Just as her lips touched the cold glass bottle, a howl echoed, and the fierce-faced thug in front of her suddenly fell to the ground.
Replacing him was Caden Lockwood, with a face so grim it seed like he was ready to kill soone.
"Uncle!" Evelyn instinctively moved closer to Caden Lockwood, clutching his arm tightly, "What are you doing here!"
A surge of unmistakable excitent and joy rose in her heart. She instinctively believed that with his appearance, she would be saved!
Caden Lockwood squinted his sharp, cold eagle-like eyes, exuding a terrifying aura. He glanced at the pale-faced Evelyn, his handso face showing no change, but a fleeting, indistinguishable emotion flashed in his eyes, followed by an even more fierce expression.
He should have been furious with her, should have roared at her, but seeing the unabashed dependence in her eyes, his hardened heart quietly softened.
He pulled her into his embrace, his large hand gently stroking her back in comfort.
He glanced at the thug who dared to touch his woman and quickly stepped forward, grabbing the thug’s hand as he tried to get up, twisting it backward, and another pig-like howl erupted.
The others in the room saw what happened and imdiately rushed over to help.

Caden Lockwood grew even more furious, "You’re short on money?"
She stared at him, her delicate face full of resentnt, "You’re my creditor, do you think I’m short on money?"
His expression froze, and he almost turned into stone, gritting his teeth, he whispered, "You only pay two dollars a day!"
"Then I’ll just save up quickly and pay you back in one go, won’t that settle everything?" she said in a naive and relaxed tone.
"Who allowed you to pay back early?" He roared at her, his eyes filled with intense rage.
She was surprised, "Why not?"
"Being disobedient?" A flash of wicked defiance crossed his fierce face, and he threatened viciously, "Do you want to talk to the principal?"
She imdiately covered her mouth, shaking her head with great reaction.
However, the doubts, grievances, and resentnt in her heart were hard to hold back.
"Anyway, I’m the one who owes you money, and you don’t care how I pay it back, as long as I return it, right? Why must it be two dollars a day?" Her eyes shimred with a thin mist, "Uncle, please stop toying with ! I’m a decent person! That night was a mistake! You’ve slept with so many won, and they take pride in sleeping with you, but not , truly not!"
The subtext of her heart was: Please take seriously!
