"I have a clear conscience!" Locking eyes with Caden, Evelyn answered firmly.
Suddenly, she softened her tone: "If because of , you have to cut ties, do you actually intend to do anything to him, Uncle? Are you really such an unreasonable person?"

The manor had many rooms, and they were spacious. Caden led Evelyn to the door of a guest room on the second floor and stood there.
He was tall and upright, and when he turned his head, he uttered two cold words: "Open the door."
Her heart leapt to her throat, she nodded, did as told, and upon opening the door, she exclaid in surprise.
The room was splendidly lit, filled with clothes and shoes, and there was a glass jewelry cabinet, all stocked with bracelets and necklaces.
It was as if she had walked into a dazzling shop, and she liked everything inside.
Looking back at Caden, she asked, "This is?"
"Your wardrobe." Caden’s tone was neither warm nor cold.
"Mine?" Evelyn pointed at herself.

The clothes here seed more than all she had worn since childhood!
A trace of satisfaction flickered in Caden’s eyes as he pulled Evelyn close. Under the brilliant lights, her pretty face shone, and her eyes sparkled more brightly than any jewels.
Rubbing her palm with his thumb, tenderness filled his eyes, his handso face brimming with warmth, making him even more seductive and charming.
His broad chest exuded a reassuring strength, his thin lips parted slightly, "These things, you don’t have to wear them if you’re not comfortable, but if you ever feel like wearing, just co over anyti, Aunt May will change them according to the season. Upon hearing this, Evelyn’s heart surged with sweetness.
As Mrs. Lockwood, she should exhibit so traits of a lady from a wealthy family.
He gave her these luxuries, yet didn’t require her to change her original lifestyle.

She tilted her head, a smile playing on her lips, her eyes filled with curiosity, "What is it?"
