"Not at all." Evelyn rolled her eyes. "Uncle, don’t flatter yourself! You’re handso, but when I look at Mr. Keaton and Logan Shaw, I realize... you’re not so rare!"
As she spoke, her heart pounded wildly, her speech speeding up unconsciously. A blush lingered on her cheeks and refused to fade away.
Caden Lockwood raised an eyebrow, speaking fiercely, "You’re comparing to them?"
Suddenly, he flipped over, pinning Evelyn beneath him.
His arms were propped up beside her ears, his gaze hazy yet warm, luring her to et his eyes, binding them together inextricably.
Caden’s smile deepened, and the arrogant, domineering aura that surged around him completely enveloped Evelyn, indulgently wicked.
She watched him warily, her amber eyes reflecting deep unease, worried about what he might do that she couldn’t handle right now.
Caden grasped Evelyn’s hand, as if performing a magic trick, he pulled out the two rings and put the woman’s ring back on her hand.
"Your turn." He spoke softly, handing her the man’s ring.
Evelyn widened her eyes in surprise, "You... the ring?"
Didn’t he throw it on the lawn?
She had spent so long searching for it!
Caden raised an eyebrow, his eyes filled with deep aning.
At that ti, he had intended to throw the ring away in his rage, but ultimately couldn’t bring himself to do it and kept it clutched in his palm.
"Aren’t you going to put it on for ?" Caden spoke without a pleasant tone.
Evelyn quickly complied, then looked at the ring back on her finger, feeling sweet inside.
Without it, she always felt like sothing was missing.
Now that the ring was back, she felt complete again.
"Didn’t I say that no matter what happens, you can’t take it off?" Caden scolded, "You’ve made a mistake. How should you be punished?"
"That’s because you said you had a girlfriend, and I suddenly received divorce papers, so I..." She whispered a retort, her cheeks growing hotter with embarrassnt.
Why did she always entangle herself in that topic with him?
It made her seem like she cared if he had other won.
"Then I was wrong! My dear wife, I’m willing to be punished," Caden’s eyes flashed with deep aning as he spoke. "Punish by making an effort to make you happy, by loving you tenderly every day, how about that?"
The "lovingly" coming from his lips had already taken on a different aning.
Evelyn pushed Caden away, hugging the blankets tightly, exclaiming, "Shaless!"
"I’m just trying to touch my own wife." Caden wouldn’t give up, pulling Evelyn back into his arms, sounding aggrieved, "Wife, if you keep holding back, sothing of mine is going to break."
"Stop talking!" Evelyn covered her face with her hands, "You... you’re shaless!"
Caden laughed even more joyfully.
Sotis, Evelyn’s actions were just too adorable!
Grasping her hand, revealing her little face, she kept her eyes tightly shut, not daring to look at him.
"Evelyn."
Evelyn’s whole body shuddered heavily, Caden’s words echoed in her ears.
The room was quiet, so quiet they could hear each other’s breathing, the gentle warmth falling on her cheeks, very comfortable.
She slightly opened her eyes, mustered the courage to et his gaze, looking at the seriousness between his brows, she shrank timidly into the bed, lightly biting her lip, her palms sweating from nervousness.
