After asking, Logan suddenly beca very nervous.
All the hairs on his body stood up as he listened intently to Evelyn Morgan’s response.
Evelyn blinked, looking at Logan, still in a daze.
Want a divorce?
She surprisingly blurted out a two-word answer without any hesitation: No!
However, wanting sothing seems beyond her control.
Whether to divorce is entirely up to Caden Lockwood!
Evelyn’s eyes beca particularly dim, and her face grew more sorrowful.
Lowering her head, she looked at the wedding ring on her finger, feeling a deep sense of helplessness, lost and not knowing what to do.
"What’s wrong?" Logan asked worriedly, "Evelyn, don’t be sad. Whatever your decision is, I will support you."
Taking a deep breath, Evelyn looked up at Logan, then smiled gently and asked, "So... can you really solve the money issue?"
"I can." Logan replied firmly, "Rest assured, the best two seats are reserved for you and Cecilia Lynch."
Evelyn couldn’t help but take out the check from her pocket, looking at it, inexplicably finding it funny.
"I’ve tried to give it away twice today, and neither ti was successful." Evelyn shrugged, muttering, "I feel like everyone has a lot to do, yet I am very idle."
"Then think about what you want to do in the future," Logan said softly, "When you have a goal to strive for, you can work hard towards it, and you won’t feel bored anymore."
Evelyn nodded, but before she could reply, a familiar coldness swept over her.
She shuddered violently, looked up, and indeed saw Caden Lockwood walking towards her step by step.
His black suit exuded a cold and forbidding aura, and his handso face displayed a daunting nace. With every step Caden took, the anger around him intensified.
He specifically went ho once to find that Evelyn was not there.
He located her whereabouts and discovered that she was with Logan.
And on the table was the check he had given Evelyn!
Ha!
He thought he had misunderstood her!
But seeing this scene before him, how could he still trust her?
Evelyn followed Caden’s gaze to the check, her body trembling slightly. Rembering Logan’s advice, her face turned pale instantly.
Damn it!
Could it be that Caden has misunderstood?
Looking at Caden’s angry deanor, Evelyn opened her mouth to explain, but not a word could co out.
She didn’t know what she was afraid of or what she was stubborn about. It felt like a heavy stone was lodged in her chest, making it hard to breathe.
Caden sat directly beside Evelyn, pulling her into his arms with one hand and picking up the check with the other, his lips curling into a humorless smirk.
Glancing at Logan, then at Evelyn, Caden coldly opened his lips: "Cecilia Lynch wouldn’t happen to be on her way again, would she?"
He still rembered last ti, he misunderstood in a similar way.
Logan looked at Evelyn in Caden’s arms. When he asked if she wanted a divorce, she hadn’t answered him.
"Cecilia didn’t co." Logan said softly, "I had sothing to discuss with Evelyn, so I only invited her out for dinner."
"What matter is so important that you needed to have dinner alone with my wife, and wouldn’t invite along?" Caden’s tone was full of pressure, "Could this dinner possibly require a million-dollar check to pay for it?"
