Chapter 92

I returned to the office building with the coffee still warm in my hand. The lobby was quieter than usual because most employees had already left for the day. Only the security team remained.

I stepped into the elevator and pressed the button.

When the elevator doors opened, the hallway was completely dark.

As I walked out, I casually reached for my phone, intending to check the ti so I would not be late returning to her office.

The screen lit up…

And I stopped dead in my tracks.

Out of nowhere, I saw hundreds of notifications flooding the screen. I hadn’t noticed them before because I had put my phone in silent mode.

There’s so many ssages and missed calls piling up on top of each other.

My aunt’s na appeared first.

Then Jiwon.

Hyunjae ca next.

And most of them… were from Harin. Her na filled almost the entire notification list.

There were also several unknown numbers I didn’t recognize.

“What… happened?” I muttered under my breath.

My heart began beating faster for no clear reason. A strange uneasiness settled in my chest, trying to process why so many people were suddenly trying to reach .

I almost opened the ssages. My thumb hovering over the screen, but by then I was already standing in front of Yuna’s office.

I hesitated for a second, then locked my phone and slipped it back into my pocket. Whatever it was, I would check it later. Work ca first.

But just when I was about to knock her door—

*Clatter*

I heard sothing shatter inside, followed by a sharp scream filled with rage ca from beyond the door.

My eyes widened.

Without thinking, I pushed the door open and stepped inside, afraid sothing might have happened to Yuna.

The mont I entered, my breath caught in my throat.

Docunts were scattered everywhere across the floor. So were already crumpled, others torn out from their folders and spread ssily around the office as if soone had thrown them down in anger.

Two coffee cups lay broken on the floor. Dark coffee had splashed across several docunts, soaking the pages and saring the ink.

And Yuna—

She stood in the middle, completely still.

In her hand was a docunt, crushed tightly in her grip.

Her breathing was uneven. She inhaled sharply, then exhaled slowly, as if forcing herself to calm down.

My eyes widened in shock.

“Chairwoman… what happened?”

I quickly stepped inside and placed the coffee carefully on her desk before crouching down imdiately, gathering the scattered docunts one by one. There were too many to ignore. So pages were damp with coffee. I carefully separated the wet papers from the dry ones, trying to salvage what I could without making the ss worse.

Yuna didn’t answer.

I kept picking them up, stacking them carefully.

“Chairwoman?” I called again, more cautiously this ti.

Still nothing.

The silence felt wrong. Heavy.

I glanced up briefly.

She hadn’t moved.

But her eyes were on now.

A faint chill ran down my spine.

“Chairwoman?” I tried again, keeping my tone respectful.

No reply.

Unease slowly tightened in my chest, but I continued gathering the papers anyway, unsure what else to do.

Then…

I heard footsteps.

I looked up slightly.

Yuna walked past without a word, heading toward the door.

For a brief second, I thought she was leaving.

Instead, she closed the door…

And locked it.

.

Yuna rested her back against the door after locking it, her hand still on the handle as if making sure it would not open. She didn’t move away. She simply stayed there, blocking the exit completely.

I slowly stood up from the floor, still holding a stack of docunts in my hands.

Confusion settled heavily in my chest.

“…Chairwoman?” I called carefully. “Are you okay?”

No answer.

She remained silent, her head slightly lowered, her breathing finally steady but unsettlingly quiet.

A strange tension filled the room. The air felt heavy, almost suffocating.

Unsure what to do, I decided to at least clear the ss in my hands. Since there were already docunts placed on the sofa table, I walked over and carefully set the papers down there, aligning them neatly out of habit.

Just as I lowered the stack, sothing on the table caught my attention.

Her tablet.

The screen was still on. I hadn’t ant to look. But the mont my eyes landed on it, I froze.

A news article filled the display.

A large photo appeared at the top.

My breath stopped.

It was… ?

Standing outside a restaurant.

And beside —

Sera?

My fingers stiffened against the docunts as my mind struggled to process what I was seeing.

The headline read:

“Daehan Group Heir Hwang Sera Spotted With Nara Group Chairman’s Aide — Secret Relationship Rumors Spark Speculation.”

What in the world is this? How did sothing like this get published? I thought Sera said she had control over all the dia coverage about her. So why are our faces in the headlines right now? What is going on?

My mind went completely blank.

Slowly, I lifted my head.

Yuna was already looking at . Her gaze was fixed on again. Sharp and unmoving.

She knew I had seen it.

The silence stretched between us.

“Just stay at ho, right, Haemin?”

I could hear the tremor in her voice, as if she were barely holding back her fury.

“Yuna… this—“

“SILENCE!”

Her scream exploded through the room so suddenly that my entire body flinched, stealing the words from my throat.

“I don’t want to hear another word coming from your mouth.”

Her breathing grew uneven, chest rising and falling rapidly as anger overtook every trace of composure she carried.

