Lohan was surprised for a mont, but rembering hearing Aeliana comnt that her teacher was one of the most renowned magicians in Thalendor, he understood where this interest ca from.
Honestly, as long as the questions weren’t too invasive, he wouldn’t have a problem answering them. After all, it might not seem like much to her, but to Lohan, not only was her help invaluable, but the money he would save by answering these questions would be a great help to his finances in the real world, considering how much money he owed.
But before he could answer, Aeliana interrupted.
"Master, you can ask those questions later. Right now, I promised I would take them on a tour of Thalendor," Aeliana said, pouting.
Hearing this, Yrneha nodded, not caring so much.
Getting those answers today or in a few days would make no difference to soone who had lived for thousands of years.
Taking one last interested look at the sli, then looking at the little Spirit Fox and seeing nothing special about her, Yrneha said goodbye. "All right, Lia, just rember to bring your friend to my tower soti. In the anti, have fun, kids."
Saying that, she nodded minimally and delicately and raised her staff.
A purple glow covered her body in an instant, and she disappeared.
"She just teleported?!" Both Lohan and Lisa were shocked to witness this!
Despite humanity’s great advances, sothing that technology had not yet been able to replicate was teleportation!
If it were possible to learn this magic, wouldn’t it also be possible to use it in the real world?!
Aeliana noticed that they were in shock and let out a soft laugh. "Haha, don’t be too surprised, this is my master’s favorite move. As an expert in spatial magic, I often have to fight with her to get her to use her own legs, otherwise she’ll use teleportation even to go to the bathroom."
"I would definitely do the sa!" Lohan thought in wonder, loving the possibility of going anywhere in an instant.
"Co on, let’s go to Thalendor. It seems you took my tip about getting Shadow Serpent Digestive Acid very seriously!" Aeliana said with a laugh, looking at how big and clumsy Halon was from carrying so much acid.
The sli gave a thumbs up with one hand at his side and began to roll, and then the fox snapped out of her stupor and followed.
Lisa was also shocked by the magic Yrneha used, but compared to that, her biggest surprise was being treated like an ordinary person again!
It may seem like an exaggeration, but for soone born to be the center of attention in literally every social interaction outside of her own family, and especially being ignored because of soone else about as young as her, this was a refreshing feeling!
Other young people might be jealous of this, loving to be the center of attention, but for Lisa, it was perfect!
Then, without her realizing it, the fox’s furry white tail swayed rhythmically from side to side, showing how positive her mood was.
The group had to move a little slower so as not to risk spilling the digestive acid Lohan was carrying, but this ti allowed everyone to return to normal emotions and enjoy the environnt.
-xXx-
Aeliana walked slightly ahead, jumping between giant roots with an agility that Lohan still envied, while he concentrated on rolling without letting the digestive acid sway too much inside him.
’If I stumble and explode now, Thalendor will get a new acid pool before I even pass through the gate... he thought, controlling the inner mbrane at just the right point and using [Selective Viscosity] to ensure he wouldn’t slip on the vines that were beginning to appear on the path.
If they were on the main road, this wouldn’t be a problem, but now they were coming out of the forest surrounding the city, so there wasn’t a perfect, flat path for them to follow.
Soon, the dense green of the forest began to give way to sothing much grander. Lohan realized that the surrounding trees were no longer just vegetation, but had beco the very foundation of the city.
With colossal trunks, as wide as residential buildings, supporting towers of crystal and wood that rose in perfect organic spirals toward the sky.
"It’s amazing how thousands of years of accumulated details can change a place so much..." Lohan analyzed as he watched the flow of people increase.
He saw sturdy figures with animal ears carrying shiny ores and monster carcasses, as well as winged creatures that crossed the skies between the crystal towers from ti to ti.
As they approached, the air seed to change its "flavor."
The Mana concentrated there was so intense that it made his core vibrate in resonance. It was a feeling of comfort he had never felt even under the most expensive air filters in college.
Suddenly, a dangerous thought crossed his mind. ’If I activate my [Chemosensory Aptitude] here, will I overdose?!’
Rembering how good Aeliana slled, imagine what a city with thousands of elves like her would sll like? Who had lived here for tens of millennia?!
"There it is, Thalendor!" Aeliana shouted excitedly, pointing to the main arch where cascades of crystal clear water fell from hanging gardens, creating rainbow mists under the sun.
Lisa paused for a mont, also gazing at the tropolis in awe.
Even as an heiress in the real world, it was hard not to be impressed by a city that seed sculpted by nature itself.
She had traveled to hundreds, if not thousands, of planets in her lifeti, but no city she had visited in the past could compare to the splendor she saw in Thalendor.
Lohan felt the wooden card vibrate in the space pocket where it was stored and sped up her rolling.
The two girls also sped up, with Lisa excited to see more, and Aeliana excited to show her everything.
"Will I get to see any clichés playing out right in front of here? Just like I saw in stories in the other world?" Lohan thought, excited to possibly experience sothing he had only seen in books and movies.
