Now reading: Chapter 261 - 102: Don’t Push People Too Far from Sorry, But I Never Rely On Luck When Playing Cards, a Game novel by Fried Egg With Orange.

A new round began, and neither side needed to replace any cards during the Replacent Phase.

Only one card was left to be revealed during the Unveiling Stage.

That was Bear’s King Card.

[Burning Rescue Team! Get ready!]

As the King Card was unveiled, a small upright bear ran out of the card face.

It wore a white helt with a red cross drawn on it, and a first aid bag on its back.

The first thing that ca to Ree Shil’s mind when seeing this guy was Mossy Mushroom’s [Cheer Up Mushroom].

The art style was as unreliable as that of [Cheer Up Mushroom].

But in reality, other people’s cards seed very reliable.

[Burning dics]

Determination, 20 points, B

Attack 0, 200/200, 3/5

[Ergency Rescue - Passive]: In the round when Burning dics is revealed, it can release a 25 points [First Aid] without occupying an action.

[Peace Elite - Passive]: Burning dics’ attack power -20, gain 3 energy points at the beginning of the ga.

[Healing Expert - 2 Energy Points]: Burning dics performs 10 points of [Healing] on 1 target. Each remaining energy point allows for an additional release.

Although this card is worth only 20 points, it doesn’t even have 1 point of attack power.

Its core strategy is quite obvious.

It relies purely on multiple [Healing] within the sa round to exchange for the assisting attack of [Ancient Battlefield Spirit].

In other words, it is purely responsible for healing while the DPS is done by the spirit.

In the ideal state, when its energy is fully charged at 5/5, it can be released 4 tis for a total of 40 points of healing amount.

With the combination of [Mysterious Nurse] and [Companion Spirit Follower], it can easily trigger the attack of the [Ancient Battlefield Spirit] every round.

After the Reveal Card phase, the action round arrived.

[You need healing!]

Shoo! 25

Green light scattered, and the [Burning dics] took the initiative to launch [First Aid], lifting [Shadowy Demon]’s health by 25 points.

This pushed [Shadowy Demon]’s health from 60 points to 85 points.

Seeing this scene completed, Bear showed a smile on his face.

"Even if you use all your 4 cards together, you can only hit [Shadowy Demon] for 80 points of health."

"Now that [Shadowy Demon]’s health is enough to withstand your focusing fire, it can enjoy the healing from my remaining cards."

"And after I’ve taken out your [Kung Fu Sheep Rabbit], you won’t have the ability to take down [Shadowy Demon] anymore."

After [Shadowy Demon] was focused and fired, it still had 5 health left, and the follow-up [Companion Spirit Follower] released 10 points of healing, [Mysterious Nurse] released 20 points of healing, and [Burning dics] released another 20 points of healing, raising it to a total of 55 points of health.

Without [Kung Fu Sheep Rabbit], the opposing DPS capabilities from the next round on would not be able to keep up with their own healing capabilities.

All in all, under the care of a bunch of healers, [Shadowy Demon] just wouldn’t die.

And it could also trigger continuous attacks and healing from the Scene Card.

"?"

However, Ree Shil tilted his head to the side in confusion.

"Did you forget that it’s already been 5 rounds?"

"5 rounds? What 5 rounds?"

For a mont, Bear didn’t quite catch on.

[Please enjoy my sword dance~]

Only when [Sword Dance Girl] floated up in the air and began dancing did he suddenly realize what was going on.

Yes, without realizing it, the card ga had already reached the 7th round, the 6th round since [Sword Dance Girl] was revealed.

After enduring for the previous 5 rounds, she finally gathered enough energy!

"So what if it’s like this, it doesn’t matter."

Bear pursed his lips, showing that he didn’t care.

In his view, the outco of the ga was already determined, and it wouldn’t matter if the opponent released the skills now.

If [Sword Dance Girl] were using her skills, she wouldn’t be able to attack this round.

So, this round, the only benefit she could bring to the team was increasing the attack power of each surrounding card by 10, for a total increase of 30 points.

If she participated in the attack, she would enjoy the bonus from [Three Demons of Martial Hall], which would result in an even higher attack power total.

"To play Cube Card, you can’t be bad at math."

However, Ree Shil calculated a different answer.

First, let’s see what would happen if the 4 cards collectively focused fire on [Shadowy Demon].

As boosted by [Three Demons of Martial Hall], during their attacks on [Shadowy Demon], the attack power of the 4 cards was 25 (Three Demons) 20 (Monkey) 35 (Dancing Lady) 40 (Sheep Rabbit).

Taking into consideration the [Shadow Physique], the result was:

(25-10) (20-10) (35-10) (40-10) = 80 points.

This result was also calculated by Bear.

But if [Sword Dance Girl] released [Dancing Sword] and gained the 2 rounds of [Encourage], the attack power of the 3 cards would be 35 (Three Demons) 30 (Monkey) 50 (Sheep Rabbit).

Again, calculating the result based on [Shadow Physique] gave:

(35-10) (30-10) (50-10) = 85 points.

A crucial 5 points higher than the 4 cards focusing fire.

The underlying principle is very simple: in the face of fixed damage reduction passes like [Light Body Technique] and [Shadow Physique], the fewer attacks made with the sa total attack power, the higher the damage inflicted.

For example, during [Kung Fu Sheep Rabbit]’s one-on-one match with [Savage Shell Splitter].

When the attack power was 20 points and the attack was 1 part of 20 points, the damage dealt would be 20-5 = 15 points.

When the attack power was 20 points and the attack was 2 parts of 10 points each, the damage dealt would be (10-5) (10-5) = 10 points.

This small difference was what Bear had overlooked.

[Miecha ~!]

[Train hard!]

[Gulu Gaga!]

-40,-25,-20

At this mont, all he could do was watch as his [Shadowy Demon] was slain by the three-card focusing fire.