“To think… you had the audacity to go out with another woman behind my back… on the sa day I was forced to sign that divorce agreent.”

Her voice cracked at the end.

Then—

*BANG!*

Her palm slamd violently against the door behind her. The sharp sound echoed across the office, making jolt where I stood.

She dragged a hand through her hair, fingers trembling as she pressed her palm against her face. For a brief second, her shoulders shook. When she lowered her hand, her eyes were glossy, tears barely held back, but her expression looked almost unrecognisable.

I could only stand there and watch.

Afraid.

I had already witnessed what she usually did when she was in this state. I really wanted to run away right now, but I needed to get past her, and I was sure that wouldn’t go well. I needed to say sothing to calm her down. But she didn’t look like she was in any condition to hear anything.

Then she pushed herself off the door.

She began walking toward . My mind scread to run but my body refused to move. I stood frozen, heart pounding loudly in my ears.

In seconds, she was standing right in front of . The faint scent of her perfu surrounded , close enough that it made my thoughts stumble.

She looked down at , her gaze sharp enough to cut.

Guilt twisted inside my chest, and I couldn’t et her eyes. My gaze dropped instinctively to the floor.

Suddenly, her hand shot forward.

She grabbed my chin and forced my face up.

“Look at .”

I had no choice and t her gaze.

But before I could react—

*KISS*

She slamd her lips against mine.

The kiss was brutal. There’s no tenderness or affections. Just raw possession. Her lips bruised mine, her tongue forced its way in, aggressive and demanding, tangling with mine in a punishing rhythm that stole my breath. I tasted blood from where she’d bitten down, and the faint sweetness of her lipstick mixed with her anger.

Her grip tightened, fingers pressing into my jaw as she held in place.

I tried to pull back, startled by the sudden force.

“Yuna— what are you do—”

She yanked forward again, one hand gripping the back of my head, pressing closer so I couldn’t escape. My protest disappeared against her lips as she deepened the kiss. Her tongue dominated, claiming every inch like she was erasing all that wasn’t her.

My hands lifted instinctively, pushing weakly against her shoulders, but she didn’t move.

She only held tighter. My thoughts scattered completely under the intensity of it.

Finally, she pulled back. A thin string of saliva snapped between us as she stared at , her breathing ragged, eyes dark and trembling. Her hand still gripped my hair, refusing to let it go.

“Yuna—“

“You slept with her, didn’t you, Haemin?”

“W—What?!” The word left before I could stop it. I was too shocked by her sudden accusation.

“Yuna, you’ve gone too far. I would never do that. I’m not that kind of man.”

Her expression didn’t soften.

If anything, her eyes grew colder, as if my denial only made her angrier.

“You’re still going to lie to my face, huh?”

Before I could answer, her hands suddenly shoved hard.

I lost my balance.

My knees hit the edge of the sofa, and I fell back onto it, the impact knocking the breath out of . I stared up at her, stunned, heart racing as she stood over .

She looked down at like I was sothing filthy.

Slowly, she reached up and began removing her clothes, shrugging it off her shoulders easily. Her movent was calm. Completely opposite to the storm raging in her eyes.

“I feel disgusted just looking at you right now.”

Her clothes slipped from her arm and landed on the floor.

“To think you wanted a divorce, just so you could run to her. You really have no sha left, do you, Haemin?”

“That’s not true, Yuna!” I pushed myself up on my elbows. “Please stop saying that. Don’t co any closer.”

Her fingers moved to her belt. The buckle clicked open, and her tailored pants slid down to the floor. She stood completely naked now, making no attempt to cover herself.

Then she stepped forward.

I scrambled backward on the sofa, panic rising sharp in my throat. “Yuna—wait—”

She lunged.

One hand clamped my shoulder, slamming flat against the cushions again. The force knocked my head back and the pain made my head feel dizzy for a mont.

I tried to twist away but she was already on . Her knees pinned my thighs down. Her weight crushed my smaller fra into the leather. At her height, escape wasn’t even a possibility.

“Yuna, please don’t do this…” My voice broke into a desperate whisper. “You promised… you promised you wouldn’t hurt . Please… don’t. I’m begging you. Don’t do this to .”

She leaned down until her face hovered inches above mine. Her breath was cool against my skin.

“Why should I keep that promise? And besides, there’s really no difference if I’m the one doing this, is there? You gave yourself to her the mont our marriage ended. Since you’re already behaving like a slut, I should just treat you like one, shouldn’t I?”

Her hands moved to my waistband.

Fingers hooked under the edge of my pants. She pulled it hard and impatiently. The fabric tore, and the buttons popped off, scattering across the floor. She didn’t stop until everything was shoved down past my thighs, leaving exposed and helpless beneath her.

Panic surged through .

I bucked violently. Shoving at her shoulders with both hands. “Yuna—stop—let go—!”

For a split second, her weight shifted, and a flicker of

hope rose inside .

