Now reading: Chapter 1066 - 397 [Flawless Galaxy] from Sorry, But I Never Rely On Luck When Playing Cards, a Game novel by Fried Egg With Orange.

[Sword Soul Palace]

Scene, 0/15

[Sword’s Return – Fixed]: Each of our sword category regular reveal cards provides 1 point energy to Sword Soul Palace every round.

[Sword Shaking Technique – 15 points energy]: Sword Soul Palace grants [Dizziness] to the attack of one of our sword cards this round.

The scene card for the Sword Card Deck is another form.

Thus, to make better use of the fixed entry, it is best that the remaining two entry slots are both active skill entries.

Eventually, after so searching for materials, Ree Shil got what he desired.

[Sharp Sword Technique – 15 points energy]: Sword Soul Palace grants [True Damage] to the attack of three of our sword cards this round.

Compared to the hard control of [Dizziness], this [True Damage] is relatively cheaper.

The forr is used to break [Defense], and the latter is used to cut damage reduction—each has its own application under different circumstances.

[Sword Shaking Technique] is definitely more advantageous for focusing fire.

[Sharp Sword Technique] is more flexible, distributed over three cards, able to attack different targets.

The last entry is drastically different from the routes taken by [Sword Shaking Technique] and [Sharp Sword Technique].

[Dark Sword Technique – 15 points energy]: Sword Soul Palace grants [Bloodsucking] to the attack of two of our sword cards this round.

([Bloodsucking]: This round, obtain [Healing] equal to the damage dealt.)

[Bloodsucking] is a relatively rare effect on the card table.

If used well, its effect can be quite impressive.

For example, in a face-off between King Cards, it might just be this bit of extra healing that changes the outco.

But if used poorly, it is as good as non-existent.

For instance, a balance card with 30 attack, hitting a [Defense] card with 10 points of damage reduction, would only yield a pitiful 10 points [Healing].

So in the end, the specific face of this scene card is as follows:

[Sword Soul Palace]

Scene, 0/15

[Sword’s Return – Fixed]: Each of our sword category regular reveal cards provides 1 point energy to Sword Soul Palace every round.

[Sword Shaking Technique – 15 points energy]: Sword Soul Palace grants [Dizziness] to the attack of one of our sword cards this round.

[Dark Sword Technique – 15 points energy]: Sword Soul Palace grants [Bloodsucking] to the attack of two of our sword cards this round.

[Sharp Sword Technique – 15 points energy]: Sword Soul Palace grants [True Damage] to the attack of three of our sword cards this round.

Three entries, flexibly used.

Compared to other cards, Ree Shil didn’t have many scene cards in hand.

Usually in Instances, he would occasionally draw a little.

However, in the last version, those were only suitable as materials for scenes.

The more decent, or rather, the already shaped ones, there were only three left.

[Dandelion Valley] [Big Fish Storm] [Chaotic Frog Post].

Originally, Ree Shil intended to use these three cards to convert into scene cards suitable for the summoning card group or the dragon card deck.

Sothing like [Dragon Dandelion Valley] [Big Dragon Storm] [Dragon Frog Hill].

But when he actually started previewing, he found the situation was not as good as he thought.

These 3 cards did not preview suitable entries.

On the contrary, the previously considered waste cards beca the main focus.

After multiple steps of reshuffling, deck building, and rebuilding, he finally got what he desired.

First was the Dragon Card Deck’s scene card.

[Dragon Graveyard]

Scene

[Dragon’s Destiny – Fixed]: When there is a regular dragon card exiting the field, summon [Dragon Soul] on its square next turn.

[Ancestors’ Protection – Flexible]: When [Dragon Soul] is killed, grants 30 points [Shield] to a dragon card next turn.

[Transcendent Repaynt – Flexible]: When [Dragon Soul] is killed, grants 30 points [Healing] to a dragon card this round.

[Soul Revenge – Flexible]: When [Dragon Soul] is killed, the damage source this round receives 1 point [Quantum Entanglent].

[Dragon Soul]

Balance, 5 points, E-Rank

Attack 5, 1/1

(Note: Thanks to designer [qajqaj] for the concept.)

This card is actually a pure strength card designed to be paired with dragon cards.

The first and second flexible entries are a bit similar.

But they are used differently.

One is delayed, the other is imdiate.

If our dragon card releases an AOE to take them out, it can still benefit.

points of attack power isn’t much, but if the enemy clears them, they’ll waste an attack opportunity, and might trigger [Quantum Entanglent].

So for the enemy, the appropriate solution is also an AOE, or a second-level summoned card.

If we don’t play dragon cards ourselves, this last entry can be used against enemy dragon cards.

Much like the dragon card deck is difficult to construct, dragon scene cards are also hard to co by.

Mainly because the materials are scarce.

Even this card, he managed to scrounge up the materials for it.

Still, it’s better than nothing.

Compared to the dragon card deck scene card, the summoning card group scene card is relatively more powerful.

Mainly because, Ree Shil managed to create a rather special chanism.

[Spirit Soil]

Scene

[Land Expansion – Fixed]: Each 2 rounds, Spirit Soil territory can expand to occupy an additional card position.

[Warfare – Flexible]: Attack power of our second-level summoned creatures on Spirit Soil territory 5.

[Nourishnt – Flexible]: Our second-level summoned creatures on Spirit Soil territory gain 10 points [Healing] each round.

[Looting Land – Flexible]: Scene cards of the enemy on Spirit Soil territory beco nullified.

First off, its fixed entry is quite special.

Its basis was a scene card he previously obtained from the [Way of Chasing Wind].

But he had been struggling to find compatible scene cards and materials.

Now, with so easy gathering of materials, it could finally take shape.

The first two flexible entries, one focuses on offense, the other survival.
