Chapter 195: The Principal’s Attention

“Traveler wandering among the billions of Planes, the friendly being that can be commanded within the Spirit Realm, I summon in the na of Janna Roland—Godwalker—Hers!”

Vmmm—A cold wind howled. Accompanied by a flash of deep purple light, a scarecrow wearing a top hat, dressed in a black tailcoat, and donning a gold-rimd monocle appeared abruptly in front of Janna.

“Hello, Summoner”

Looking at the girl who had summoned him, Hers’s deanor remained as friendly as ever.

“Hello, Mr. Hers. I have a letter I’d like you to deliver for .”

As she spoke, a leaf imprinted with Janna’s Spirit Power signature and a Silver Surrel appeared in her hand. “The sender’s address is on the back of this leaf.”

“Verywell”

Using his Magical Control Technique, Godwalker—Hers received the leaf and the Silver Surrel from Janna, gave her a tip of his hat, then leapt lightly into the air and vanished into the void.

“In the na of my will, I summon—Hundred-Eyed Specter.”

After sending off Godwalker—Hers, Janna first summoned Hundred-Eyed Specter.

“Master, you called for (smile).”

“Silver Mirror, use Mirror Illusion to conceal my presence. Do not let anyone see us.”

“As you wish~”

Because Celestial Finch had just evolved not long ago and still could not fully control its own Magic Power, Janna, concerned about alerting the enemy, did not rush to summon Celestial Finch. Instead, she used Hundred-Eyed Specter’s Mirror Illusion to hide her movents and watched the source of the Darksun Contamination from the shadows.

“Hope reinforcents arrive soon—”

Once again, the strategy Janna employed was “report and call for backup.”

And the backup she called for was, of course, the principal of White Coral Academy—Anthony-Rook.

“You called for ?”

Just as Janna was secretly worried whether Godwalker—Hers had managed to deliver the letter to Anthony-Rook, a sinister voice suddenly rang out behind her.

“Principal!”

Seeing the flicker of blue-white flas on the ground, Janna, surprised by Anthony-Rook’s swiftness, turned around with delight.

“Hm? You’ve already grasped a Law Fragnt?”

Raising an eyebrow slightly—although the aura was still faint—the presence of Law on Janna’s body could not escape the eyes of a Formal Wizard.

As a prerequisite for a Wizard Apprentice to advance to a Formal Wizard, Law Fragnt was sothing typically realized only at the peak of Third Tier Wizard Apprentice—and even then, the chances were very slim.

Even Grace Eva, once hailed as Turin’s top apprentice, had not comprehended a Law Fragnt until after becoming a Third Tier Wizard Apprentice.

Even the quicker Anthony-Rook had only grasped his first Law Fragnt while advancing from Second Tier to Third Tier.

“When did this happen?”

“Three weeks ago—that’s right after the Three-School Joint Examination ended?”

“Yes, Principal.”

Looking at Janna, whose attitude remained as modest and courteous as ever, Anthony-Rook showed no expression on his face, but inside, he was extrely pleased with this pleasant surprise.

“Keep it up. Don’t let yourself beco complacent because of a bit of success during your apprentice years. Rember—your true opponents are not in Turin, but in other wizard settlents among their top-tier geniuses—”

Originally intending to warn Janna not to be overly ambitious, Anthony-Rook’s tone beca increasingly earnest as he spoke.

After all, a talent like Janna hadn’t erged in White Coral Academy—or even all of Turin—for many years.

So, to secure a spot in the upcoming White Tower Trials, Anthony-Rook, who had already held high hopes for Janna, now valued her more than ever.

“From this day forward, all your Witchcraft and course exchanges at the academy won’t require Academic Credits—also, you may freely enter the academy library from now on. Except for a few restricted books, everything is free.”

“Thank you, Principal!”

Words of concern and regard could never compare to the tangible investnt of real resources.

Thus, upon hearing Anthony-Rook’s promise, Janna’s usually well-managed expression almost faltered in gratitude.

“Rember, everything I’m doing is also for the benefit of the academy. So, during the White Tower Trials, you must excel—only then can Turin maximize its gain.”

“I understand—”

“Take this.”

Before Janna could finish, a triangular white bone brooch landed in her hand.

“Rember to wear it. At a critical mont, it can save your life.”

“Thank you, Principal—” Janna had lost count of how many tis she had said thank you, but every ti, she had ant it wholeheartedly.

From the Ancient God Contract to the Miraculous Alchemical Seed, to today’s exemption of Academic Credits for Witchcraft, courses, and library access, and now the final gift of the white bone brooch—

Even though Janna knew in her heart that these resource allocations were a way for the academy to support her through the Dordogne—White Tower Trials—

As a backgroundless lay apprentice, being granted such resources filled Janna’s heart with deep gratitude toward the academy.

“Tell exactly how you discovered the contamination.”

Hearing this, Janna put away the white bone brooch and began explaining to Anthony-Rook how she had detected the aura of Darksun Contamination.

“You an to say the source of the contamination is nearby?”

After hearing Janna’s brief description, Anthony-Rook couldn’t help but furrow his brow.

Logically speaking, Darksun Cultists shouldn’t appear within a wizard gathering place.

After all, given the antagonistic relationship between the two sides, any discovered Darksun Cultist would inevitably end up as an experintal subject for the wizards.

“Lead the way as normal. I’ll follow behind—rember, do not expose yourself yet.”

“Understood.”

Whoosh—With a gust of eerie wind, Anthony-Rook’s figure vanished before Janna’s eyes.

“Everchanging Form—”

Now emboldened, Janna no longer hesitated.

With a chant, she instantly cast Basic Transfiguration, transforming into a dull gray sparrow.

At the sa ti, under the cover of Hundred-Eyed Specter, she cautiously flapped her wings and began to fly slowly toward the source of the Darksun Contamination.

Another cold wind blew past, but thanks to the feathers for protection, Janna in her “sparrow form” didn’t feel too cold—only her flight speed was sowhat slower.

“Found it.”