*SLAP!*

Then her hand struck my face hard.

The sharp sound echoed as my head snapped sideways, pain flaring across mycheek and blinding sparks filling my vision.

“Stop struggling.”

My breath hitching.

She leaned down closer. Her long hair falling like a curtain around us, trapping in her scent.

“The more you struggle, the more I will hurt you. Just stay still,” she whispered, lips brushing my ear.

I went still, tears burned at the corners of my eyes.

She calmly adjust herself above .

And then she lowered herself.

My hands flew up again on pure reflex, trying to push her away.

*SLAP!*

Backhanded this ti. The dried blood on my lips began to bleed again.

“I said stay still.”

I whimpered, arms dropping helplessly to my sides. Every muscle locked in terrified obedience.

She began to move. Slow at first, then harder, each movent of her hips felt deliberate, as if she wanted complete control. Her hands pressed flat against my chest, holding in place as she moved.

*Pant*

Tears slipped silently from the corners of my eyes, soaking into the leather beneath my head. I didn’t make a sound and just let them fall, knowing struggling would only make things worse.

She noticed and imdiately grabbed my jaw again, gripping firmly and turning my face toward her.

“Crying won’t change anything.”

I looked up at her with blurry eyes. No words ca. Only more tears fell.

Her expression darkened again.

*SLAP*

“Don’t look at like that.”

Her palm hit again. It stung sharply, and I could only let out a quiet sob.

*SLAP*

“I SAID DON’T LOOK AT LIKE THAT!”

Pain shot across my face again. My head spun, the room tilting around . I turned my face to the side, refusing to et her eyes anymore. My cheek throbbed while dizziness clouded my head.

She paused her rhythm just long enough to lean closer.

*Pant*

“Do you hate , Haemin?”

I stayed silent. I couldn’t answer.

Then, out of nowhere—

Her hand flew to my throat, fingers wrapping tight, squeezing until my vision flickered at the edges.

“I TOLD YOU TO LOOK AT , DIDN’T I?!”

I gasped, my hands shooting up to grab her wrist. My body jerked back instinctively, trying to pull her away.

She didn’t budge. Instead she drove her hips down harder, faster.

“Do you make that face when you are with her? Do you look this miserable when you do it with Sera? Do you hate her this much when she touches you? Or is it only , your wife, who gets this look from you?

*Pant*

I choked. “Yu…na… I can’t brea—”

“Answer !” she snarled, ignoring my plea entirely. Her hips moving relentlessly.

“Does she make you cry like this? Does she own you the way I do? Am I the only one who ever truly loved you all this ti, while you only think about her?”

“Yu…na… please…”

“ANSWER !”

She kept going, harder and harder, about to reach her limit while I could barely struggle beneath her hold. My vision began to blur, dark spots appearing at the edges.

Then her body suddenly tensed.

A sharp, trembling moan escaped her lips. Her fingers tightened briefly around my throat at the peak of the mont, before slowly loosening as the tension left her and her body finally relaxed.

She leaned forward, breathing heavily against my neck, her face only inches from mine. Sweat covered her skin, and her breath ca out fast and uneven.

The mont her hand moved away, I pulled in air desperately, my chest rising and falling as I struggled to breathe.

“Just why, Haemin?”

Tears spilled freely down my face again, blurring everything in front of . I lifted my arm weakly and covered my face, hiding my expression as my shoulders shook.

“I don’t know… how to explain… to you anymore… Yuna. I really didn’t do anything… what’s in your mind… with Sera.”

I struggled to take another breath, my chest shaking and my throat sore from her grip and my own crying. Every breath felt painful, like it scraped inside my chest.

Yuna’s hadn’t moved off yet. Her weight still pinned to the sofa, thighs resting on either side of , her body warm and trembling above mine.

“Isn’t it enough,” I continued weakly, my voice breaking, “that I didn’t want you to get into trouble yesterday… even though I could have fought harder? Isn’t that enough to prove that I still love you? But… you keep hurting even more.”

I could feel her breath against my neck, but I didn’t dare to look at her.

Yuna didn’t move for several long seconds.

Then, slowly she lifted herself off .

Cold air rushed across my skin where her warmth had been.

She stood beside the sofa now, looking down at , naked still.

She didn’t speak a word, simply watching struggle to hold myself together.

After a mont she turned away.

She walked to where her clothes lay scattered on the floor.

One by one, she picked them up and began to dress again. When she was fully clothed, she paused with her back to .

Her shoulders rose and fell once as she took a deep breath.

“Get up when you can. I’ll be waiting in my car. I’ll take you ho.”

She spoke without turning around. Then walked toward the door and opened it. For a brief mont, she stood there, her back facing , unmoving. I couldn’t see her expression. I couldn’t tell what she was thinking.

Then she stepped out.

The door closed quietly behind her.

And the room fell into silence, leaving a heavy weight pressing in my chest.
