A little while after Margrave Volton and Pri Minister Simon returned, there was a gradual increase of new applicants wishing to immigrate.
Basically, I accepted everyone that Sylph and the Great Spirits approved of, but eting the standards of those Great Spirits wasn’t easy.
Short term, temporary visits to the Sanctuary weren’t as high, but they would have to stay in the Annexed District.
Lord Simon stayed in Madam Rosary’s mansion, but Margrave Volton still stayed in the Lodge at Annexed District.
The Great Spirits and I were looking over the immigration applications.
「I wonder what this is all about. They are all young ladies of respectable families.」
「Takumi, in this world, the youth that have been educated are the children of nobles and wealthy rchants.」
「Indeed. It’s not unusual for workers and farrs to not be able to read.」

Looking at the list, there were many hoping to beco teachers and staff in the school in the Sanctuary. And so, it made sense that the children of nobles and rchants who had received proper education since childhood would apply.
「Moreover, the children of Valkyra Kingdom nobles also attend schools.」
「Oh Undine, isn’t it a place to network and form factions~?」
「Even so, you would need a certain level of knowledge to enroll.」
When Undine ntioned the school in the Royal Capital, Dryas pointed out that it wasn’t an establishnt purely for the pursuit of knowledge.
There was a school in Valkyra Kingdom for the children of nobles and wealthy rchants.
In this world, it was a given for children not born to affluent households were made to work since their youth. Attending school was enough to show one’s family background.
「If the child is exceptionally gifted, they can attend school on a scholarship.」
「They are exceptionally few though.」
To commoners here, literacy was only necessary for adventurers and traders. Even among the traders, only the wealthy could afford to enroll their children into school so they could maintain connections with nobles.
「Still, I’m definitely glad that people want to beco teachers and staff for the school. But what is this music study abroad program?」
「Among the nobles, the concert hall and orchestral band here are famous. Innovative songs and instrunts the world had never seen before have begun spreading to the capital, and there were so aspiring children who wish to learn from the source.」
I was honestly grateful that the school would have an increase in number of teachers and staff because of the personnel shortage. It didn’t necessarily an that being accepted by the Great Spirits equaled excellence, but right now, we were so short on staff that we couldn’t be more particular. As long as they were kind-hearted, we accepted them.
There were also plenty of applicants besides the school teachers and staff, but they were people aspiring to join the orchestra, or learn from them.
These were 100% children of nobles.
Only the children of nobles learn music at such a young age.
「A school specializing in music is interesting, but that’s impossible right now.」
「Currently, everyone in the band focused on their own work, after all.」
I do think it would be possible to establish a music-focused school at so point. Well, considering how we’re already struggling with the lack of personnel in a regular school, having teachers for music was simply unrealistic.
While looking at the list, I brought up the interviews.
Whether or not we accept them is another matter, but if we don’t at least conduct interviews, it could disgrace Lord Simon and Lord Godwin who sent the list.
「It’s fine if we do the interviews in the capital, right?」
「Indeed. Unlike with the civil servant, it would be difficult for them to co all the way here.」
When Undine said that, everyone else nodded.
When they were doing civil servant interviews, the rejected people could still find employnt in Wedgefort and Valor, but it was a different story making nobles, especially the won, co to the Sanctuary for interviews.
「Still, why were there so few n? It’s a 9:1 ratio.」
「Fufu, Takumi-chan, you don’t need to know~ 」
「Eh, Dryas, you know why?」
As the list that was practically all won left confounded, Dryas eluded to knowing the reason.
「Fufu, about that~」
「Okay, okay, there’s no one to be rejected from the docunt screening. Takumi, you can ask that pri minister to confirm the schedule.」
「W-wait, Sylph. Eh, does everyone know?」
I tried to stop people, but they just handed the list and left in a hurry.
What was that about? It was frustrating, but Sylph and the others never say anything at such tis.
