Wei San quickly pulled out Huang Jinkai’s cha. She was familiar with it, having entered Ying Xingjue’s cha cabin before.
“Here you go.” Wei San pinched the dough and pushed it in front of Ying Xingjue.
“Thank you.” Ying Xingjue was taken aback, then reached out and picked up the small clay model of the cha in front of him, looking down at it.
Although it’s made of clay, every part exudes smooth lines, exquisite, yet still retaining the sharpness of cha.
Even…… the cha bay can be opened.
Wei San made four more clay chas, but the later chs only had exteriors and no cha compartnts that could be opened.
“Do you guys want one?” Wei San picked up the finished clay cha and threw it from Ji Chuyu next to him all the way to Zongzheng Yueren, who was furthest away. Everyone received their own cha model.
The four of them looked down at the clay chas in their hands, a strange feeling creeping into their hearts.
They had never seen their chs from this angle before; they looked…… kind of cute.
“Knock knock knock——”
There was a knock on the door.
Quinley Eli went over and opened the door.
It was the Ninth Military Region team responsible for patrolling the entire building.
“Did she just give sothing to the people downstairs without permission?” The other person pointed at Wei San without any politeness and asked the other soldiers in the room.
“Sir, I didn’t see it,” Quinley Eli said, tucking her fingers behind her back.
Upon hearing Quinley Eli’s words, the other party asked the other three soldiers again: “Really?”
“Yes,” Ji Chuyu was the second to speak.
Wei San, with her back to the door, raised an eyebrow at Ji Chuyu. She hadn’t expected him to speak up for her.
“……I don’t want to see anyone neglecting their duties, otherwise the task of guarding Ying Xingjue will still be handed over to us.” The Ninth District officer said this before closing the door.
Once everyone left, Wei San whistled and thanked the people in the room.
“Let’s confirm the ti for the night watch,” Zongzheng Yueren said, bringing the conversation back on track.
After the group divided up their watch duties, they turned off the lights and rested, leaving only two watchn still awake.
In the latter half of the night, Wei San didn’t lie on the sofa this ti, but instead laid down on the floor next to the bed and closed her eyes to rest.
She wasn’t completely asleep; she could imdiately get up and stand by the bed at the slightest sound.
……
The night grew deeper.
In the darkness, Ying Xingjue slowly opened his eyes and looked at Wei San, who was sleeping with her eyes closed on the floor. He really didn’t know what had happened during the ti he was missing.
He woke up to find himself in a pool of blood, with severed limbs scattered around him, and he was holding a dagger, which he had plunged into the chest of the military cadet from Damocles.
Even he himself wavered at that mont, wondering if he had really lost control.
It wasn’t until Wei San ca looking for them.
He wasn’t fully conscious at the ti, and he didn’t beco wary when Wei San approached.
For so reason, at the mont when Wei San knocked him unconscious, Ying Xingjue’s only thought was how lucky it was that it was her who ca.
Ying Xingjue pressed his cheek against the pillow, gently closed his eyes, and loosely grasped the clay cha model under the thin blanket.
Before he fell asleep, he had only one vague thought.
……Heating and baking clay cha models for a period of ti can help preserve them better.
