hearing Kane agree, Umberto prepared to collect so dry wood from the surroundings.

Then, he saw Kane wave a hand before him.

A small villa appeared right in front of him, amidst the dense forest.

Very abrupt, yet very magical.

"This..."

He stood there in a daze, turning his head to stare at Kane.

His intuition, his spirit, everything told him this wasn’t illusory.

Kreya and the others had already entered the villa, while Kane stood at the door, waving to Umberto.

"Why just stand there? Don’t worry, even though we’ve just t, I’ve specially made a room for you."

Umberto opened his mouth but didn’t ask anything, silently entering.

Just thinking of Kane and the others’ god-like powers, suddenly creating a villa seed quite normal.

He comforted himself like this.

This should be a three-story villa; entering through the door led to a spacious living room that almost took up the entire first floor.

In the living room, one could see stairs leading to the second floor and an unknown small compartnt.

An open kitchen connected with the dining and living room.

The setup of the entire living room felt very cozy.

Umberto felt, maybe mistakenly, that all the furniture in the villa seed a bit large.

Turning his head and seeing Kreya, he seed to understand sothing.

He arrived at the sofa in the living room, where Kane threw himself and sank into the soft cushions.

He emitted a comfortable sound.

At this mont, Kane suddenly felt sothing, opened his eyes to show a slight dullness.

His vision had already drifted afar.

And in the Prophet’s residence.

The chanical orb Kane left behind when he departed hovered in the air, recording the scene before it.

The array on its surface concealed its form.

At this mont in the first-floor hall, the Prophet suddenly clutched his neck as if choking.

One hand slapped the dining table while slipping uncontrollably off the chair.

"Quick, quick, the Prophet is choking, save him!"

"You, go outside and get a doctor!"

"You..."

There was still quite a spread of delicious food on the table, and seeing the napkin around the Prophet’s neck revealed he seemingly choked on sothing.

The surrounding servants were all in a frenzy.

They were at a loss but followed mories to search for so first aid thods and proceeded to rescue the Prophet before them.

Even the seemingly butler-like middle-aged man was in a panic, clueless.

But their thods were ineffective, regardless of how they slapped or attempted regurgitation, nothing was ejected from the Prophet’s mouth.

His complexion grew worse, starting to show tinges of blue and purple.

Soon, before everyone, the Prophet suffocated, losing his breath.

Of course, this was only in the eyes of ordinary people.

In the machine’s view, through magic-infused vision, the Cloud Mist Bracelet wrapped around the Prophet’s hand had previously rushed into his throat while he was eating, blocking his windpipe.

Thus suffocating him alive here.

With his demise, silver liquid began spilling continuously from his eye sockets.

It was the sa as what previously erupted from his eyes.

The silver liquid moved slower, eventually like death flowing onto the floor and turning to ash.

The airborne chanical orb faithfully recorded this scene.

Far away in the wilderness villa, Kane took in the entire spectacle.

It was then that Kane’s eyes regained their brilliance.

"You killed that Prophet? Why?"

Kane couldn’t understand and thus asked straight away.

Upon hearing Kane’s sudden words, Umberto lifted his head to look at him.

His expression showed so shock.

Even though Kane didn’t know how or why he managed it, even he wasn’t sure if he had succeeded.

Still, considering Kane’s strength, he didn’t ask further.

"Did it work?"

He murmured, then nodded.

"Yes, I intend to kill him."

"Could you enlighten us, including the situation of this Prophet and why you’re eliminating him?"

This is actually a great place for a conversation right now.

About Kane’s question, Umberto nodded.

He didn’t intend to hide anything from the people in front of him.

Because his intuition told him that it would be useless.

"When he refused to separate from the rcury Spirit, he was bound to die."

"The rcury Spirit is what you saw at the ti, the silver liquid that seed alive and erged from his eyes."

"Those silver rcury Spirits are the reason he could foresee the future and beco a Prophet."

After Umberto’s explanation, Kane nodded.

At this point, Lilulu suddenly asked, "So, are those silver things also spirits?"

"Yes, they are a type of spirit as well."

Upon saying this, Umberto seed lost in mories and began to narrate.

