"I know," Logan Shaw said lightly.
"You know?" Evelyn was sowhat confused, "How... do you know?"
Logan chuckled softly and explained gently, "If you were his wife, how could you have had such a surprised expression when he introduced you?"
"You observe... so carefully!" Evelyn felt a bit embarrassed, "Not like , all clumsy."
"You’re sincere," Logan’s tone was filled with earnestness, "Evelyn, even though this is our first eting, you’re a good girl."
Listening to Logan’s praise, Evelyn’s cheeks felt warmly flushed.
She thought, even if she hadn’t left much impression in Logan’s mind before, at least now, he rembered her!
"You truly are perfectly flawless!" Evelyn blurted out, "Handso, good-tempered, and your piano playing sounds wonderful! You’re so perfect, almost like a deity."
"There is no perfect person in the world," Logan said deeply, "You think I am good now, but it’s only because you don’t know well enough yet."
"Even after knowing you, I believe you’d still be wonderful!" Evelyn quickly responded.
Logan couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
He was surprised to find that he seed to be easily amused by Evelyn, even though she hadn’t intended to make him laugh.
"It’s getting late, you should rest," Logan said softly, "Next ti there’s a concert, I’ll invite you to watch it together."
"Great!" Evelyn agreed readily, "Feel free to contact anyti, I’m always available!"
After saying that, she felt her intentions were too obvious and quickly added, "I an... I’m a sophomore now, so I have fewer classes, which leaves with more free ti."
"Hmm," Logan replied, "I went abroad when I was very young and haven’t made many friends since returning, so I’m currently unemployed with quite a bit of free ti."
Evelyn nodded.
No wonder the older brother hadn’t appeared before her until now; he had gone abroad!
The years-long anxiety in her heart about the older brother not wanting to see her disappeared at this mont; she smiled shyly, and after they exchanged goodnight wishes, they ended the call.
The warmth of the older brother’s gentle laughter seed to linger in her ear; Evelyn got up, ran to Kiki’s side, leaned against its soft body, and petted its smooth, clean fur.
"Kiki, judging by the older brother’s tone, it seems he doesn’t have a girlfriend yet!"
"Woof..."
"The older brother is now friends with !"
"Woof woof..."
"Can I... have so dreams about him? It’s not like a toad wishing to eat swan at, right?"
"Woof woof woof..."
Evelyn smiled, her eyes curved like crescent moons, looking stunningly beautiful.
...
The sunshine in life seed to have returned to her; Evelyn was as thrilled as an early-rising little bird, brimming with energy.
On her way to class, she deliberately passed by the music room, only seeing two art students practicing piano inside, a fleeting disappointnt crossed her eyes, but soon she displayed a joyful smile.
What she needs to do now is to beco more outstanding.
At least, to narrow the gap between her and Logan.
When you work hard at everything, naturally you get hungry quickly.
Thinking she hadn’t seen Cecilia for several days, and having t the older brother with such good news, she absolutely had to find soone to share it with.
She made a call to invite her, and Cecilia gladly agreed to have a al together.
When the two sisters gathered, their heart-to-heart talk was inevitable.
Evelyn’s face was always filled with excitent and delight, with a touch of mystery; she cleared her throat and announced loudly, "I think... I’ve found the older brother!"
