"Alright, no problem."
Ree Shil showed an innocuous smile, as warm as the pure-hearted male lead in a campus drama.
"Um, well... I’ve found a good place."
The Hunchback Woman was montarily stunned, but quickly regained her composure: "But I’m afraid to go there alone!"
"I don’t know how to describe it, anyway, just follow ."
She waved her hand, beckoning Ree Shil to follow.
"..."
Ree Shil figured that since he could resurrect, he didn’t have much to fear, so he followed her.
However, for safety reasons, he never walked side-by-side with her.
Instead, he lagged behind by half a step, just in case.
Regarding his actions, the Hunchback Woman didn’t seem to mind.
On their way, they took a winding route and did not encounter any guards.
After passing through a staircase leading up, they arrived at the second floor.
This second floor had only a circular corridor, completely empty in the middle, allowing an unobstructed view of the first floor.
Ree Shil discovered that the area below seed to be a temple-like place, with two large statues standing erect.
The statues stood on an altar, with a wolf-headed and a tiger-headed figure on either side.
The wolf-headed figure clutched a string of Buddha beads, its nose wrinkled and mouth wide open, appearing to be roaring angrily.
The tiger-headed figure held a Zen stick and stood in a heroic posture, its eyes wide open as if ready to burst.
In front of the two statues was a wolf-headed figure sitting cross-legged.
It wore clothing similar to that of a martial monk, with a skull necklace around its neck, and an exceptionally tall stature.
At this ti, the wolf-headed figure’s eyes were tightly shut, and it remained motionless.
Only the hand that was constantly twirling the Buddha beads testified that it was not asleep.
Above its head floated three characters: "Guardian Officer."
"Look over there."
The Hunchback Woman led him to the side of the statues, pointing at the base of the two statues.
From their vantage point, they could see that between the legs of the statues there was a Rune Light Sphere partially exposed on each side.
It would not have been easy to spot if it weren’t for their high-angle view.
But the Guardian Officer seed to be very formidable, and they might be caught before they could even get the Light Spheres if they went down.
"Why don’t you go down and lure him away while I get the Light Spheres, one for each of us."
At this ti, the Hunchback Woman crouched down with him and whispered in a lower voice.
"Let’s play rock-paper-scissors."
Ree Shil felt that the other party did not seem easy to deceive, so he proposed a fair (?) plan.
With his skill, he could easily achieve victory by releasing his hand 0.1 seconds late.
"Alright."
The Hunchback Woman agreed readily.
However, just as the two of them were getting into position to begin, soone suddenly barged in below.
This person’s hair resembled green crystal blades, and a number floated above his head: Contestant 45.
Ree Shil rembered seeing him on the leaderboard, a person who had already released one spell.
"Huh? I took the wrong path!"
The mont Contestant 45 saw the fearso Guardian Officer, his face changed drastically.
Without saying another word, he turned and tried to flee.
[Stop!]
But the Guardian Officer’s resounding, powerful shout forced him to take a glance back involuntary.
"Huh?"
To his surprise, he found himself unable to move.
Hum!
At this ti, a semicircular blue light barrier rose, shrouding Contestant 45 and the Guardian Officer together.
And an elevated platform rose under their feet.
The platform was square, with elastic thick horizontal railings on all four sides.
It resembled... a boxing ring.
(Is the Guardian Officer also a superpower user?)
Seeing this scene, Ree Shil had such a thought in his mind.
"Huh?!"
At this mont, Contestant 45 was astonished once more.
Because he could move again, but at so point, his hands had been fitted with blue boxing gloves.
[How dare you try to escape, let catch you!]
The Guardian Officer stood up on the opposite side of the boxing ring, shook his hands, and put on red boxing gloves out of thin air.
Standing in front of him, Contestant 45, of average height, was like a child.
(What on earth is this...)
Ree Shil found the scene extrely bizarre.
"Hmph, trying to catch won’t be so easy!"
Failure in his attempt to break through the blue light barrier, Contestant 45 simply turned around, facing the Guardian Officer.
Unexpectedly, the muscles in his right arm suddenly bulged, almost ripping his sleeve.
Then, he launched a punch into the air at the Guardian Officer, displaying his drawn superpower.
[Cannon Fist]: A powerful air cannon punch, but the arm will lose sensation for a while
Boom!
The invisible air cannon blasted and struck the Guardian Officer’s chest.
"This is impossible!"
In the next instant, Contestant 45, with his limp right arm, scread in disbelief.
His superpower air cannon had no effect, rely making the Guardian Officer take a few steps back.
There was no injury, only the disarray of his clothes!
[A re trifle, and you dare to show off!]
The Guardian Officer’s shout was still full of energy, indicating that the punch just now had done no real damage and had even infuriated him.
With one stride, he reached Contestant 45 and raised his enormous fist to strike.
Bang!
"Ouch!"
Contestant 45 scread as he collided with the corner post of the ring, then rolled his eyes and fainted.
Only one punch, just one punch had knocked out the contestant.
"Wow."
Ree Shil whispered a surprised cry, in a low voice.
The monstrous strength of the Guardian Officer!
Hum...
Subsequently, the boxing stage descended slowly, and the blue light barrier vanished without a trace.
Carrying Contestant 45 like a dead chicken, the Guardian Officer left the room.
