Now reading: Chapter 113 - Dungeon Core from Slime Evolution, a Game novel by NunuXD.

As soon as Pip and Elle left the tree, Lohan returned to focusing 100% on digesting Queen Beetle’s body while Lisa began exploring the place, searching for the Dungeon Core.

"I hope it really exists, or that there’s still a Core here..." She comnted worriedly.

"Why?" Lohan asked, without stopping digesting the corpse.

Every few seconds Lisa had to shoot a small spark of [Spirit Fire] at him, so that the [Hemolymphatic Tissue] remained active, otherwise it would take Lohan a whole day to digest all the corpses in this place.

The problem with this tactic was that every few seconds Lohan had to feel a pain as if he were being burned by a lighter.

It wasn’t agonizing pain, but being burned by a lighter several tis in a row was definitely annoying.

After blowing a small ball of flas at the Sli, ensuring that she was using the minimum power to cause damage, but only hurting it as little as possible, Lisa explained. "If we were just killing a common Boss monster, I wouldn’t worry about it that much, but considering that this Queen was a Player, I’m not so sure she didn’t ss up and lose the Dungeon Core..."

Lohan realized that made sense, but then another question arose. "Wasn’t there a dungeon core here? If not, why wouldn’t she have ford a guild for herself?"

Lisa shook her head. "That’s impossible. A guild can only be ford by a group of at least two players. Unless there is another player in contact with that beetle, which I find a little difficult, we are safe."

Concerned about this, Lohan decided to activate all of his tracking Evolutions to try to find this Dungeon Core while still digesting the Queen’s corpse.

[Instinctive Perception Lv 15]

[Chemosensory Aptitude Lv 11]

[Monocular Telescopic Vision Lv 9]

[Thermographic Perception Lv 9]

With these four evolutions activated at the sa ti, Lohan felt a flood of sensations wash over him.

Using these evolutions separately was no problem, but the more active evolutions he added at the sa ti, the more apparent the sll of everything in this tree beca with his instinctive perception, which also amplified his thermal vision, which at the sa ti was being boosted by his telescopic vision...

Using these four evolutions together was not a simple 1 1 1 1=4, it was more like 1 1 1 1=8!

And if he could get another evolution in this sense and try to activate it at the sa ti, the result would probably rise to 1 1 1 1 1=16!

That was the magic of the evolution stack. Even if the levels of the evolutions in general were not spectacular, spending less Biomass to raise the level of several evolutions could bring him an even better result!

And with so much biomass he was absorbing, after filling his biomass reservoir, Lohan intended to spend another 1,000 or 2,000 biomass just evolving the various low-level evolutions he had accumulated!

Sure, so high-level main ones would still be focused on, but he would undergo a major upgrade!

Suddenly, with all these sensations active, Lohan realized that there was nothing unusual on that floor, but inside the Queen’s body that he was digesting, there was a Mana Stone very different from the ones he had seen before.

Considering that the Queen Beetle was a Player, the possibility of her having a Mana Stone inside her was very low.

’It’s hard to say when I’ve only t two Players so far...’ He thought frustratedly, looking at the fox beside him and the giant corpse he was digesting. ’I’ll let Lisa continue searching while I focus on making my way to that stone...’

Lohan thought, and did just that.

Stretching four tentacles forward, Lohan began to digest a path inside the giant corpse like a hot knife through butter.

Instead of focusing on digesting as much as possible, he focused on clearing as much of the way as possible, and it worked.

In a few minutes, he felt the touch of the cold Stone on the tip of his tentacle.

To make sure he didn’t ss up, Lohan activated [Selective Digestion] and focused on digesting only the organic parts of that body and put that strange Mana Stone inside himself.

With the Mana Stone inside him, Lohan could see it in detail, which made the discrepancy between it and ordinary Mana Stones glaring!

"Lisa, I think I found what we’re looking for!" Lohan said excitedly, rolling at high speed along the path he had opened in the Queen’s body.

Hearing Lohan’s words in her mind, Lisa transford into a White Flash, even using [Spectral Step] to get there even faster, ignoring the stench that body had and looking at the hole opened there with anticipation.

In a few seconds, the blue gelatinous ball appeared there and rolled out, carrying a total of 3 Stones inside it.

One of the stones was the Mana Stone he took from one of the Elite Beetles they eliminated earlier, the other stone was his Sli Core, sothing all Slis had, and lastly there was an almost glowing red gem.

That gem seed charged with an energy totally different from anything they had seen so far.

When the fox’s eyes fell on it, Lisa was sure that Lohan had really found what they were looking for.

Lohan ford a small human hand, which at this point was much more realistic than the first few tis he used it, and extended the Dungeon Core to Lisa.

Honestly, anyone would be tempted to keep the Core for themselves, beco the leader of the Guild themselves, and receive Elysium’s reward for themselves.

But Lohan was not ungrateful.

Lisa was the one who knew this information, Lisa was the one who found the location of the Dungeon for them, Lisa was the one who carried him to level him up as quickly as possible so they could deal with the Dungeon, and most importantly, the future mbers of the Guild would largely be people affiliated with Lisa in the real world.

If he wanted to beco the guild leader, not only would it not work if Lisa didn’t agree to join his guild, since it took two players to form a guild, but he didn’t even know who to call, since he didn’t know any other players!

Considering that he had already received a reward for making the first PK in the Open World, Lohan felt no remorse for handing over this ’golden opportunity’ to the person who had helped him so much up to this point.

Unlike him, who didn’t know what to do to activate it, as soon as Lisa held the Dungeon Core, the red gem began to glow, completely enveloping the fox’s body, and in a few seconds that light spread and covered the Sli’s body as well.
