Evelyn and Caden Lockwood exchanged glances, both curious about what’s on the DV.
Especially Evelyn, she was utterly confused, not understanding what videos of hers could be shown to Caden.
Turning on the DV, the fast-forward images showed Evelyn on the lawn outside the villa looking for the ring.
She was limping, inspecting each clump of grass carefully, her expression anxious and sorrowful, sweating profusely, evoking sympathy from anyone who watched.
Evelyn froze, instinctively reaching to grab the DV.
Caden was quicker, moving his hand away, glancing at Evelyn but staying silent, eyes returning to the DV.
"Turn it off!" Evelyn cried out anxiously, "That’s not !"
Caden chuckled softly, the images continued, transitioning to the company.
In the footage, Evelyn was on the company rooftop, searching each office to find the president’s office, her unwavering resolve and deep worry palpable even through the screen.
Sothing lightly stirred in Caden’s heart, the smile between his brows grew, warmth enveloped his presence.
This silly girl, acting strong in front of him, but behind his back, she cared for him this much?
He was at fault.
He’s caused her grievance.
"Why is there this?" Evelyn was on the brink of losing it, "It’s not like that... I... I wasn’t looking for a ring at the ti, nor was I searching for your office later, I was just..."
Before she could finish, Caden turned around, capturing Evelyn’s lips.
The passionate kiss unfolded in the car, romantic and fiery, lips and teeth colliding in ambiguous warmth.
Evelyn squird uncooperatively.
She kept in mind, there were others in the car!
Caden, however, ignored them, deeply kissing Evelyn until she could barely breathe, then reluctantly giving her jade-like earlobe gentle kisses.
"Silly." His voice carried deep joy, "Erin Morgan, you’re my woman, and you’ll never escape!"
Evelyn’s face blushed, both scared, anxious, embarrassed, and sweet.
How did he, without a hitch, decide her fate for life?
She hasn’t even agreed yet!
Isn’t he going to ask her opinion?
Embracing Evelyn, Caden said nothing more, savoring the tranquility of her presence, his handso face was unusually gentle.
The car stopped at the lunch restaurant, Caden opened the door, intending to carry Evelyn out.
"I can walk myself!" Evelyn protested.
"You’re done wanting your foot?" Caden’s brows knitted, "It’s already swollen like that, still running around, can’t find , don’t know how to call ?"
Evelyn blushed, pretending as if she didn’t understand what he was saying.
Otherwise, how should she face him!
Besides, at that ti she just wanted to sneak a peek at him, not disturb his rest, how could she possibly call him?
Whether Evelyn wanted or not, Caden forcibly carried her out, heading into the lunch place.
Under the scrutiny of passersby, Evelyn gritted her teeth, unable to resist Caden, she could only hide her face from view.
Inside the restaurant, it was just the two of them, even Sean Ashton didn’t co in.
Sitting on the stool, with only Caden to face, Evelyn wasn’t too flustered.
"Why did we co here?" She asked curiously.
After asking, she seed to understand a bit.
A faint blush crept up her cheeks, her eyes glimred softly, the corners of her lips curved into a gentle smile.
"Now this place, belongs to you." Caden said lightly, a trace of redness inadvertently climbed onto his face.
