"Once you reconcile with Evelyn, if I still haven’t found Cece, rember to be discreet with your affection," Julian Keaton warned, "otherwise, I will kidnap Evelyn and not let you find her!"
"Why don’t you just kidnap us together?" Caden Lockwood seed to have found a good idea, "In tis of danger, if I save her, she’ll definitely calm down."
"Tch!" Julian Keaton rolled his eyes at Caden Lockwood with disdain, "Caden, can you be any more childish!"
Then, Julian Keaton murmured, "How about this, once I find out where Cece is, you send soone to kidnap her, and then I’ll rescue her. She’ll definitely be so grateful she’ll stay by my side, how ’bout that?"
"Who’s being childish now?" Caden Lockwood retorted with equal disdain towards Julian Keaton, not wanting to engage with him any further, and continued drinking in silence.
Under the night sky, the two n drank one bottle after another, from a few bottles initially, to over a dozen, and eventually, a few cases...
When Caden Lockwood woke up, daylight had already fully broken.
He and Julian Keaton had been so wild; after getting drunk last night, they even had soone casually set up two tents on the grass and just fell asleep like that.
Upon exiting the tent, the first person Caden Lockwood saw was Shannon Dunn.
Shannon Dunn was holding two breakfasts and two cups of hangover tea.
"The Chairman asked to bring these," Shannon Dunn said softly, "He wanted to tell you that since things have already happened, he hopes you can make the right choice."
Caden Lockwood didn’t respond, evidently showing no interest in the things Shannon Dunn brought.
He was missing the breakfasts that Evelyn Morgan used to make for him!
If only he had woken up at ho at this mont, how nice would that be!
Why hadn’t he just pretended to be drunk and gone ho last night?
Seeing Caden Lockwood completely ignoring her, Shannon Dunn maintained a faint smile on her face.
"Mr. Lockwood," Shannon Dunn continued, "you really should eat breakfast, especially after a hangover..."
"Don’t think that just because you’re my dad’s person, you have the right to talk to ," Caden Lockwood interrupted Shannon Dunn coldly, his gaze sharp as he looked at her.
Shannon Dunn took a deep breath, her smile becoming a bit resigned.
"I rember, Mr. Lockwood used to treat as a friend," Shannon Dunn’s voice was very soft, "but now, it seems I’ve beco an enemy."
"You know very well whether you’re an enemy," Caden Lockwood said harshly, "I don’t act against you not because I can’t, but because even if I get rid of you, my dad will just find soone else to replace you. I don’t like getting entangled with small fries; I know who I should target and resolve."
Listening to the sarcasm in Caden Lockwood’s words, Shannon Dunn’s complexion turned sowhat unsightly.
Standing there for a mont, Shannon Dunn took a deep breath and her composure returned as usual.
"If I’ve offended Mr. Lockwood in working for the Chairman, I ask for your pardon," Shannon Dunn lowered her gaze, looking at the DV in her hands, and softly added, "This is also sothing the Chairman wanted to give to you. Personally, I think it’s best if you don’t watch it."
With those words, Shannon Dunn handed over the breakfast and the DV to Caden Lockwood, then turned and left.
At this mont, Julian Keaton leisurely walked out.
Glancing at the back of Shannon Dunn, Julian Keaton looked at Caden Lockwood and teased, "Seems like soone’s planted a ti bomb!"
Caden Lockwood glared at Julian Keaton, his gaze falling on the DV, his brows tightly knitted, face cold and dark.
"Are you going to watch it?" Julian Keaton asked eagerly, as if afraid of a lack of chaos, "If not, let’s go have breakfast! I wouldn’t dare eat anything Miss Dunn sent; I’m afraid it might be laced with slow-acting poison."
