The indoor lights struggled to illuminate the room, Evelyn shivered heavily, her long eyelashes fluttering like butterfly wings, casting a lively and delicate arc, captivatingly beautiful.
Her small hand tightly clutched the fabric of his chest, forming a fist, preventing him from getting closer to her.
As the heated kiss continued, she beca increasingly flustered.

Her body trembled heavily once more, and she suddenly turned her head away,
"I..." she stamred in embarrassnt and panic, "I..."
She couldn’t think of what to say at all, turned on her heel to run, only to have her wrist caught, returning her to that broad chest once more.
Her cheek rested against the position over his heart.

It didn’t seem as steady as before.
Could he be nervous too?
Her cheeks burned as if they were on fire, his arms tightened around her waist, her whole body pressed against him.
"Don’t make wait too long." His voice was low and slow, "At least consider, I’m a normal man."
She was taken aback, a smile involuntarily curled the corner of her lips.
A man like him, so exceptional that no one could dare reject him, cold and strong, not permitting anyone to get close.
Yet he allowed her near.
Even made her his wife.
This undoubtedly satiated her vanity to an enormous degree.
In truth, thinking it over, being Mrs. Lockwood truly didn’t shortchange her at all!
Furthermore, she was always puzzled as to why, during the ti spent with Caden Lockwood, she almost never thought of Logan Shaw.
There was a question she needed to clarify: Was Logan Shaw actually her big brother?
Could she have... been mistaken?
Evelyn remained standing in Caden Lockwood’s embrace, obediently, neither pushing him away nor retreating.
She was entirely lost in her confusion, seemingly forgetting her current situation.
Only when her legs were about to go numb did Caden Lockwood suddenly pick her up.
Seeing her panic-stricken expression, his face was filled with helplessness, yet deeper indulgence.
"Not tired?" he spoke coolly, "Erin Morgan, find a woman even dumber than you!"
"You’re the dumb one!" she retorted defiantly, "Put down!"
"Ti to sleep."
After Caden Lockwood uttered these words, Evelyn didn’t make a sound for the rest of the night.
Whether he chose to hold her while sleeping or push her away, she made no complaints, her body stiff, breathing lightly and slowly, evidently cautious.
He sighed lightly in helplessness, "Go to sleep, I’ll head to the study to handle a few things."
"Uncle!" she suddenly spoke up, "You said... I’m the sa as those won, that I... disgust you. So... how many won have there been?"
