"Evelyn Morgan." The woman suddenly called out, "I am Caden’s mother."
Upon hearing this, Evelyn’s feet suddenly stopped.
Her eyes widened at the woman, montarily panicking, unsure of how to respond.

She didn’t possess any angry or cold arrogance, her refined features were unsmiling, and her gaze, despite its tenderness, felt overwhelming and oppressive, making anyone think twice.
Holding her breath, Evelyn, faced with Caden’s parents, finally understood why he always carried an inherent chilliness.
"I have business with you," Lily Thorne commanded, "Let’s go to the café opposite and talk."
Evelyn blinked at the woman claiming to be Caden’s mother, unsure whether to trust her.

"What?" Lily looked at Evelyn, "Don’t believe ?"
Evelyn stood there, neither moving nor staying still, her entire body stiff.
Her mouth shut tight, even speaking felt like an enormous challenge.
Lily took out her phone, dialed, and coldly said: "I want to chat with my daughter-in-law, but she won’t even get in my car. Caden, is this how you teach your wife to respect her elders?"
After speaking, Lily handed the phone to Evelyn.
Evelyn didn’t dare take the phone, staring at Lily, still completely dazed.
Lily’s patience wore thin, so she pressed the speakerphone button, saying coldly: "Caden, do you think mom would do anything to your precious wife?"
