Evelyn Morgan was utterly dumbfounded. In such a situation where everyone was watching her, if she denied being Mrs. Lockwood, it would only lead to endless complications and make her a laughingstock.
Since this was an issue between her and Caden Lockwood, she decided to resolve it privately with him.
Leaving the banquet hall, she shook off Caden Lockwood’s hand and urgently asked, "Uncle, what exactly are you aiming for? Even if you don’t want to marry Eleanor Keaton, you didn’t need to drag into this!"
The only reason she could think of for Caden Lockwood’s actions was that he was using her as a pawn to refuse the marriage.
