Now reading: Chapter 12 - 6: Survival Challenges2 from Sorry, But I Never Rely On Luck When Playing Cards, a Game novel by Fried Egg With Orange.

Of all the cards, the only suitable one for Straw Man was the D-level[Fire Extinguisher].

[Fire Extinguisher]: Obtain a fire extinguisher, significantly increasing your own fla resistance

Moreover, the extra effect provided by this card could help Straw Man overco his fatal weakness of being afraid of fire.

"So fun, grass!"

Straw Man manifested the fire extinguisher in his hand and began spraying dry ice.

He enjoyed spraying for a few minutes, and the dry ice spray’s strength remained constant, indicating that this should be an unlimited fire extinguisher.

After choosing the equipnt card, one person, one grass, and one mushroom began discussing where to go next.

"What do you think we should do now?"

Ree Shil looked at Straw Man and Mossy Mushroom for their opinions.

"Party ti, grass!"

Straw Man raised his hand first.

"What do you think we should do now?"

Ree Shil looked at Mossy Mushroom, dropping the word "you."

"Twenty-four hours isn’t actually that long. We can hide sowhere."

Mossy Mushroom suggested they hide.

"I disagree."

Ree Shil shook his head.

"You already have your own idea, so why are you asking !"

Mossy Mushroom covered its chest in frustration.

However, Ree Shil soon explained his reasoning.

Admittedly, one could simply hide in a corner to pass a one-day survival challenge.

But who knows if the second stage of the survival challenge is 2 days, 3 days, or even 5 days or 10 days.

Avoiding danger is important, but one cannot ignore the issue of supplies, naly food and water.

Not to ntion that he hasn’t forgotten that there’s a hidden mission in this instance.

If they stayed in the sa place, the chances of triggering the hidden mission would likely be low.

"That makes sense, grass!"

Straw Man raised both hands in agreent after hearing the reasoning.

He was a bit hungry and urgently needed a cup of hot water to make milk tea.

"In movies, they usually look for convenience stores in situations like this."

Mossy Mushroom was also convinced.

After reaching a consensus, one person, one grass, and one mushroom started to climb over the iron fence.

Since Mossy Mushroom was too short, it was thrown over by Straw Man.

"It seems there are fewer Zombie Beasts than we thought."

Ree Shil landed and began observing the street.

Overturned trash cans, shattered glass, charred remains of burned vehicles, and blue light fluid scattered everywhere created a chaotic and shocking scene on the street.

In the distance, at both ends of the street, a few Zombie Beasts were slowly swaying.

Apparently, this city had completely lost order.

But Ree Shil judged that the ti since the disaster struck should not be too long since most of the power facilities were still operating.

"Convenience store! Convenience store! Grass!"

These Zombie Beasts seed to have poor hearing, as Straw Man’s shouting didn’t disturb them at all.

"It doesn’t seem easy to find one."

Mossy Mushroom observed both ends of the street, noticing only clothing stores and not a single convenience store.

"Maybe we need a transportation tool."

Ree Shil went to an electric vehicle that had fallen on the ground.

He twisted the valve, and the wheels turned a few tis before stopping. It was out of power.

"There’s a car! There’s a car! Grass!"

It didn’t take long for Straw Man to run off into the distance.

"...You sure know how to pick, huh."

Mossy Mushroom was speechless upon seeing the vehicle that he had pointed to.

Among all the abandoned cars on the street, this guy chose a fire truck.

Based on its appearance, the truck was still in good condition.

"You have a good eye."

Ree Shil praised him.

It was obvious that the road conditions here were bad, so the fire truck should be able to pass over so roadblocks more easily.

However, that was secondary. Most importantly, there was soone in the vehicle.

Specifically, a Zombie Beast was trapped in the driver’s cabin.

At this mont, it was pawing at the glass in Straw Man’s direction.

With a driver present, there was a good chance that the car keys were there as well.

Ree Shil had previously checked several cars, none of which had keys.

"This is it, grass."

Straw Man pulled open the car door.

[Roar!]

The Zombie Beast driver imdiately lunged at him.

"Get lost, grass!"

However, Straw Man kicked the Zombie Beast, sending it flying several ters away.

"There really are keys! Great, Cute Mushroom!"

Mossy Mushroom was the first to climb onto the truck and saw that there indeed were keys inserted.

"Sothing’s not right."

At this point, Ree Shil noticed that the number of Zombie Beasts on the street seed to be increasing.

Just a mont ago, there were only four or five, but now there were seven or eight, all of which had crawled out of their houses.

In addition, the eyes of the Zombie Beasts had all turned red, and their previously slow-moving bodies beca increasingly agile.

It seed as though the entire Zombie Beast population was becoming restless.

[Roar!]x2

Two more Zombie Beasts discovered their presence.

They stumbled but moved faster and faster, running towards them.

"Hurry up and get in the car! Cute Mushroom!"

Mossy Mushroom quickly called for Ree Shil and Straw Man.

"Don’t pull , grass!"

Originally, Straw Man wanted to charge ahead to deal with them but was dragged into the car by Ree Shil.

Ree Shil felt that sothing was off.

As expected, within just ten or so seconds, the number of Zombie Beasts on the street increased once again.

Another four or five Zombie Beasts appeared, bringing the total to more than ten.

[Roar!]x2

Boom! Boom! Boom!

At that mont, the two Zombie Beasts arrived in front of the car and used their heads to forcefully hit the car door.

"Hey, which one of you can drive? Hurry up!"

Mossy Mushroom found the scene sowhat scary and urged them on.

Its legs were short, so it couldn’t drive the vehicle at all.
