The next three days, Evelyn did not see Caden Lockwood, the house felt empty, always feeling like sothing was missing.

Upon Sean’s explanation, Evelyn rely smiled casually, understanding deep down, not delving further.
Sitting on the office chair, looking at the empty office, Evelyn’s eyes reddened again.
Before, whenever she looked in, she could see Caden.
Almost always, he would look up and et her gaze, then she’d anxiously retract her gaze.
But now, he had never shown up.
Evelyn didn’t understand, if Caden truly felt nothing for her, why could he pamper her so much?
Yet evidently, no matter how she thought about it, that girl must be his true love!
Feeling disgusted by herself for dwelling on soone who had already died by jumping off a building.
She knew that now Caden must be super sad.
After all, the woman he loved was dead.

Why does she shed tears uncontrollably at the thought of him being sad?
Clearly, she could have guarded her heart and body like before, ready for a divorce at any mont, seeking freedom again.

Sniffling, Evelyn quickly wiped her tears, not wanting to appear too miserable.
Cecilia Lynch ran up and happened to see Evelyn wiping her tears.

"I’ll treat!" Cecilia chuckled, "I should be getting a decent paycheck this month."
Evelyn looked down, "So envious."
She knew, Cecilia certainly wouldn’t disappoint!
"Let’s go now!" Cecilia suggested, "Though it’s half an hour till the end of our shift, we don’t need to clock out anyway. I haven’t skipped classes, so can’t I skip work once?"