"I t him about 12 years ago. Back then, he wasn’t as... prominent as he is now; he was just an ordinary rchant."

"At that ti, he was very restrained, able to control his desires. Even with the ability to foresee, he only acquired limited wealth to slightly improve his life."

Saying this, he suddenly sighed.

"When I t him, I was prepared to separate him from the rcury Spirit, but seeing his principles and moderation, I rely warned him not to foresee too much."

"This way, he could maintain a certain balance with the rcury Spirit and lead a normal life."

At this point, Kreya beside him spoke, "So, you’re saying that if he beca greedy and overused his foresight, he would rge with the rcury Spirit. And you chose to eliminate him because such a rger could potentially affect the surroundings?"

Upon hearing Kreya’s words, Umberto nodded.

"Yes, if things continue unchecked, once he fully rges with the rcury Spirit, at that mont, he will foresee calamities. And the calamity will inevitably occur, executed personally by the rcury Spirit."

Kane pondered this statent for a mont.

This ans such events must have been docunted; otherwise, Umberto couldn’t know them this clearly.

The ultimate foresight inevitably leads to calamity, which will descend and be caused by one’s own intervention.

What kind of foresight is that? It’s purely a self-directed act.

"Can that silver mass do such things?" Longbei asked, a bit puzzled.

They had seen the so-called rcury Spirit before, and the sensory impact it left was not strong, not as dangerous as ng Beito had described.

Umberto nodded: "Spirits have no consciousness of their own; they act solely on their instincts."

"After predicting a disaster, the rcury Spirit instinctively begins to act, prompting surrounding spirits to move with it, thus triggering the calamity."

With this explanation, it’s roughly understood why the rcury Spirit, despite its weak form, can cause significant harm.

Though weak itself, it can influence other surrounding spirits to join it in causing destruction.

And now, the closer to human settlents, the more spirits there are.

Seeing Umberto like this, it’s clear that these so-called foretold disasters are surely related to the settlents.

When these spirits act together, they might even completely destroy the entire small city from before.

Hearing this, Kane couldn’t help but beco greatly interested in these so-called spirits.

"Are there many spirits like this? Spirits capable of causing considerable destruction."

Upon Kane’s question, Umberto thought for a mont and then nodded.

This piqued everyone’s curiosity, and they all focused their attention on him, waiting for him to speak.

Seeing such a situation, Umberto realized he couldn’t stop speaking now.

"According to records, spirits are diverse and peculiar; they coexist with humans yet remain separate, but undoubtedly, spirits are very powerful."

Saying this, Umberto raised his hand to touch his forehead, appearing contemplative.

"For instance, there’s a type of spirit called Dream Birds; they travel in flocks, sotis numbering in the hundreds of thousands."

"These are bird-like creatures about the size of a human head, black and white all over. They lodge in human dreams, but once the number of Dream Birds in a person’s dream becos excessive..."

At this point, Umberto paused, creating suspense.

Seeing Longbei’s unfriendly gaze, he imdiately continued, "They will fly out of the dream."

"Based on the number of Dream Birds erging, they might bring elents from the host’s dream into reality."

"Bring into reality? What do you an?" Longbei asked, curious and puzzled.

Turning dreams into reality?

Umberto reorganized his words before speaking: "It’s about making dreams real. If the host’s dream is a good dream, then depending on the number of Dream Birds, it can transform the dream into reality."

"If it is a nightmare..."

At this point, he fell silent.

But the majority understood what he implied.

If it is a nightmare, and if the number of lodged Dream Birds is substantial and they erge, it might bring the nightmare into reality.

But dreams are beyond human control, so if one were to dream of an unpleasant nightmare, and it indeed manifested in reality, it could bring disaster to the surroundings, even over a wide area.

For example, dreaming of volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis, and so on.

"However, there’s no need to worry. The number of these Dream Birds residing here is minimal; with the world fragnted, they’re almost impossible to find."

"Without sufficient numbers, even if they fly out of the dream, they can’t impact reality significantly."

Umberto narrated while standing nearby.

The fragntation of the world has greatly reduced the number of spirits worldwide.

If not for the Mist encircling them, there would likely be even fewer spirits now.
