Evelyn Morgan deeply regretted.
Why did she say those things?
Not a single word was true!
She instinctively grabbed her phone, wanting to call Caden Lockwood. Although her mind was in a ss and she didn’t know what to say, she had to at least say "I’m sorry"!
Whether it would be a storm or a tornado next, she would leave it up to him!
Before Evelyn Morgan could dial the number, Cecilia Lynch woke up and softly asked, "Are you okay? Does your head hurt?"
Feeling like she was committing a shocking cri, Evelyn Morgan quickly hid her phone behind her.
Her heart pounded wildly, and upon eting Cecilia Lynch’s concerned gaze, she let out a long sigh of relief.
"What bad thing were you doing?" Cecilia Lynch chuckled, "Give the phone; let take a look!"
"What do you an!" Evelyn lowered her eyes, hiding her guilt, and changed the topic: "Cece, how did I end up here?"
"Logan Shaw brought you," Cecilia Lynch explained, "Shall we get up? Whatever you want to say, you can say while we eat. I’m starving!"
"There’s food?" Evelyn touched her stomach, which was empty.
She hugged Cecilia Lynch tightly, delighting, "Cece, you’re so great, just like the River Fairy descended to the world! Marry , will you? We could spend our lives together happily!"
"It’s not who prepared it; it was Logan Shaw," Cecilia Lynch rolled her eyes, "Selling yourself out for a al—you really are cheap, aren’t you?"
"Then...where is he?" Evelyn was a bit dazed, "I didn’t see him!"
Her mind was still foggy, unable to handle complex thoughts.
"You were snoring away in bed, so he naturally had to leave," Cecilia Lynch teased with a smirk, "What, you find botherso, planning to let him do sothing with you while you’re drunk? If you want, you should give so hints! Or else, should I call him back, and you continue to pretend to be drunk?"
"What are you talking about!" Evelyn quickly grabbed Cecilia Lynch, preventing her from calling, "Stop teasing! My relationship with him isn’t what you think!"
"You..." Cecilia Lynch looked Evelyn up and down, then asked in surprise, "Don’t love him anymore?"
Evelyn froze, then sighed as she spoke: "I’m not sure if he’s really like an older brother."
Seeing Evelyn’s troubled expression, Cecilia Lynch turned serious.
"Evelyn, there’s always been a question I’ve wanted to ask you."
"Hmm?"
"Aside from his role as a big brother, you’ve spent ti with both Logan Shaw and Caden Lockwood. Who do you feel happier and more at ease with?" Cecilia Lynch asked.
Upon hearing this, Evelyn’s eyes widened, filled with confusion as she recalled the scenes with Caden Lockwood.
From their first eting to getting to know each other, and then becoming familiar, so many things had happened.
It seed like she naturally thought that as long as she was with Caden Lockwood, she would feel safe.
Seeing Evelyn deep in thought, Cecilia Lynch gently nudged her and softly said, "Psychologically speaking, the man you think of now is the one you truly love."
"No way!" Evelyn reacted by shaking her head vehently.
She likes Caden Lockwood?
What an international joke!
Aside from bullying her every single day and forcing her to pay him back, what else could he do?
She must have had her head squeezed by a door if she liked him!
Her beautiful face was full of panic, Evelyn retorted incredulously, "I’ve spent more ti with Uncle, so it’s normal I thought of him just now. I wouldn’t..."
"So, the person you just thought of was Caden Lockwood!" Cecilia Lynch grinned mischievously, giving Evelyn a knowing look, and asked suggestively, "Haven’t you realized that you don’t mind him popping into your life anyti?"
