Upon hearing Caden Lockwood’s words, Evelyn Morgan’s eyes widened instantly, and all her sleepiness was scared away.
Are you kidding ?
First thing in the morning, just after waking up, I’m going to be eaten?
"Uncle!" she exclaid, "No!"
Caden furrowed his brows, "Why not?"
If it weren’t for his sudden headache yesterday, they would have already done what needed to be done!
"I..." Evelyn was tongue-tied.
Not wanting ans unwilling, do I really need to find a reason?
"Don’t be afraid." Caden reassured softly, "I promise, it won’t hurt."
"No!" Evelyn panicked, holding onto Caden’s hand tightly, "Uncle, please don’t! You promised to respect my feelings!"
"Your feelings?" Caden’s eyes flashed with deep dissatisfaction, "Are you going to have a day when you’re suddenly in a great mood and tell you’re willing to dedicate yourself?"
Evelyn gazed intently, her expression becoming awkward.
Is Caden just... talking nonsense?
"You don’t have the courage, so I have to take the initiative." Caden seed to speak in a regretful tone, "Be good, it won’t hurt much the first ti, I’ll be gentle."
"First ti?" Evelyn was stunned for a mont and imdiately asked, "How is this the first ti? Haven’t we already..."
Caden was taken aback.
He had made such a low-level mistake, instinctively speaking the truth.
He had forgotten his initial deception, claiming that he had already taken her first ti.
Evelyn’s expression changed, recalling her doubt at the ti that she hadn’t been touched by him.
Now, it swept over her again.
Grabbing Caden’s collar, Evelyn exclaid, "You lied to ? That day I never seduced you, and we didn’t actually have a relationship, did we?"
Caden pursed his thin lips lightly, and the smile on his face gradually diminished.
Suddenly, he wasn’t sure if he should cover up the lie.
Perhaps, telling the truth to her might be better.
After all, she would eventually find out she’s still untouched.
As soon as they have contact in that aspect, the evidence on the sheets will expose him.
"Speak!" Evelyn was both anxious and angry, "I want to hear the truth!"
Caden was helpless, considering the best way to tell the truth to calm her down.
Seeing how much she cared, he actually started to panic.
Panic about not daring to tell the truth.
Panic about losing her.
"Tell !" Evelyn stared into Caden’s eyes, "Nothing happened between us, right? From the start, this was your plan? What was your purpose in marrying ?"
"Please calm down." Caden softly reassured, "So things are very complicated, I..."
After hesitating for a while, he continued, "But I promise, I had no bad intentions."
"No bad intentions?" Evelyn scoffed with a smile, "You deceived by saying I seduced you while drunk, lied to that you were a cowherd, made repay you money every day, and suddenly sent a marriage certificate to make your wife."
Sniffling, she said resentfully, "You destroyed my original life, made afraid to continue liking the person I truly love, and now you tell you had no bad intentions? Do you find it fun playing with this way?"
"The person you love?" Caden’s handso face darkened, "Who is it?"
"Now I’m the one asking you!" Evelyn roared, eyes glistening with tears, "Don’t lie to , did anything happen between us physically or not?"
As soon as she finished speaking, she continued, "Answer , and if you lie, I’ll be hit by a car as soon as I step out!"
