"Do you know him?" Evelyn hurriedly asked Logan Shaw, "Who is he?"

"I don’t know him." Logan Shaw shook his head. "He called earlier, before I ca, and said so strange things."

"Mm." Evelyn replied, "He used to contact , saying he was called ’L’. At the ti, I didn’t know who he was, but because he was a stranger, sotis I ended up chatting with him a bit."
"Evelyn." Logan Shaw looked astonished, "Is your wariness really that low?"
"I don’t know." Evelyn sighed, "But whenever I chatted with him, there was an indescribable sense of familiarity, as if he wouldn’t harm ."
Lowering her gaze, Evelyn looked dejected between her brows, "Now that I think about it carefully, I find myself very odd as well. How could I trust soone so easily? Fortunately, we didn’t discuss any secrets, sotis it was just venting when I was feeling down, treating him like a psychological counselor."
"Regardless of whether being Mrs. Lockwood was your intention or not, you already have that identity, so you can’t afford to be careless, understand?" Logan Shaw reminded.
Seeing Logan Shaw’s serious expression, Evelyn nodded softly.

Her tone was helpless, dejected, and confused, as her gaze fell onto the ring at the tip of her finger, its glow offering her a faint comfort.
"Don’t worry too much." Logan Shaw reassured, "As your husband, Caden Lockwood has the responsibility and duty to take care of you. Even if he can’t, you have us friends."
Evelyn nodded, wanting to speak, yet sealing everything at her throat.
Thinking of Logan Shaw as the big brother, she couldn’t face him as she did before with composure.
