"I..." Evelyn stamred, "I want..."
Caden Lockwood raised an eyebrow, waiting for Evelyn to continue speaking.
"Well..." Evelyn clenched her fists tightly, mustering the courage to speak, "I now realize we haven’t actually had a relationship, so sharing the sa bed feels inappropriate. Therefore, I’ll sleep in the guest room instead?"
Upon hearing Evelyn’s words, Caden’s eyebrows furrowed slightly.
Looking at her, there was a flash of deep displeasure in his eyes.
"What if I don’t allow it?" Caden said coldly.
"Why?" Evelyn panicked, "We’re clearly..."
"You’ve been sleeping with for so long, and now, suddenly, just because you’ve discovered sothing, you want to sleep separately—that’s not a suitable reason." Caden’s tone was calm, yet his presence was enough to completely shatter Evelyn’s thoughts.
"So mistakes need to be corrected promptly!" Evelyn rolled her eyes, "How can you continue a mistake once you realize it?"
"Sleeping together isn’t actually a mistake!" Caden raised his eyebrow, "The fact that we’re still at zero contact is the real mistake!"
Evelyn felt helpless, thinking that her and Caden Lockwood’s minds definitely didn’t operate on the sa wavelength.
"You’re my wife." Caden repeated this sentence for the nth ti, "By the way, I suddenly rembered..."
"What?"
Evelyn shrank back, feeling that the light in Caden’s eyes at that mont wasn’t entirely well-intentioned.
"You’ve always rejected , but deep down, it’s against your true wishes, right? After all, you’re not that open-minded. In your heart, you hope for the thrill of resisting while secretly wishing I’d be more assertive and just take you, so you can act coy." The more Caden spoke, the brighter his eyes beca, as if this was the undeniable truth.
"..."
"But I’ve been so gentle, not forcing myself on you—isn’t that disappointing?" Caden asked.
"No way!" Evelyn shouted, her cheeks flushing red.
"Feeling guilty?" Caden approached Evelyn, "Evelyn, I’ve finally realized what you truly think inside."
Evelyn’s pupils trembled with shock, involuntarily shrinking back.
Her strength seed to have left her body all of a sudden, and every step backward consud all her energy.
As he drew closer, her heart beat faster; her hands instinctively clenched into fists, confused about what to do next.
Caden pressed forward, his eyes reflecting two small images of Evelyn, his throat inexplicably dry.
That surge of heat attacked him from within, draining every drop of moisture in his body, making him eager to find sweetness from hers for relief.
"I will pin you on the bed, watching your uneasy eyes, tear off your clothes, lower my head, kiss your collarbone, and hear you gasp softly, saying ’don’t’ weakly by my ear. Then I’ll pin you against the wall, watching your flushed face..."
"Stop it!" Evelyn trembled all over, "You, you have no sha!"
"Evelyn." Caden quieted his voice, "You and I were both born through that shaless process."
Evelyn widened her eyes, realizing she had been cornered by Caden.
His chest pressed firmly against her with overwhelming dominance, and his earlier words echoed around her, making her feel hot.
Isn’t the air conditioning on?
Why is it so hot?
"Evelyn, check and see if I’m lying." As soon as he finished speaking, he leaned in and kissed her crimson lips.
