Chapter 310: His Aura

The night breeze blew gently, stirring the scattered branches on the ground.

Watching the solemn expression of the human-faced willow under the moonlight, Janna, who stood to the side, showed not a trace of worry.

It was not only because Janna knew that the human-faced willow, as a guardian of White Coral Academy, would never easily harm any of its apprentices, but also because, as soone blessed with the talent of Natural Affinity, she could clearly sense the goodwill the human-faced willow held toward her.

"You carry the aura of His Grace."

Just as Janna was still pondering the contents of the Side Quest, the human-faced willow's words shattered the silence between them.

His Grace?

At the ntion of this unfamiliar title, the first person who ca to Janna’s mind was none other than the forr wielder of the Law of Nature and Life who frequently appeared in her dreams—Euphresia.

"Lord Tree Spirit, may I ask, who is this 'His Grace' you’re referring to?"

"He was a great martyr, and the guardian of all living things—His Grace, Euphresia."

It really was him!

Hearing the na Euphresia spoken for the first ti by another being, Janna couldn't help the flicker of excitent that flashed across her eyes.

Until now, she had never co across even the slightest ntion of Euphresia in any of the books in the library. Even when she had asked Anthony-Blackcrow in private, the response had always been vague and evasive—

But now, at last, she had found a being who not only knew of Euphresia but had even seen him while he was still alive.

"Lord Tree Spirit, would you be willing to share more about His Grace, Euphresia—"

"I'm sorry, I cannot."

Before Janna could even finish asking, the human-faced willow firmly rejected her question.

"Because by the ti I ca into awareness, His Grace Euphresia had already vanished forever from the Primary Material World."

At that, Janna's brows furrowed slightly.

"Then why do you believe that I carry His Grace Euphresia’s aura?"

"That’s because the one who awakened —Lord Rosen—was one of His Grace Euphresia’s followers."

"Through Lord Rosen’s mories, I can sense the power unique to Nature and Life that belonged to His Grace Euphresia."

Only then did Janna understand—the human-faced willow had never actually seen Euphresia himself. Rather, it could recognize Euphresia’s aura because it had inherited fragnts of mory from "Rosen," who was ntioned in the Side Quest as the "Oak Giant."

In other words, the very being Janna had been tasked with reviving in this Side Quest was none other than the human-faced willow’s awakener and one of the forr wielders of the Law of Nature and Life—His Grace Euphresia’s follower.

Janna let out a soft sigh. Although she was disappointed that she couldn’t obtain more information about Euphresia from the human-faced willow, if she could succeed in reviving the Oak Giant, that would an gaining a powerful ally, at least of official witch level.

"Lord Tree Spirit, is there sothing you need to do?"

Seeing that the human-faced willow had yet to get to the point, Janna once again took the initiative to ask.

"Indeed, there is sothing I need you to do—or rather, a request I wish to make."

With that, a willow branch gently waved, lifting a dull gray acorn and placing it lightly in front of Janna.

"This acorn is the 'Essence of Life' that Lord Rosen left behind when he departed with His Grace Euphresia. It is also his soul seed."

At those words, Janna carefully reached out and took the oak seed, which showed no unusual characteristics. After a quick glance, she hesitantly said to the human-faced willow,

"Lord Tree Spirit, forgive my bluntness, but I cannot sense any aura of life within this seed..."

For soone with the Natural Affinity talent like Janna, it was impossible for any living plant or seed to escape her perception.

But the mont she took the oak seed, she could tell imdiately—even with her initial mastery over the Growth Law Fragnt, she still couldn’t make a dead seed sprout.

Unless she fully mastered the Law of Life and gained the power to bestow life upon the dead, this Side Quest would be impossible to complete.

"By logic, even if the quest has no ti limit, the system shouldn’t assign a task that completely lacks feasibility."

"Sigh—"

As Janna contemplated the quest's logic, the human-faced willow let out a long, sorrowful sigh before speaking in a heavy tone,

"I have always known that Lord Rosen’s essence had long since dried up, but his soul fla had not yet faded. So, if his essence can be revived, then it would be possible for him to live again—"

"And you are the one who can make his resurrection possible!"

Upon hearing this, Janna hesitated but said nothing.

What the human-faced willow said wasn’t entirely impossible—but it would only be feasible after Janna fully grasped the Law of Life.

However, judging by the current situation, Janna did not believe that the Oak Giant Rosen’s soul fla, contained within the seed, would last that long.

"Well then, it’s still a quest assigned by the system. At worst, I can find a witch skilled in the Authority of the Soul to help stabilize his soul fla—soone like Headmaster Anthony would be a solid choice."

With that thought, Janna carefully stored the oak seed and solemnly said to the human-faced willow,

"Lord Tree Spirit, I accept your commission. But I can’t promise I’ll succeed—"

"You will definitely succeed!"

Looking at the human-faced willow, who harbored such inexplicable trust in her, Janna simply nodded in agreent to ease its mind.

"Don’t worry, I know you witches always value 'equivalent exchange,' so in that regard, I won’t let you suffer any loss—"

Originally feeling a bit gloomy from accepting such a difficult task, Janna couldn’t help but feel a flicker of anticipation when she heard the human-faced willow ntion a reward of its own accord.

"This is the first willow leaf I’ve grown since I gained consciousness—it is my core essence. If given to soone on the brink of death, it can bring them back to life; if taken by soone healthy, it can extend their life by three years—"
