"Still quite far from finished!"

Walking into the store under renovation, Ou Jingtian glanced around and frowned.

The reason for his angry frown was that he discovered the store renovation was still incomplete, and the place was a complete ss. It was nothing like the tidy completion he had imagined.

The assistant following beside Ou Jingtian heard his cold complaint and quickly explained, "Manager, although it seems quite far from finished, it’s truly much, much better than before. We will certainly have everything done by the end of today."

"Hope so!"

Ou Jingtian spoke indifferently, withdrew his gaze, and walked towards the second floor with a face full of indifference.

The assistant wanted to follow him but temporarily gave up.

After Ou Jingtian went upstairs, the assistant walked over to the workers with a grim expression and shouted, "What’s going on with you guys? Didn’t I say it before? It must be completed today, why is there still so much left?"

Hearing this hysterical complaint, all their faces grew sullen.

They hated this trash in front of them because this Kenghuo kept shortening their tiline again and again.

From one month to half a month to one week, and finally down to five days.

This shortening of the tiline doubled their workload trendously, so they really hated this Kenghuo.

"Why isn’t anyone saying anything? Are you all mute?"

Receiving no response, he frowned again and spoke impatiently.

Knowing they had no choice but to speak now, they sighed and started pouring out their complaints.

"It’s not that we don’t want to speak; we’re just too exhausted. We haven’t had a proper rest for a long ti!"

"That’s right!"

Already annoyed, he heard these people complaining and roared, "Stop with the useless talk. Just tell if it can be finished today or not!"

"If we work harder, we should be able to finish today, but I must remind you, the schedule is too rushed, and such rushed work will result in much poorer quality. So, there’s really likely to be problems later on!"

They were conscientious workers.

So they wanted to give a heads up...

Hearing their sincere advice, he thought they were being evasive.

He frowned deeply and shouted disdainfully, "Stop with the useless talk. We’re using the best materials. How can it be poor quality? Hurry up and finish the renovation. If it’s not done today, you won’t get a penny."

"Alright, we’ll do our best!"

"Mm!"

Nodding slightly, he left with a gloomy expression.

...

"Foreman, this trash really is disgusting!"

"Right! Really not treating us like human beings!"

Hearing their angry words, the foreman waved a hand lightly and said, "Alright, let’s get back to work. We’ve given our warning, and what it turns into in the end isn’t our concern."

"Okay!"

Upon hearing the foreman’s reminder, they quickly got back to work. At this mont, they couldn’t wait to finish quickly so they could leave this godforsaken place and finally get a good rest.

After quickly running up to the second floor, the assistant saw Ou Jingtian standing by the window, "Manager, I just asked, everything will be completed today!"

Saying that, he waited for Ou Jingtian’s response but didn’t get one.

"What does this an?"

Muttering this, he quickly followed Ou Jingtian’s gaze out the window and only then noticed Hu Xiaobei and Shangguan Xue walking hand in hand towards them.

"Those two bastards! Manager, you wait. I’ll find soone to drive them away imdiately."

Hearing this suggestion, Ou Jingtian sneered, "Drive them away? They’re right across the street, how are you going to drive them away?"

"Then what should we do?"

"What else can we do? Go and see what they want. Avoidance is always the inferior choice!"

Responding like this, Ou Jingtian walked downstairs with a face as cold as water.

Seeing Ou Jingtian go down, the assistant took a deep breath and quickly followed.

He knew Ou Jingtian was right; there’s no avoiding it, so it’s better to face it directly...

...

"Looks like the renovation is nearing completion!"

Entering the store, Hu Xiaobei glanced around and spoke softly.

"Indeed!"

Shangguan Xue, who ca with Hu Xiaobei, heard his assessnt, carefully scanned the surroundings and nodded lightly.

She noticed the renovation here was nearly finished, but also the workers were nearly exhausted.

"They’re really inhumane!"

Making this comnt, Shangguan Xue heard a cold voice, "Oh my, what wind blew you here? Was it a tornado?"

Glancing at Ou Jingtian, Shangguan Xue spoke indifferently, "It’s impolite not to reciprocate; you ca to my place before, so it’s only normal for us to co here and have a look, right?"

"Indeed! Have you seen enough now? If so, get lost. You’re not welco here."

Hu Xiaobei gave Ou Jingtian a glance and smiled faintly, "No way! We’re colleagues, we should communicate well. I see your store is about to open, and I’m really good at coming up with nas. How about I give you one?"

"No need!"

"How about ’Money-Losing Goods’? It’s simple and morable."

"Is there sothing wrong with your ears? Didn’t I make it clear enough before? I don’t need it. Keep that na for yourself."

"It’s okay, use it if you like, I won’t charge you!"

"You..."

Ou Jingtian trembled with rage.

"Tomorrow, my new store opens, and then I’ll make you regret it!"

Leaving such a grandiose threat, Ou Jingtian quickly turned and walked away.

He didn’t want to leave in such a sullen manner, but he had to, for he realized his verbal sparring skills were no match for Hu Xiaobei.

"I’ll be waiting for tomorrow then, by the way, should I keep that na for you?"

He almost stumbled hearing that taunt from a distance.

Seeing the car drive away swiftly, Hu Xiaobei turned to Shangguan Xue, "I bet that guy needs so cooling dicine."

"It’s not just cooling dicine he needs; I think he needs so hypotensive drugs. His blood pressure must have shot up quite a bit in that short ti."

Shangguan Xue glanced at Hu Xiaobei, smiling lightly.

She knew Ou Jingtian very well, knowing he’s an exceedingly petty person, so she realized he’d be sleepless tonight after going back.

Smiling, Hu Xiaobei spoke calmly, "Alright, let’s head back! Although Ou Jingtian might be sowhat inexperienced, he does have backup. We might not take him seriously, but we can’t ignore the person supporting him, right?"

"Right!"

Hearing Hu Xiaobei’s words, Shangguan Xue’s expression turned serious...
