Cecilia Lynch is working part-ti to earn money. Upon hearing that Evelyn has gotten drunk and has nowhere to go, she quickly asks for leave, informs Logan Shaw of her ho address, and then rushes ho.
Evelyn lies asleep on the back seat of the car, turned to the side with no intention of waking up.
Logan glances back at Evelyn’s sleeping posture, the corners of his lips form a slight smile as he drives away.
Not far away, Caden Lockwood sits in his car, watching Logan’s car grow farther until soon it will disappear from his sight. He starts his car but doesn’t chase after it.
Evelyn resents him so much and desperately wants to escape from him.

He turns and heads to a nearby drinking place, orders two boxes of alcohol, and begins drinking from one bottle to another...
Logan drives the car and finally arrives downstairs at Cecilia’s place. He carries Evelyn upstairs and is surprised to see Julian Keaton standing at her doorstep.
Knowing that Julian Keaton and Caden Lockwood are friends, Logan’s eyebrows imdiately beco alert. He steps back two steps, coldly saying, "What are you here for?"
Julian looks at Evelyn, who is unconscious in Logan’s arms, stands upright, and a faint smile appears on his face. Yet, it’s not a smile, but a colder, more imposing deanor.
"Holding soone else’s wife, aren’t you quite pleased with yourself?" Julian mocks.
"You’re close with Caden Lockwood; you should know there are issues in their marriage." Logan’s tone is filled with deep aning.
He still doesn’t know the specifics of Evelyn and Caden’s marriage, but certainly, there are hidden truths.
Hearing this, Julian slightly furrows his brows.
He only knows that Caden Lockwood processed the marriage certificate without Evelyn’s knowledge.
The rest, Caden Lockwood didn’t say much.
But hearing Logan makes Julian feel like there’s sothing more complicated involved.
At that mont, Cecilia rushes back and suddenly stops when she sees Julian at her doorstep, her face turning pale.
Julian looks at Cecilia and walks towards her, speaking coldly, "Don’t associate with that man."
Then he strides away.
Cecilia is dazed for quite a while. Facing Logan’s scrutiny, she awkwardly smiles, takes out her keys, unlocks the door, and lets Logan carry Evelyn to the bed.
"This girl, how much did she drink to get this drunk?" Cecilia’s tone is full of concern, "Why does she always like to cry after drinking?"
Logan looks down, does Evelyn cry every ti she drinks?
Then... isn’t she crying for Caden Lockwood?
Realizing there’s soone else in the house, Cecilia quickly looks at Logan and asks awkwardly, "Uh... do you... want so water?"
"No thanks." Logan shakes his head, "I guess Evelyn will sleep for a while before waking up. Is there anything to eat at ho? I’ll make sothing for her; she’ll definitely be hungry when she wakes up."
Cecilia scrutinizes Logan, asking, "You... can cook?"
She heard from Evelyn that Logan might be that mysterious older brother who never ets anyone.
This is Cecilia’s first ti seeing Logan, and now it seems true that he’s the kind of man you’d fall for at first sight!
However, Caden Lockwood isn’t bad either!
Cecilia ponders; choosing between these two n is indeed difficult.
