With 7 Breakthrough Inscriptions in hand, Ree Shil felt that the little monsters were simply not worth his ti.

Inside the listone cave of the sixth gate, he quickly killed a stone-eating beast.

"Too bad there’s no Breakthrough Inscription this ti."

All three of his choices were one-star rated.

[Wind Chaser - Mobile Output★]: When your card [moves], it can still [attack]

[Wisdom - Levitating Device ★]: When your card releases non-attack damage skills, if the targets exceed 3, add one more target

[Listening to the Wind - Quiet Mind Listening★]: When your wind listening card is stationary, recovers an extra 0.2 points of energy

"No surprise with one-star inscriptions, they’re all quite underwhelming."

Shaking his head slightly, he revealed his disappointnt.

The [Mobile Output] seems good, but first, your card has to be able to [move].

Unfortunately for him, he didn’t have a card that fit the bill.

The [Levitating Device] increasing one target is good, but it requires at least 4 targets to take effect.

The card in his hand that affected the most targets with AOE was the Fox Head Guard, which was only 3 and, therefore, it couldn’t trigger the effect.

As for [Quiet Mind Listening], rely gaining an additional 0.2 energy didn’t seem worth it. An additional recovery of 0.5 would be better.

"I’ll pick the wind listening card. It’s the only one I can use."

"I’ll probably have to strengthen it to get from 0.2 to 0.5."

"But I don’t have any wind listening cards to play."

The wind listening cards’ skills are usually quite powerful, but their long warm-up ti and stringent stationary conditions ant that he didn’t have a suitable card deck at present.

Despite the situation being less than ideal, he still ended up choosing [Quiet Mind Listening].

Continuing on his way, he encountered a fork in the road.

"Huh?"

This was a real fork, not the kind impeded by an air wall.

He chose to explore one of the paths first, which ended with a stone-eating beast.

The beast was slightly bigger than a regular stone-eating beast, with patches of petrified skin on its body.

Behind it, two orbs of light, one orange and one blue, were visible.

Ree Shil was familiar with these orbs; if he defeated the beast, the orbs would expand into a teleportation portal.

As the beast guarding the gate, it was only natural for it to be stronger than a regular monster.

"But since this is the entrance to the next level, what’s down the other path?"

Ree Shil pondered for a mont, then decided not to rush into a fight. Instead, he retreated.

Returning to the fork, he chose the other path.

The surroundings remained a cave environnt, with bubble-popping, lava streams of varying widths. There was nothing particularly unique about it.

"This guy, is quite interesting."

However, at the end of the path, he ca across a differently looking stone-eating beast.

Smaller in size than a regular stone-eating beast, its body was unnaturally white.

Its appearance resembled albinism, and all over it were knob-like but stone-like growths, which were rather disgusting.

Its attack radius was quite small, extending only half a ter from it - it didn’t seem to be particularly aggressive.

"Let’s take care of it first, it doesn’t seem strong."

Ree Shil approached and entered its attack radius.

Buzz!

A blue light descended, and a card table was laid out.

A line of prompts hung above the table at the sa ti.

[Defeat the stone-eating beast within 3 rounds, or it will escape]

[This stone-eating beast is suffering from a debilitating illness, and is continuously in a state of [Petrification]]

"A new chanism?"

Ree Shil was taken aback montarily.

The enemy was in [Petrification] throughout, and he only had 3 rounds.

Did this an he needed to leverage his entire output?

Since it was so, he could fully utilize his maximum of 300 points, preferably not with inscriptions that reduced attack power.

After so contemplation, he laid out his card deck.

Headline District:

[Ugly Man] [Dazzling Dark Stone Eating Beast] [Heart Devouring Stone Beast]

A total of 80 points

Next Line:

[Three Flag-bearers of the Martial Arts Hall] [Sword Dancing Lady] [Iron Stick]

A total of 75 points

Third Line:

[Great Fire Demon] [Blade Mantis Mother] [Jade Antler Deer]

A total of 120 points

King Card:

[Kung Fu Sheep Rabbit]

points

The total ca exactly to 300 points.

Whoosh!

Once the card deck was laid out, the stone-eating beast on the opposite side was thawed from its ti-space freeze in a white flash.

The area it occupied was not big, just a single card position.

[Disease Mutant Stone-eating Beast]

Balanced, Attack 0, 1000/1000

[Stone Disease - Passive]: When the Disease Mutant Stone-eating Beast is in the state of [Petrification], it can release 100 points of [Healing] in this round

([Petrification]: Loss of action ability, reduce total damage received by 100 this round)

"This is a mob? The survival ability is too exaggerated."

After viewing the opponent’s card, Ree Shil raised his eyebrows.

This card, of course, was one he wanted.

[Petrification] itself was a type of self-protection ability.

Together with free healing that didn’t drain energy, didn’t that make it a healing card with superb sustainability and self-protection capability?

From this perspective, it was very attractive.

Since he wanted it, he would have to maximize his output.

Before the ga starts, he needed to select a few targets.

[Breakthrough Attack★]: Choose one of your Breakthrough cards at the start, it can take an extra action

He chose [Kung Fu Sheep Rabbit]for this target.

[Breaking the Montum - Join Hands to Defeat the Enemy ★★★]: Choose one Breakthrough card and one target card this round, when the Breakthrough card [attacks], the acquired energy will be transferred to the target card

He also chose the [Kung Fu Sheep Rabbit]for this target, and assigned the [Iron Stick]to output the transferred energy.
